It was catching inside my nose and causing pain. Although my piercing was originally done at another shop, I wanted to support a business closer to home. I had also been to Mystic before and had a great experience with the female piercer. I called ahead to make sure someone would look at it. When I arrived, the piercer, Mike, asked what was going on. After I explained, he rudely responded, "What do you want me to do about it?" I asked whether he could look at the hoop and fix it. He seemed defensive and pointed out that he "didn't do it," even though I had never suggested he was responsible. When he called me into the room, I went to sit on the table, and he began telling me that I was mad at him and that he didn't have to serve me. At that point, I got up and left. He continued making comments as I walked out. After leaving, I went to Artistic Skin Designs, where Andrew fixed the hoop within five minutes and was as nice as could be. I appreciated his kindness and willingness to help. I came to Mystic looking for help with a painful piercing and was prepared to pay for the service. Instead, I felt dismissed and treated disrespectfully. Based on this experience, I won't be returning.

AND the…read moretattoo he did on me is still one of my favorites and STILL has some of the brightest colors that anyone has ever put on me. Nate built my tattoo so it would age well and last for years to come. I had some ideas and he coached me in the right direction of what would work and what wouldn't, as well as what he thought would work well for balance and composition. 111 is a testament to nate's absolute LOVE and pride in tattooing. He has massive collections of antique tattoo memorabilia and plenty of hand painted flash for you to get ideas from -- which is what you SHOULD do rather than stealing others' ideas from Pinterest or Instagram. I highly suggest everyone check this place out and get tattooed here. It makes me wish I went to ball state all over again so I could get more tattoos from Nate. He also offers a vegan and gluten free tattoo set up. Enjoy!!!

My friend and I also talked about wanting color in it and he told us that we didn't want that, that it would look better black. We restated we wanted color. We walked out with black. If you want a fast food, drive through sort of experience, go for it. I prefer my tats to be thoroughly planned out and discussed with the artist. He wasn't having it. I'm going to have it retouched with some color elsewhere.
