We have had a great experience so far. Swim classes are run very well, our girls enjoy them and are progressing. We had previously be been part of another swim school and did not have a great experience and the instructors didn't know our children well which disabled their progress. Here, the girls have a relationship with their teachers and we see how well they do each class. Dave/Suzana in the office are terrific also when it comes to all swim related questions. Front desk staff as you enter are very friendly--have always answered my questions well, we very much appreciate having a face there on weekends. The youth theater is terrific and it's so nice having their shows to see with young children in the area. Highly recommend! This summer, we are looking to join their camp for the first time and are very excited to give it a try! We're heard great things.

Since the status of the location was unclear when I was leaving, I had given written notice of cancellation in September of 2025. Upon return I saw the monthly charge posted to my credit card October, 2025. (I was out of town from October 2-November 6) Rather than seeking a refund I thought the membership team would honor that payment and allow me to use the Wyckoff Y facility for the next 3 weeks. (I wanted to see if I enjoyed the gym and the people running the facility). I thought I would eventually continue my gym membership in the Wyckoff location. The attitude of Mary in the membership department was less than pleasant and challenged my written cancellation. She said she would try and find the document. subsequently she had the front desk girl call me and state they would not honor my request.

I then asked to please be taken off the mailing list as I am no Longer interested . I then received a very nasty toned email back from them . There are too many other choices in the area , I don't see them lasting with that nasty customer service

I recently took a class here and was deeply shaken by what happened afterward. From my personal…read moreexperience, I learned that my Pilates instructor was wrongfully terminated following an incident with another member named Ed Pacelli. During a class, Ed made an extremely inappropriate, racially charged "joke" about hanging African American people directed toward our African American instructor. His own wife tried to stop him, left the room embarrassed, and he still went ahead with it. What disturbed me even more was how the situation was handled. Instead of supporting the instructor who simply asked for him to be removed from her class because of how unsafe and uncomfortable the comment made her feel management chose to side with Ed, reportedly because he's been a member for six years. From my point of view, that choice spoke volumes. As a minority woman, I cannot support a place where staff and clients of color can be exposed to racist comments and then left unprotected. In today's political climate, where safety and respect should be the bare minimum, it's heartbreaking to see an establishment so willing to turn a blind eye. I refuse to spend my time or money somewhere that tolerates behavior like this.

I went here by chance after an add popped up on my social media account. I was contacted via phone…read morewith follow up text. Scheduling was easy. I arrived there with a nice welcome on their sign on the front desk. Great way to make me feel welcomed. My class as a one on one with Sam. She is a very nice, dedicated trainer that knows how to work your muscles. I was given a diverse introduction to Pilates on the reformer. Onto to their Covid protocol. When you enter the practice, you are greeted by a very friendly person at the desk that takes your temperature. Everyone in the entry vestibule wears a mask. The private room in the basement doesn't require you to wear a mask, but your trainer will keep his/hers on. In the group rooms, you will see plastic "shower curtain" dividers between each reformer. There is a UV room cleaner that goes on after the class and I was told there is a 30 minute delay between classes to clean the reformers. So if you're interested in reformer Pilates, this place is a good place to check out.

As soon as I walked through the doors everyone was accommodating and kind. Izzy and Erica placed us in class and hooked me up with a HR monitor since I did not have mine on me for the 12 minute benchmark. Bless them for that because, let me tell you guys, it makes a HUGE difference! The lobby has a great layout, bathrooms and showers in the back and lockers to put your belongings. You can tell the community in the studio is tight knitted which was nice to see. Many people knew each other and welcomed one another to their hour of fun together. Now for the workout bit: We had Coach Viktor! Great guy and coach. He excited all of us with some history behind the endurance challenge we were about to conquer and welcomed every single member with a fist bump as they walked in. I was fired up! I started on the treads and got my benchmark over with. For those reading this who are unfamiliar with the 12 minute benchmark, it is a tread for distance to see how far you can travel in 12 minutes. The soundtrack Vik played was perfect and kept me motivated during my benchmark (and the rest of the workout when I felt fatigued). Coach checked in on us every quarter of the benchmark with form and motivational ques. You can tell he is super knowledgeable and speaks from experience! Rest of the class was a blast with my bestie and her mom. All equipment in the studio was clean and presentable. There were several weight selections available which helped me gradually increase the weight in my sets. What a great workout. Post workout: Had a nice cool down and took a fun boomerang with Coach Vik and my friend. The vibes were high. I 10/10 recommend this studio! One of the highlights of my trip was coming here. Definitely drop into Viktors class if you get a chance. I had the pleasure of meeting Coach TJ as well and he's next on my list!!!

