Lost Oak has a cool vibe with modern eclectic decor with some tables and chairs, large bar seating and small grouping areas with couches and chairs. They have a large outdoor area where people sat and had cigars with their wine or had their dogs. We went on a Thursday evening where they had live music that fit the vibe (single guitar guy singing low key 70/80 music). We opted for a bottle (basically you end up getting a free glass buying three bottle vs a glass) of a Sangiovese that was very good-- smooth with all the traditional favors. What you don't drink you can carry out. They also offer charcuterie boards which serving 1-3 people was $20. The boards may change but our serving was packed full on the board to the point we took the remaining home. The reason for 4 stars was the initial experience with our server. He was short to explain the menu stating "this price is membership, bottle and glass". He never told us what the membership was nor discussed what wine we liked to help us pick what we wanted, then he was off. When he came back we asked about the membership and more about the menu and he was more relaxed and gave more info which made for a better experience. We would recommend to others & return when we are back in Boerne.

Cute place, very roomy, not bad of wine selection. Good service just needs to get more snacks options.

The wines we order were wonderful and we also got a charcuterie board for two which was pretty generous compared to other places.

I visited this highly rated wine tasting room when I was visiting Boerne for the weekend. I was…read morethe first to arrive around 130pm, but about 4 other couples walked in not 10 mins after me. It was a fairly hot day for the end of winter, so I chose to sit inside. They have a handful of high top tables and about 17 different wines on the tasting menu. The prices for the bottles range from $24 - $165. One interesting note, the grapes are currently grown in Lubbock due to the water shortage in this area, but they have some vines that are being replanted on this property so maybe in a few years they will be ready. They do have some snacks to try/purchase in the cold case, and more dry snacks that aren't refrigerated on the other side of the room. Since we hadn't eaten lunch yet, we grabbed a meat and cheese from the refrigerated case for $10 Restrooms are in a side building adjacent to the tasting room building. I tried the El Jardin, Albarino, Cinsaut, Sangiovese, Mourvedre, and Cabernet Franc. We also sampled a 1/2 pour of the Nectar du Terroir which is a fortified dessert wine instilled with brandy. I liked it but just be warned that it is strong at 17%. El Jardin - light white wine easy to drink; would go well with seafood Cinsaut - sort of like a pinot noir but slightly bitter Sangiovese - fruity similar to cinsaut but not as bitter Mourvedre - tasted similar to cinsaut but slightly better Cabernet franc - the best of the bunch, pretty smooth Overall, we enjoyed our experience here but are not huge wine drinkers and didn't really find one we were in love with. We didn't end up taking home any bottles but will always enjoy the memories. One note, their wine is reportedly not sold at liquor stores, but it is sent to select wine bars throughout Texas, so you may find it in your town; otherwise, the only other ways to get it is through their website, or by visiting the tasting room just outside of Boerne. They do not have a tasting room in Lubbock where the grapes are grown.

Cork & Keg is one of those rare gems that somehow marries the warmth of the hill country with what is often snobbery among wine-os. It manages to be welcoming to the newly initiated (i.e. just 21) and the more seasoned patrons, providing something for everyone with a selection that boasts excellent vintages from both near and far. If you're lucky enough to sit at the bar you may find yourself with one of the regulars open for good chat over a glass of their favorite on the list, or inspired to try something new. Don't be afraid to ask the staff their recommendations, as they are both knowledgeable and friendly, making the wine list as approachable as they are. Don't be afraid to go for your own custom flight as there are too many good wines to miss out on. The best part is, if you're not a wine fan, they have other offerings including beer, sake, and mimosas! It's my favorite stop when I'm in town and I've added new favorites to the list as well as snagged bottles to take back out of state for others to enjoy.

I have tried many of them and have been very satisfied. Don't waste your precious time and money at Richter Cork and Keg!! Went by for dinner the other night and had a tremendously horrible dining experience! Our server was very rude to a Lady in our party. "Needs serious training" would be an understatement! This guy had memory problems like forgetting what we had asked just minutes before. The arrogance was something a child would display perhaps. The Value of the food was ridiculously LOW... We had difficulty simply chewing the grilled Mahi-Mahi. Besides the overcooked food and tiny portions we also got food poisoning as a result of the terrible mistake to go to this place. The server and the restaurant rate about 1.5 out of 10. This may sound harsh to some; but at an average of $85 per person to waste time, money and threat of health to simply go out for a nice dinner, is an easy call to make when eating out in Boerne! If you go to places for Ambiance alone it's 6 out of 10...that's as much praise as is deserved.

Bending Branch produces some top-notch wines and Bourbon! The winery is beautiful with multiple rooms, from high tops to comfy chairs. There is also a large patio that has some shade. They have a great family story (check out their website) and a unique way to produce bold wines. Being Kentucky natives, their bourbons are full-bodied and range from great for an old-fashioned to smooth as silk, straight up delicious. We enjoyed our red flight tasting, and yes, their Tannat is superb. Both their 2022 and 2021 Estate were complex, not overly fruity and rich. Their Tempranillo is beautifully balanced with some cherry notes and a fine leathery finish. I did sample their high-rye bourbon and was impressed with its smoothness. So impressed that a bottle now sits in my bourbon cabinet at home. This bourbon is easily sipped straight up or with a single ice cube. Bonus: If you do visit Bending Branch, take a short drive to downtown Comfort. There are some cool stores, and you have to check out the historic Giles Hotel. You can access their beautiful courtyard, and we were told by multiple folks that their breakfast is awesome. We are planning a return trip to check out the other wineries in the area and stay here.

Great Vineyard, Frustrating Food Experience…read more This was our first visit to Singing Waters Vineyard, and the property itself is absolutely darling. The setting is beautiful, the staff at the vineyard were friendly and welcoming, and the wine was tasty. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and time with friends. However, the food truck experience was a big letdown and honestly the main reason we're hesitant to return. I paid $12 for a hot dog combo (pictured)--just a single hot dog and a small bag of chips. That price felt excessive for what we received. The kids' burger was $8 and was tiny...about the size of a quarter dollar with melted cheese and chips. The value just wasn't there. What made things worse was the service. Our friends ordered the exact same food right before us and received theirs much earlier. We waited about 40 minutes longer for the same order. It was frustrating, and it did make us wonder if my earlier comment about the hot dog price being extreme played a role. The kids were all still hungry. The vineyard itself is lovely and worth visiting, but I strongly recommend reconsidering the food truck setup...either pricing, portions, or vendor choice. The food experience didn't match the quality of the venue, and it definitely affected our overall impression.
