I got my tattoo done by Morgan, and it was amazing. I love the tattoo so much, and she is so nice. The entire process up to getting the tattoo was easy for me, and Morgan was super kind. The shop was so cool inside; it had a goth vibe, but I prefer a darker area, so it worked out. I came late to my appointment due to traffic but was still able to be seen, and they were very understanding. I liked how the shop was empty when I got my tattoo, so no one could watch me struggling. She offered to finish it another day if it hurt too much, but I pushed through it. This was my first tattoo, and Morgan helped a lot. She dry + wet wiped, answered all my questions and concerns without judgment, which made me feel comfortable overall. The tattoo has healed well and has maintained its darkness. read more

I had an appointment with Terry to get a tattoo I had previously emailed her with confirmation she'd tattoo it. When I sat down with her for the consultation day of, she said she wanted to change the tattoo so it would be her own because of copyright? I told her I wouldn't have booked and put a deposit down if she was just going to say she wouldn't do the piece I presented because I had looked for months for this exact tattoo of a bumblebee and didn't want to change anything about it. I should have trusted my gut and just walked out then because the rest of the experience wasn't pleasant but having already put a deposit down I stayed. Her vibe was completely off and she just gave off horrible energy. Her line work is good but I haven't recommended anyone to the shop just because of the experience with her which is really unfortunate because the owners were putting a lot of work into the space! read more

I have gotten a few tattoos done by Terry, and while she is a talented artist, I wish I had not chosen her to do my tattoos. During the whole experience she was condescending and rude and did not attempt to make it a pleasant experience in the slightest. I have referred two of my friends to her since they like her style, but that backfired when they also had terrible experiences. I also witnessed the tattoo artists and people at the front desk talking badly about clients after getting off the phone with them for no reason! It's a clean establishment with talented tattoo artists, but I promise if you choose Terry you will have to deal with her nasty attitude. read more

It's been a year since I've had my tattoo with Terry and I still have moments that I regret having gone through with it with her. She was in such a bad mood while we were discussing the design and placement of the tattoo. It was super awkward and I'm not sure why she was so hostile about it. I should've walked out since it just didn't feel right. This tattoo was super important to me and had a big meaning. The tattoo itself came out pretty well. She's not a bad tattoo artist, the interaction and energy behind it is just want I wish I could erase. I will likely seek out someone else to alter the tattoo so I'm not left with such a bad taste in my mouth. read more

One month after reaching out to reschedule, Eden finally emailed me back. They admitted it was only because they got an email notification about this Yelp review. I sympathize that Eden had COVID, but the scheduling process shouldn't be so reliant on one person that my appointment, scheduled four months in advance, was totally missed and no one reached out or responded to my attempt to reschedule. Unprofessional and uncourteous establishment. I made an appointment for a phone consult for October 11 in April. The time for that consult came and went so I called the shop. I was told that Mitch was out of the country and unable to do my consult that date, they would let him know I called when he was back. I called a week later and was told that they were busy and backed up, but they would let me know when my consult could be rescheduled. I called again today and was told again they were extremely busy. Its frustrating to be excited about a tattoo and an artist when an appointment is made in April for October and then not have my time or value as a customer be considered. There are plenty of other shops in Richmond that are just as good that treat clients as valued people to go to instead. I would not recommend this shop or Mitch. read more

Terry was GREAT! I have now had two tattoos done by her, and plan to go back to have her finish my sleeve! She put my desires first, and worked with me to get the perfect result. I felt very comfortable during the tattoo, and they even put my favorite show on the big screen since I was there for a couple hours haha. Part of the pain of a piercing is the awkward environment of having a stranger be so up close and personal to you. But this was by far the best piercing experience I've ever had in my life. Salem was so so nice and we had an actual conversation, they didn't just pierce me and kick me out. They let me check their markings before the piercing multiple times and we discussed placement and they let me ask questions. They told me what they were doing for every part of the entire process. She used an autoclave for the jewelry and iodine to clean my skin, and then used a test strip to verify that all of the jewelry was sterile. The jewelry I have is titanium and isn't threaded, it snaps in, so the balls won't get loose and fall off and the threading cannot get dirty. She made me totally comfortable and verified that she had my consent multiple times before piercing me. I cannot emphasize enough how comfortable of an experience I had, and I can't wait to come back and get more piercings done by her!!! read more
