Amazing service today for my wife's breast Augmentation procedure! We walked in at her assigned…read moretime and were warmly greeted by the front desk staff. After signing a few papers, her RN Tia came out and took us back to a room. Tia was amazing and super nice!! She got everything going and kept us informed on what was next and approximate wait times. Her quality of care for my wife was 10/10!! Once they took her back for the surgery I received a phone call from Dr. Vande Ven approximately 55 minutes later and she said everything went great. 30 minutes later I received another phone call from Tia who took me back to see my wife. Tia assisted me in placing her in a wheelchair and gave me home care instructions prior to leaving. Today's experience was great and all staff were great. I would definitely recommend Dr. Vande Ven and Beautology Surgery Center.

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Heather Vande Ven during my breast augmentation…read moreconsultation. From the start, she was not personable or welcoming. As a first-time patient, I came in with a lot of questions, which I think is completely reasonable when considering a major procedure. Instead of making me feel comfortable or informed, she seemed visibly annoyed and impatient. I even expressed that I valued her professional opinion and wanted guidance, but that didn't seem to matter. What was most unprofessional was how the consultation ended. After spending the entire appointment discussing options as if we were moving forward, she left the room, and a patient coordinator came back to tell me that the doctor would not be taking me on as a patient because she didn't feel I was a "good fit" or that she could meet my expectations. I was completely blindsided. If that was truly her decision, it should have been communicated directly and respectfully by the doctor, not passed off to a coordinator after the fact. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, they then suggested I see another doctor by simply taking photos and having him call me, rather than offering a proper consultation. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing with the practice. Overall, the experience left a very bad impression. I came in excited and hopeful, and left feeling discouraged and disrespected. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

Fast forward a couple of years and I discover I have a collection from this outfit. When I try to contact billing, I get the stifle. Put on hold. No contact number. I had only come here because they were running specials on certain things i was interested in, but again the "savings" all dried up with the 20% tip. Not cool. About a year ago, when I first came to Allure, I was surprised that they expected you to "tip" them. At that time you could still choose the amount of tip on your receipt and the staff would kind of politely guilt you into to giving a tip of your choice. I know it's the doctor/owner's "fault" for this tipping practice. I would say shame on the doctor/owner for forcing the already struggling consumers to help pay for your staff's salaries and your profits. You should be glad people even come to this establishment, WE the consumers are doing YOU a favor and not the other way around. This low class tipping thing in general has gotten way out of hand now days and now surprisingly at Allure Medical Spa! BTW, no other medical spas that I have also frequented here in Bakersfield, force you to tip them at all and they're all pretty good too. I definitely won't be coming back here.

I received my order quickly and even found a couple new items. I'm obsessed with this Rare Beauty perfume. It's amazing! You purchase the different layering balms and it changes the scent. It seems like the nicer employees are usually the newer ones. When doing online order with in-store pickup, they leave you waiting for awhile before anyone thinks to attend to you. Same thing if you're the only person in line, no one will come to help you until many minutes have passed and the line begins to grow. The reason I continue to visit this location is simply out of convenience, and that there are some employees who are still courteous and attentive. Initially, when this store first opened, all the employees were kind and helpful. I think they wanted to do something different than the Valley Plaza location, which had many bad reviews of snobby employees at the time. But the longer the store remains open, the more that this rudeness appears as a typical trademark of the Sephora brand. Surprisingly, the VP location has the nicest employees now.

I met with Margarita, the patient relations coordinator, to go over my treatment plan. When I asked…read moreabout the cost of anesthesia, she told me she couldn't provide that information without rewriting the entire plan. At that point, I had already been there for over 90 minutes and couldn't stay any longer, so I asked her to find out the cost and call me with the information. She never did. My dentist's office manager followed up with their office on my behalf, but no one could give a clear answer. Margarita was again asked to contact me. I called once more myself and was told she was with a patient. Despite multiple follow-ups, I've never received a response from her. The lack of communication and follow-through has been very disappointing and unprofessional.

At the first visit I wasn't happy with the front desk girl. I was told that I would have to pay for dental X-rays again since the dental office did not provide sufficient pictures. I wasn't explained why and she just continued to tell me the price. I was a little bit in shock as the dentist office did take pictures. I contacted my dental office and they continued to explain that the X-ray taken was sufficient, but his office requires a full picture including the back of my son's mouth and they don't have the capability to take those pictures. Since he's a specialist (Dr. Esla) he would have the machines to take the proper pictures required to move forward with the extractions. The office is right by MSW. It's nicely decorated inside and it's a lot different than other Doctor's offices I've been to. The walls are painted black and it actually looks nice. Patient rooms are pretty big and the office is on the 2nd floor. All the staff we encountered was super friendly and everyone made my son feel comfortable. Prices were affordable and they offer payment arrangements if you need it. My son said his wisdom teeth extractions weren't painful because he didn't remember it. The process didn't take long at all. I came in at 8 and left about 9:30ish. This office is quiet, they look like they know their regulars. A few patients came in after us and the girls knew them by name so that seemed nice. I called them later after my son's appointment because I forgot to get a note for school and while I was on hold I learned a lot of new things about the doctor. He does a lot of other services to make Bakersfield's people beautiful. I thought that was neat. I would definitely recommend family and friends here. The office doesn't take long at all. They do not overbook and they treat the patients nice. The staff also seem happy which is nice to see. When the staff is happy, the patients seem to be happy too.
