Wow...I was truly impressed. The traditional margarita was sooo good and not sickly sweet like most of the establishments. I ordered the skirt steak and it was cooked just like I ordered and came with a delicious chimichurri sauce. I feel bad about leaving this poor review for one of the only places to eat in the area, but... I came to the Grille with a friend and got chicken strips and fries. The chicken was burnt to a crisp, it was hard to bite into, the chicken was dry af, and everything was bland and tasteless. This was 2 years ago roughly, I haven't returned. The place is usually packed (I don't know how) and the service was good (some staff were grumpy it seemed), but over all I was pretty frustrated with my experience, and chose not to return. Two times previous were decent experiences, I was glad to have had them, but for the cost and hassle plus the grumpy staff members (few and far between), I feel like it's not worth it to bother making a reason to return. Perfect restaurant. All 4 of us got something different and after the silence of enjoying the food, we couldn't stop raving about our meals!! I've been in the area for a few years from CA and this place had the BEST Seared Ahi Tuna since I've been in the MidWest. My fiancé got the ribeye (med-rare) and WOW!! I would've been jealous of my Ahi Tuna wasn't already a masterpiece. All of the employees are essentially at your beck and call, and I don't think we waited more than 4 minutes for our drinks each time. You definitely need to check this place out!! I do want to note that for a couple with a meal and 2 drinks, it was about $80 without tip so be aware it's a little spendy! But definitely worth it!! You walk in and feel comfortable immediately the service was impeccable without being bothersome they're very professional staff. This was my wife and I's first time to this restaurant the presentation of the food fantastic I would say better than homecoming with very generous portions. We tried four different cocktails. Came to Canton to visit family and ate here several times for Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner. Staff were amazing! They were friendly, attentive and helpful and the food was fresh and delicious. For brunch we had Eggs Benedict and Veggie Omelet. The eggs were poached perfectly and the omelet was filled with tons of veggies. For lunch we had the Grille Burger and chicken strips, BEST burger and fries you'll ever taste. For dinner there was always specials added to the regular menu so you never felt like you were limited in your selections and the desserts were all homemade in the restaurant and were fabulous. After reading the reviews, we decided to give the Sioux Valley Grille a try. We were not disappointed. We had the Spinach Artichoke Dip, which was wonderful, and chose to share an entré, the Steak Grille plate. There was a charge of $6 for splitting an order, which seems a bit much, but the food we were served was outstanding. The flatiron steak was so tasty! Add 2 glasses of wine and the total came to about $45, so a little pricier than I expected, but with great service, we couldn't complain! I'd eat there again, for sure! read more

I have visited the Sioux Falls /Canton area a few times but have to say that Sioux Valley Grille is by far my favorite place to eat. Not only does everything taste extremely fresh, but also served beautifully. The menu has a wide variety, ranging from Thai inspired steak salad to an awesome country fried steak. Great price! The Sioux Valley Grille was such a pleasant change from the usual fast food and diners typical in a rural area. The food was genuinely fresh and absolutely delicious. Their menu was mostly New American food, but they also had an Asian and Mexican entree in case you were craving something different. I'm a vegetarian and they were able to make something suitable for my diet. The waitress was attentive and friendly, even offering their gluten free menu in case anyone needed it. I was really happy that they didn't immediately give me a hard time when I brought up my dietary needs. (I'm used to getting a dirty look at restaurants whenever I mention I'm vegetarian).They were very attentive with ensuring our drinks were never empty and basically making sure we felt taken care of. Additionally, the restaurant had such a charming and modern rustic feel to it that was not outdated - not at all what you'd expect out in the middle of nowhere! I can't wait for them to offer a Sunday brunch! I will definitely be back! read more
