Dr. Climie is extremely patient, very busy, but so knowledgeable and a great listener. She's so easy to talk to as well and so good at explaining ailments and diagnosis in layman's term. I would trust my health and well-being to her, she really has your best interest at heart. It's definitely true that it can take months to get scheduled in with her, but she's worth the wait for a very thorough exam and evaluation. Her office (along with all the other doctors') is located on the second floor of this Oakwood building. There's a large waiting room with plenty of magazines to read and a TV to watch to pass the time. My doctor has been known to be late to appointments, meaning lots of time in the waiting room, then more time spent in an examine room. I really don't mind this because I know that Dr. Climie is very thorough and listens to her patients' concerns. If being on time is very important to you, request an appointment at the beginning of the day or right after her lunch hour. I've got a handful of friends who come to this particular doctor. We all agree she's great at what she does. If you need a new family practice doctor, I definitely recommend Dr. Climie.

I did some research on the internet and found Dr Farah who had received quite a few positive testimonials from patients. I had an appointment with him two days later and found him to be pleasant, congenial, patient, and informative. He tentatively diagnosed the painful problem and recommended treatment alternatives. He also recommended a shoe orthotic to relieve the pressure and I was pleasantly surprised that the cost of the two I purchased at the office was far less than I expected and well within the price range of those bought in stores such as Dick's etc. Two weeks later I needed a follow-up for issues with my other foot and the orthotic though Dr Farah was not available. Instead, I saw his associate Dr Purtuc. Well, everything I said about Dr Farah applies to this young man as well. However, I indicated to him that I had initially searched for a sports medicine podiatrist to treat my foot problem and that none were available in the Downriver area. As we discussed my concerns I discovered that Dr Purtuc is a runner and has considerable information for sports-related injuries. He made suggestions, altered my shoe laces to relieve pressure, demonstrated stretching exercises for Achilles, heel, plantar area and adjusted the orthotic. He was patient, answered all my questions and provided a feeling of confidence. Overall, I was pleased with Dr Farah and Dr Purtuc in my treatment(s) and am confident that either would be a good choice for new patients to consider. However, if a sports oriented approach is what you're looking for, then Dr Purtuc might be someone to meet your needs though, in fairness, perhaps Dr Farah might also respond to such an approach if queried. Unfortunately, my experiences with the front desk (particularly with the receptionist, Brianna) have been incredibly upsetting, and today was my breaking point. I called to verify a prescription issue, and she repeatedly interrupted me, talked over me, and argued to the point that I started crying. Even then, she showed zero empathy and continued to dismiss me. My insurance representative later called the office and told me Brianna was just as unpleasant and uncooperative with her. And the issue I had been trying to explain -- that my prescription was wrong -- ended up being completely true. Instead of helping resolve it, she talked down to me and chose to argue over a problem that genuinely needed attention. I sincerely hope the office addresses this, because patients deserve compassion and basic respect. Dr. Wilson deserves staff who reflect the same quality of care she provides.