So I was traveling in January and I heard a lot about this place online…read more A friend of mine invited me to join him and I met up with Joe, one of the trainers there. This place is AMAZING! The environment is great for newbies, and for folks like me that have not worked out in a while. Let's just say, the best tip I got going into it was this: "Pace yourself." So the workout was a circuit, and it was a full body workout. 3 sets, with 3-4 workout per set done as a circuit. Some new folks kill themselves by using too much weight on the first set and cannot keep up at the end. By the 2nd set I was starting to slow down: I was not conditioned at all but at least I paced myself. But Joe was extremely encouraging and helped with fixing my form for the different workouts I wasn't used to. The facility is tucked in the business complex so you have to drive deep into it. The place is clean, the music is awesome, the bathroom is clean, there's towels (for sweat, not for showering), and the equipment all work and in very good condition and are clean! I highly recommend this place because of the trainers who are awesome, and because the environment is very supportive. Viz. one woman was there in her 40s and she was trying her best, some of the girls cheered her on, and Joe was encouraging her and adjusting her workouts based on her fitness level. Definitely check them out since this place gives results! I don't know if they have drop-in rates to do the classes whilst traveling but just ask them! Note: They also do your measurements to see your progress!

New Ownership!!! I was so pleased to hear this news…read more The studio has been maintained a bit better and seems to have been improved by management as well.

I've been a loyal Club Pilates member for many years and have completed 448 classes. I always paid…read moreon time, never froze my membership, and supported the brand through many changes -- including the transition to Spartan Corporate ownership. That change, unfortunately, marked the beginning of a long, disappointing decline in quality and care. Spartan now owns and operates several Club Pilates studios in New Jersey, including Wyckoff, Emerson, Montvale, Oakland, Paramus Park, and Wayne. But it no longer feels like Club Pilates -- it feels like Spartan Fitness trying to wear a Club Pilates name tag. The warmth, community, and quality that originally defined the brand are gone. Before Spartan took over, the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping us grow in our practice. Classes felt thoughtful, safe, and personalized. Now, the newer instructors often act more like drill sergeants than coaches. There's a rigid, cold atmosphere. They treat the class like it's their performance instead of focusing on the actual members doing the work. I've even been scolded for adjusting movements to protect my body -- despite having herniated and slipped discs. That was something I used to be able to safely manage with Pilates, but now these classes offer me no relief or benefit. I leave feeling nothing -- no improvement, no support, no connection. Still, I stayed loyal and kept my membership, even when I wasn't getting anything out of it anymore. At one point, I truly believed in Club Pilates. I was a walking advertisement for the brand. I even created a video about how much it had helped me physically -- and that video went viral. That's how strongly I believed in the power of the practice and the community. But now, I couldn't recommend it to anyone. The current leadership under Spartan has completely shifted the tone and stripped away the integrity of what this used to be. I recently experienced a short period of financial hardship and asked for a one-time courtesy refund for a charge I couldn't cover. After years of commitment, perfect payment history, and sticking with the company even as things declined, I was told no -- with a generic, canned response and zero empathy or flexibility. What's worse is the fake concern that followed. Messages like "we're so sorry" and "we'll miss you" mean nothing when there's no action or effort to help. If Club Pilates truly cared about its members, especially the long-standing ones, it would treat them like people -- not just invoice numbers. I've since found better alternatives with better instructors and better values. I'll be sharing my experience with fellow members and in reviews, not out of anger, but because others deserve to know the full picture. If you're considering joining one of the Club Pilates locations now run by Spartan, understand that what you're signing up for is not the original Club Pilates. It's something entirely different -- and far less human.
