Three strikes and I'm done. I have given this location several chances but today took the cake. Not only was I charged for an item I didn't want or receive I later find out the gift card I purchased had zero dollars on it. Smh Imagine giving a person their gifts and a gift card with zero dollars WOW Manager couldn't figure out how to refund me because the card was activated. That's right activated with no money on it. Now I have to continue to be inconvenienced and chase down my money by calling corporate. Buyers beware. This was the secure I was overcharged. The other time I made a hair appointment with Desiree only to be swapped to an attendant who was very inexperienced. She later asked for help from the person I had booked originally. The appointment took twice as long as it should have. Why book appointments if you're going to switch out providers. Avoid this place all you'll get is the run around overcharging and bad service I don't recommend this place at all read more

We went in today and were helped by Mariah immediately. I showed her the products I was looking for and she was so helpful. She took me to all of the areas where they were located and even took the time to explain the hair care product she used. I left very satisfied. Great customer service! read more

Was Disappointed by the False Advertisement of the 20% off for being pre approved for the credit card. The CSR had accidentally scanned One of my items twice, bringing my total to almost $200 instead of the anticipated $150. I understand casual mistakes. When she told me my pre approval was under review, and I wouldn't be getting the 20% off, I asked to speak with a manager. The Manager made an excuse saying it's just the system. DONT HAVE YOUR EMPLOYEES SCAM CUSTOMERS!! Should have Recieved $30 off as that's 20% of $150. Good thing I noticed she was also about to double charge me!!! Wow read more

Went to have my hair done in their salon and love it. Destiny worked her magic on my hair. I am so pleased with the service and the way it turned out. I am so glad I tried them. I don't know why this Ulta has 2 stars. I've never experienced rude staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful. No one has ever given me attitude. I will keep going back to this Ulta!! read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. No greeting. No assistance as I obviously searched the barren shelves - only to find that the very last of the item I wanted had been opened. I went to the counter and showed the cashier the tampered with item. She went to check the stock and came back and told me they were out. But I could order it to my house. But couldn't use the coupon because "It's Ulta but different. Sorry you can't use a coupon. You'd have to order it yourself and use the coupon but then you'd get charged for shipping." I'd rather go to Sephora and pay full price than order from Ulta. read more

Maggie did a great job guiding me through what I needed and taking the time to show me the makeup I wanted. Also great with color matching.

went in, 130pm on a Monday. No one on the floor to help. waited in 20 min line to ask for color help and was going to get a whole new line of skin care. (had a budget for about $500) was told by co manager that there was no one to help and he told me to have a good day. read more

Please, when I spend $160 on Lancôme face serum, don't be so greedy with more samples. After all, the reason I bought the Lancome serum was because of a sample so I guess now that you've got me to buy it, You're gonna be greedy with samples come on now. And when I ask for more samples, don't look at me like I'm begging for something. I doubt I will go back there. read more

Every time I come to this location I'm being stared at or followed by the employees like I'm stealing. There is always a lot of people in the store and they only do it to me. It makes me feel so uncomfortable and judged. I just wanted to buy make up but now I have to go through my day knowing that this happens to me every time I come here and just get over it because nothing is going to be done about this. I can't change the way I look. I would never steal. read more

Horrible customer service. The manager is rude & unprofessional. One of the workers was fighting with me over my order. It was so awkward. I definitely will not be back to this Ulta read more

Walked into this store with my wife and we were met with lazy Workers that put more effort in giving attitude than being helpful. Another time we had to deal with this place was when we order through curbside and I sat there for over an hour until I got annoyed and walked in the store and again was met with confrontational and rude workers. Almost forgot to mention how lazy they are. It's curbside I shouldn't have to be walking into the store. The store could improve by firing everyone and rehiring better workers and management or another way to improve is firing everyone and closing down the store. Online orders and USPS/ups shipping gets to me faster than your lazy workers and curbside. read more

Never a pleasant experience at this location. The staff make you feel like an inconvenience, and they are unwilling to be kind or helpful to those with disabilities and injuries. I have gone back several times bc I do like to buy gifts at Ulta, and sometimes i can only get something in-store... but I always regret it. These young women are so devastatingly rude. Today was no different. I will try to buy online when I can. read more

