I had a pretty detailed and complicated vision, and she was able to produce a custom piece that was beyond my expectations. The studio is cozy and clean and close to all the best parts of Broad Ripple (so I could treat myself to a new plant at Snakeroot and a beer or three at the Alley Cat after my appointments). When the day of my appointment came, I'm not gonna lie--I was nervous. I'd chosen to go all-in with a large first piece, and I was unsure how I'd react to the new environment (though I was also really excited because of how awesome the artwork was). Cass was great at explaining the process and made me immediately feel comfortable and welcomed. She continued to be communicative and gentle throughout the process, and we took breaks as needed. (It didn't hurt nearly as much as I'd always imagined it would; though I also chose a less painful area to start with, fwiw.) All this so far would have gotten a 5-star review from me. Had that been my entire experience, I still would have been completely satisfied. However, I was also lucky enough to be there on a day when two other artists--Johnny and Micah--were in, and both of them were awesome enough to chat with me about all kinds of random things we all had in common, and it totally made the experience above and beyond. Like, these people sort of feel a wee little bit like family now, and I can't wait until I get to go back and see them and have a needle jabbed into me for many, many more hours. Anyway when you walk in it's a real professional place , clean with helpful staff and a comfortable waiting area . Then I met brook she's a doll. Obviously I've had my nose pierced before and it was fine but Brook is very well informed and shares that information. Her sterilization procedures are very through . VERY. She was training so obviously she's well credentialed . I bleed like a stick pig , lol@me, but she handled it well and I didn't have a bit of swelling or ooze or anything . In a half hour it felt like an old piercing no pain no anything . If I want a hole anywhere else on my body I wouldn't go to anyone else .

The place seemed to be under renovation of some kind, there were signs to that effect, but everything was clean nonetheless. The artist took care with sanitation and had a great attitude. I went to Needle Prixx to see about getting my earlobes re pierced. The artist took one look and said "I may not have to pierce these at all. They might just open back up. If so I'm not charging you." That's exactly what happened! All he charged me for was the jewelry! The whole experience has me considering that tattoo I've been thinking about for years... If I take the plunge, it will be at Needle Prixx!
