Stepped out of the shower and experienced unbearable pain on the ball of my foot as if stepping on…read morea rock. I did some research on the internet and found Dr Farah who had received quite a few positive testimonials from patients. I had an appointment with him two days later and found him to be pleasant, congenial, patient, and informative. He tentatively diagnosed the painful problem and recommended treatment alternatives. He also recommended a shoe orthotic to relieve the pressure and I was pleasantly surprised that the cost of the two I purchased at the office was far less than I expected and well within the price range of those bought in stores such as Dick's etc. Two weeks later I needed a follow-up for issues with my other foot and the orthotic though Dr Farah was not available. Instead, I saw his associate Dr Purtuc. Well, everything I said about Dr Farah applies to this young man as well. However, I indicated to him that I had initially searched for a sports medicine podiatrist to treat my foot problem and that none were available in the Downriver area. As we discussed my concerns I discovered that Dr Purtuc is a runner and has considerable information for sports-related injuries. He made suggestions, altered my shoe laces to relieve pressure, demonstrated stretching exercises for Achilles, heel, plantar area and adjusted the orthotic. He was patient, answered all my questions and provided a feeling of confidence. Overall, I was pleased with Dr Farah and Dr Purtuc in my treatment(s) and am confident that either would be a good choice for new patients to consider. However, if a sports oriented approach is what you're looking for, then Dr Purtuc might be someone to meet your needs though, in fairness, perhaps Dr Farah might also respond to such an approach if queried. The staff is friendly and caring and the office pleasant, clean, comfortable and modern.

I broke my 5th metatarsal and was referred to Dr. Farrah's office from a local urgent care clinic…read more I also HIGHLY recommend seeing Dr. Farah, he is very professional and has a very personal manner when speaking with him. He really looks out for your best interest, not only in his practice, but also in the hospital when surgery is needed (like for my case). I am confident in his care and I feel I am getting the best I can get! Also, his employees are great...they are friendly and treat you as family and they are knowledgeable as well. Dr. Farah accepts BCBS, so go to him if you have any special foot health needs!

I would not recommend Trenton Total Health for anything beyond very basic medical care -- things…read morelike allergies, colds, or COVID. I've tried every provider there, and unfortunately, none of them seem very knowledgeable beyond general or routine issues. One experience that stood out to me was when I went in for a gynecological concern. The female physician completely minimized my pain and didn't seem familiar with what I was describing. What made it even more disappointing was that the wall in her office had a sign saying she specializes in women's health, but that was definitely not reflected in my visit. Overall, I think they're fine for simple, everyday care, but I would not recommend them for anything more complex or specialized.

They have in-house xray, ultrasound, blood, pharmacy, ect I've mostly seen "Jerry" who I found to be all around fantastic. He, and honestly all other staff members, are very smart, understanding, and compassionate. Another large plus for me, they have NEVER tried to push opioids on me once. For me that means a great deal since I don't want any. Another huge thing for me is that the wait time for a walk in is about the same as my dentist usually. I've been seen in as little as 10-20 min multiple times, I definitely recommend this establishment

I would strongly urge anyone to avoid treatment at this clinic. I had varicose vein surgery…read morerecently and what was advertised as a 1 hour procedure took 4 months and is still not finished. The doctors here have other jobs at Oakwood Hospital and are trying to run this "business" on the side. This means that they are often late for appointments because they have other obligations. When you are in the hospital and your doctor is pulled for a medical emergency, you understand, but when you are at a private practice like this that is not acceptable. These doctors should stop being so greedy and pick a profession because they can not dedicate the time to both. They also work out of two separate locations so be sure to ask what location they are scheduling your for because they do not always make that clear. They will also schedule you for a multitude of unnecessary visits to charge your insurance company. I had 5 visits to this clinic over 4 months before I was able to get the surgery done. They say that you must have compression socks for 3 months before insurance covers this surgery. So you have an initial visit where the doctor decides that you do need treatment and prescribes your socks. Then they schedule an ultra sound. Then a follow up to review the ultra sound because the doctor is not there when you get it to go over things on the spot (10 minute discussion with the doctor, but a lot of my time wasted). Then he had me come in after the 3 months with socks just to schedule the appointment (Literally he walked in and said are you ready to have the surgery? And then said that his assistant would schedule for me). Then I came in for the surgery. Then he schedules a one week and six week follow up ultrasound. Finally I was asked to schedule another follow up to discuss the next steps. If I get a bill that the insurance company will not cover any portion of this complete waste of time, I will send the bill right back with a bill for my own time wasted. If that does not convince you, you should also know that you will get little information about the surgery and about what to expect. It is actually pretty miserable. They inject your legs with a saline solution that makes your leg swell up like a water balloon. They tell you that it is okay to go back to work the next day, but the saline solution leaks out of your legs for 2 full days, so unless you work somewhere that it is okay to look like you just had an accident in your pants, I would suggest taking time off. I also suggest bringing layers of pants for the ride home. As for the results of the surgery, it has been two months and I still see the veins although they said it can be up to six months before they are completely gone.