Very disappointed with their salon. I have been going to their salon for two years for color and cuts with Carolina. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter to get her hair cut with her. The day before I get a call from Carolina asking me if I could go in at that very moment, I obviously couldn't which is why I had booked the appointment for the following day. The day of my daughter's appointment, we showed up right on time and got ignored. No one asked me if I needed help and then when Carolina finally acknowledged us, she asked if we could come back in 10 minutes. I said yes, even though it was an inconvenience to me. When we came back and again, we were ignored and then I noticed that Carolina coloring someone's hair and completely ignored us. We ended up just leaving. It's obvious that a color appointment is worth her time more than a child's hair cut, but I took half the day off from work. There's a reason for booking appointments. Very disappointed and I will no longer get my own hair done there. read more

I finally found a stylist that I really liked. The last visit, I told her I really wanted to get highlights done. She said she would schedule my next appointment with enough time to get that done. A few weeks later, I got my appointment reminder. When I looked, it was just for a root touch up. I canceled the appointment and rescheduled it for another day with a full highlight service. She was kind enough to leave a voicemail when I couldn't answer, and let me know she wouldn't be able to take me that day because she was off. When I called back, another stylist answered and said she would be able to get me in for the next week. I agreed and was open to coming in at any time. I get a notification later on in the day with a cancelation and they never rescheduled. I went online, hoping I would find another opening with enough time for the highlights service and a haircut. I was never able to find anything and got frustrated with their online booking. read more

I love this store! I live closer to the Ulta at the market place, but I'll make the drive to come this one! At the other ulta my experience never feels good, it feels like they are constantly looking over my shoulder and watching everything I do when I'm just shopping around at products. I usually leave empty handed because it's so uncomfortable! But I could spend hours in this store. I feel comfortable that if I need something I can ask, otherwise they let me do my shopping in peace! read more

Today is August 1st. It has been 2 days since my review of Ulta on Rosedale Hwy. in Bakersfield. Again reiterating my earlier review, I WAS to be contacted by a customer service representative from Ulta As of 2:00 pm PDT, I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED NOR DO I BELIEVE I WILL BE!!!! Ulta in my opinion DOES NOT CARE about it's customers or they would have contacted me. Find a different company to purchase beauty products/supplies from!!! Although ULTA responded to this post, I was also TOLD, by your own Customer Service Representative, that I would be contacted. We'll, today is August 5th and STILL NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON HAS CONTACTED MR!!!!! Also in your response you stated "my concerns" would be sent to the manager. However you still FAIL TO STATE what will and is going to be done about your lack of customer service. To me this is just typical rhetoric from a company that does not have their customers in mind, but they only care about their bottom line and that is "PROFIT". ULTA also just passed the problem to someone else (swept it under the rug). We'll FYI, I DO NOT GO AWAY!!!!! This was uncalled for!!!!! In my opinion, there are plenty of other companies out there to do business with. DO NOT do business with ULTA!!!!!! read more

Online pick up, did curbside . Curbside is available till 7pm, Yes I am one of those customers that came at 635pm. I call the store an told them I was in curbside an she couldn't find me . I didn't know I was suppose to click in here on my email receipt. The sales Associates came to my car an ask to look at my email an show me what to do next time I do curbside. She was really friendly an said no problem. It was so easy just to pull up an not go inside. read more

I went into the rosdale Ulta today and I did still spend my money but I was NOT HAPPY with the customer service I received AT ALL. Unfortunately I did not get her name, but not like it matters, LOL. She specifically worked in the makeup section. She was EXTREMELY rude and it was completely unprovoked. I had my friend with me and we both were so shocked with how nasty this makeup lady was. All we asked for was a shade match and she proceeded to give her opinion where it was not needed. I am a bride and I went in looking for more affordable makeup for MY PERSONAL BUDGET and MY LIFESTYLE and it seems as though that was not good enough for her for whatever reason. All I wanted was a shade match to match my light self tans little better and she asked me what product I was using for the tan because it doesn't look good, and it looks blotchy. She then kept telling me the drugstore brands I was looking at weren't good enough for a wedding day. That she would never wear that on her wedding day, as if I care. And she never even gave me a shade match lol. Me and my friend just figured it out ourselves . Needless to say, that was an awful experience and I won't be going back to that ulta. Why would anyone hire someone with such a disgusting personality? And she even mentioned that wasn't her regular store, and that this Ulta store on rosdale "sucks" compared to wherever else she came from. So she wasn't even a regular employee at that location, and she hated her job and took it out on us for some reason. Yea. Not going back to this Ulta anymore. I wish I didn't need makeup for my wedding day because I would have walked right out of the store after she was done "helping" us. read more

