I was seen quickly, which is great, as is there anything more tedious than waiting for an appointment? I found the assisting nurse to be very friendly and thoughtful. She anticipated questions I might have about the process and explained what the PA would be doing before I saw the PA which was helpful and calming for me. The PA was effective and professional. I wouldn't say she had a friendly "bedside" manner, but not everyone needs to have that affect. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable and she wasn't cold. This practice has the PA/doctor do the scan while the assisting nurse takes photos (with permission) with an iPad. The whole thing was done very quickly, but I did not feel it was rushed. I also had a mole on my earlobe removed. This was painless, over in a moment, and it healed well. Overall, I was satisfied with the care I received and scheduled my followup at the same practice.

Show up 15 minutes early, after a 45 minute drive, to be told the doctor they scheduled me with does not participate in my insurance. No, no one else can see me today....can I come back next week? So here I am, one week and another 45 minute drive later, sitting in the waiting room at 9AM when I had an 8:30AM appointment. If they're running behind at 8:30 in the morning, I can't imagine how long one waits for an afternoon appointment! I got in to see the PA at 9:05. She was very thorough, explained everything, so I'm very satisfied with the actual care given. But it is now noon, and my pharmacy still has not received my prescriptions. I called and was told it should be "by the end of the day." All in all, a pretty frustrating experience. Not sure if I'll subject myself to this again next year.

Sounds simple, but this means joint pain from psoriatic arthritis, digestive issues cos IBS, etc. It's an injection that treats a host of issues and it's Very Necessary. Medicare denied it. Unbeknownst to me my Dr got it approved May 7th. No one told me. My appt on the 3rd was missed because I was unable to get transportation. I was dressed and waiting, but nobody showed. I thought I needed this appt to get my meds handled cos insurance. I rescheduled for two weeks out, but when I called to reschedule, I wasn't at any point allowed to speak to a human. Remember, at this point as far as I know, I can't get my meds because insurance. I finally get to the Dr last week and they tell me they can't release my medication cos they need a TB test first. Not once in the more than a month prior to this did anyone mention I needed this TB test. No one told me insurance had approved my meds 4 wks earlier. Every time I tried to contact Schweiger Dermatology, I ended up talking to a robot, both via phone call and text. Missing my medication means it may not work as effectively once I restart it. This was an absolute failure on the part of the Drs office as a result of leaning on non-human workforce. Any human looking at my chart could have seen the test was required, that I'd missed it, that I have memory issues, and a simple phone call would have saved me weeks of absolute misery.

I was Greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner as I was handed a clipboard to complete some paperwork. While completing the papers Judy came out and introduced herself and offered me water/coffee as I continued my papers. Judy brought me to an office and explained the procedure I was having. She wanted to make sure I was fully aware of the procedure and the after care of my skin. What a professional!!! I wanted to wait to mention the laser skin resurfacing procedure that I had done until I found what the results were going to be. Well here are my findings, The procedure was not painful whatsoever and I was informed of every thing that was going to be done Judy took the time to take care of my eyes to ensure that they were safe. This procedure was pain-free and the downtime was about I would say seven days. I followed the skin care routine the Judy advises and I could not be happier. I have been in a lot of pain with Cystic acne that is making the entire right side of my face swell. I went in to check in with the receptionist and she was extremely condescending and rude. This was an emergency appointment and I was really lucky to be able to take a cancellation. She proceeded to lecture me because I hadn't called earlier with my new insurance and said I would be held up from being able to go in and see someone. She then told me I would need to pay a $75 copay which I was also not told. I understand I should have called beforehand with my insurance but it was not something in the front of my mind seeing as I am rarely ever at the dermatologist office and today was an emergency visit. She then says "no one needs to tell you anything. You should know your own insurance." I have been in pain all day waiting for my 4 pm appointment with a swollen face. I'm standing in front of this miserable lady trying not to cry and she says she can't bill me or help me.
