Great Vineyard, Frustrating Food Experience This was our first visit to Singing Waters Vineyard, and the property itself is absolutely darling. The setting is beautiful, the staff at the vineyard were friendly and welcoming, and the wine was tasty. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and time with friends. However, the food truck experience was a big letdown and honestly the main reason we're hesitant to return. I paid $12 for a hot dog combo (pictured)--just a single hot dog and a small bag of chips. That price felt excessive for what we received. The kids' burger was $8 and was tiny...about the size of a quarter dollar with melted cheese and chips. The value just wasn't there. What made things worse was the service. Our friends ordered the exact same food right before us and received theirs much earlier. We waited about 40 minutes longer for the same order. It was frustrating, and it did make us wonder if my earlier comment about the hot dog price being extreme played a role. The kids were all still hungry. The vineyard itself is lovely and worth visiting, but I strongly recommend reconsidering the food truck setup...either pricing, portions, or vendor choice. The food experience didn't match the quality of the venue, and it definitely affected our overall impression. read more

The last time I visited this vineyard was over 10 years ago. Since then, they have changed owners and have made a lot of changes to the property. The changes are good. They have a lot of outside seating and covered areas. I like that you can order your food and your drinks in the outside bar area, but if you want to stay cool, you could also go into the tasting room. I was brought back due to an event where I tasted their wines. I fell in love either cabarnet the red table wine. This time, I ended up getting a rosé since it was super hot outside, and I needed to keep cool. The rosé was great. it was dry enough. They also have food. We ordered the fig and Brie panini and pepperoni mushroom flatbread. Both were so good. We shared them and it was the perfect lunch. Yes, I ended up joining their Wine member hip. I figured they're not too far away and they have events through out the summer and fall. Also, when you go, you get two glasses of free wine if you are a member. The best part about this membership is that you get to choose which wines you want. This vineyard is dog friendly. I especially enjoy that they have an area for 21 and over. It is a great area too. It is shaded under trees facing the river. They have some farm animals towards the parking lot. Parking is available on site and some of it is shaded. Everyone we encountered was extremely nice. Some friends and I went here using our Wine Tasting Passport and we were so glad to have given it a try because none of us had been there before. The grounds are so pretty and peaceful, we weren't even doing much but we didn't want to leave! They also have an assortment of snacks you can buy as well as a menu for food so we loaded up on cheeses... as one does. Nice place to get together and hide from the sun. After dropping my son off at camp for the week, we met up with a few of the other parents at Singing Water. I love the wine. The staff is great, and they are super helpful and knowledgeable about their wines. I enjoyed the viognier (white) on a very warm Sunday. My family enjoyed the sangria and swirl slushies. I later enjoyed a glass of Texas Freedom (red). They have multiple decks . Unfortunately, due to the heat the creek is a bit dry, but the shade under the live oaks was very much functional and you could sit, sip, and enjoy the breeze. Live music was played and entertained some guests up front and us from afar. It was loud enough to hear and enjoy wherever you were sitting. It is kid friendly, but... There's some animals to feed, with food for a buck. There's a fountain that kind of can serve as a splash pad. And they have plenty of room in the open hot sun to burn calories, but it's a winery. What I would recommend is that they use what they have and make it more kid friendly, rather than settle for what they are doing. I recommend some more field games or under the shed table games for kids. They could easily make a kids charcuterie board. 'Em wanted some fruit or cheese, but I wasn't going to spend $29 for a board I wasn't going to eat. It already comes with grapes, crackers, and kid friendly cheese, why not? We loved visiting this picturesque vineyard on a sunny summer afternoon. The tasting room was a chilly delight as we walked in from the summer heat. Mia served us tastes of five wines. She was so knowledgeable about the wines, which were all great, so we joined their wine club. Can't wait to go back in September to pick up our next set of bottles! The grounds are gorgeous and although it was nearly 100 degrees, there were lots of shady, breezy areas to relax. Strategically placed fans made it possible to enjoy being outside for a lovely snack of hummus, flatbread, and crisp veggies to accompany our wine. And the live music was fun, too. I loved saying hi to the goats, watching children play in the grass, seeing dogs having fun with their people, and looking at the growing vines. This place is a hill country gem. read more