I made an online appointment and it was easy to set up. Once arrived We were greeted with a friendly staff member. There was no wait time she got my daughter in law in for her eyebrows with Marilia and she did a fantastic job. Then Destiny did her hair and makeup it looked awesome. My daughter in law was so pleased with everything especially because this was a surprise. Then she wanted a specific eye shadow and the staff member took us over to were it was at so helpful. Upon checking out not a long wait even though it was busy. The cashier Kyleigh was friendly even asked if we had an account with them. She took the phone number to the account. After paying she "thanked" us! Overall all fantastic customer service! read more

I come to this location often because it's the closest. Unfortunately, it's the worst lol not only have I been followed around but the associates are always so rude and unhelpful. I enjoy shopping alone, I mind my business. This skincare rep comes up to me, I make small talk. I understand she's trying to do her job BUT to call out someone's facial insecurities isn't the right way. Why would I want to buy anything while they're insulting me? Let's not forget the racial profiling that was done while I was standing in line to pay. A black lady walked in, casually shopping and I hear the manager & security tell other associates to keep an eye on her. WHAT THE FUCK?! ugh, I'm so tired of ULTA and Sephora doing this bullshit read more

Racist AF!!! Walked in to get some lashes but where the lashes are it is the line to pay and it was long so I was walking around looking at perfumes and an associate kept starring at me. I found a smell I fell in love with and but I only seen the tester and I couldn't find the name of the perfume since it only had the brand, so I walked up to that same associate and asked her if the tester belonged to any of the other two perfume boxes there, she looked at me, rolled her eyes, grabbed the bottle from my hand and told me the name of it then put the bottle back where there was no boxes behind it and just walked away! I looked at her like, EXCUSE ME! Hello! I was wanting a bottle if you had any!!!! She didn't even turn around anymore and kept walking! I just walked out! Disrespectful and uncalled for! read more

Ulta doesn't want to really fix the issue they fried my hair and only said use the purple shampoo it will do wonders for your hair so being quoted 75.00 paid double and sold product that they said it will get better soon but it started breaking and now won't take ownership of their faulty salon and the only thing they can offer is to try and fix it but the only way to fix it is to cut it like a military cut and I definitely don't want that. Basically stay away they don't hold up to their value!! Their stylist don't really have the experience that they say they do. read more

Poor customer service communication online. No Supervisors to speak to either. Told to wait 24-48 hours for a response but they never did. Now items ordered are sold out and cannot be shipped to me. Update: Days after posting this management finally attempted to reach out and remedy the situation. They mentioned that they would processed a compensation between 24 and 48 hours. I patiently waited and again nothing. Management is not properly trained nor keeps their word. Do not shop here for Christmas! read more

I just had the craziest experience here. I placed a pick up order last night. I parked for curbside pick up. My order was brought out to me. Bag looked a little roughed up but no biggie. I checked to make sure my stuff was there. Everything looked tossed. Boxes/packages bent and a little beat up but not a big deal as long as my products are fine. The setting spray had a broken cap and spray nozzle. I went in to exchange it. The girl, Maggie grabbed a display can said it's never been used and asked if I wanted that one. Y'all, the can was beat up and scratched and didn't include a cap. I said no thanks, I'd like one with a cap and not used. She asked if I would like her to check the back. Well obviously if you believe there are more back there. This girl really tried to pull one over on me. She comes back with the same display can and a cap that I think she might have taken off of some other random product as the cap didn't fit. She handed it over and walks off. Immediately I knew what she did and I returned the product. Some people don't care about the cap but I do. Nice try though but if you don't have more just say that. Don't try to give customers used products and pretend that they're new. No more curbside pick ups for me. read more

I loved this store! The employees are always kind to me, and I would always buy products. Ever since I heard it was opening here at the NorthWest, I felt excited because it was close to home. I went to the salon there over a month ago, and I was nervous because, based on the reviews I read, I was afraid they would cancel my appointment too. I arrived 15 minutes early, and I was delighted that they didn't cancel my appointment. Worst in store shopping experience that I've experienced. I hope that security gets paid overtime to run laps and cut customers off in the middle of walking lol The staff just seems all around unhappy. Luckily I only come here to take advantage of my coupons so I kind of expect to be disappointed with the service. read more

The customer service is so bad. Almost makes you feel like you're bothering them while shopping there. Not welcoming at all, not friendly, not even a smile.