My sweet husband reserved a tasting for us on a weekend stay. The place was quaint, relaxing and very scenic. They had the sweetest Great Pyrenees greet us at the entrance. We were greeted with a smile and good explanation of what was to come. She made a recommendation to only have the charcuterie so our pallets could really taste the wine. It was perfect! Our sommelier explained everything to us and provided great feedback on what we would be trying. It was so relaxing (for the most part, a couple with a few kids showed up and their kids started running around behind us ‍) but we understand parents need a break too! They have more of a dry selection of wine, which my friend loved! myself. I like more of the sweet red, but they did not have, but I did find their peach Sangria slush was amazing. Wonderful place in the hill country! The weather was perfect to spend the afternoon listening to music and enjoying the vineyard. The food was fresh; I had the salad and my SO had the avocado flatbread. We also got the swirled slush drink with a wine topper - perfect! No complaints! Been branching out from the 290 wine trail wineries and came across Singing Water while planning a quick day trip to Comfort, TX. I absolutely LOVED this winery. Reservations are highly recommended for wine tastings (don't be surprised when they're working you in and during the week and it doesn't seem that busy). I liked all of the wines I tasted from the reds tasting. Reville and Freedom bottles they donate 10% to the military/veterans! The lady was very friendly who did my tasting for me. I then grabbed a bottle of the reville and enjoyed an amazing view of Bruins Creek under the shade of a live oak tree. It doesn't feel much more Texan than that. They also have vines you pass on the way in, as well as a pasture with goats, a donkey, and a llama. They have food on site, mini charcuteries and flatbreads as far as I know. They also do live music certain days, so check into that also! read more

I am sad she wasn't here when we visited. We arrived early and the staff was wonderful! It was super cold, so Jaisy had Damian set up multiple heaters. Jaisy took great care of us. She was informative and able to deal with all of us. The highlight was a baby goat visiting our group. We have been wine tasting extensively and we enjoyed all of our wines. They aren't doing official tastings but have temporarily (not sure for how much longer) lowered their "wine by the glass" prices : $4 whites $6 Reds. So can't beat the prices! The shrimp and Alfredo flat bread was amazing ...worth the $18! The chicken salad sandwich was a little on the pricey side but still delicious! I had their Sauv Blanc and a Red that I believe was called Freedom? Liberty? Something like that. What I loved most that set this vineyard aside : KID FRIENDLY and to get there is a gorgeous drive into the hill country. They gave my daughter Goat Feed to feed the goats, llama and donkey. For this winery You only get 2 tiny sips of wine per bottle. for some advice I would make sure that guests can get at least 3-4 sips... at least. They have goats and a lama that you can feed which is always a hit with my Teo year old along with a fountain they can play in and a large field to run around in. This place was recommended by our Vrbo house less than 5 min away from our place and it was gorgeous! The wine was perfect and we did the sushi night (Friday and Saturdays, apparently only in May and October if I remember correctly) but they also offer steak options I believe all the other times. The sushi was fresh and so delicious, we ate so much. We spoke with the owner, along with the chef and girl behind the bar. Everyone was nice, friendly and welcoming when we asked for anything and even pairing suggestions. On a hot day I recommend the wine slush. It was a great anniversary dinner. You pay in advance for the reservation but the wine you can purchase as you go. I left with 2 bottles. The grounds are beautiful, and looks like they are adding on, but they had live music, a huge green space for kids to run amok, water fountain and indoor or outdoor seating options. After dinner we walked and watched the goats in the field next door play for a bit before we left. It's not pretentious so can dress up or down, a great place to relax and enjoy good company and good wine. I wish they had been open mon-wed as we would have gone back, but we're only in town sat-wed. 10/10 would highly recommend for ambiance, friendly people and staff and a no pressure to purchase, relaxing time. read more
