I wanted to give a review for Dr. Grant. I have been going to her for a couple of years now. i kept forgetting to give her a review before. The office wait time can very. I have had it where I was the first appointment of the day and was ushered back really quickly. There are other days where the office is full of patients and I have had to wait. She is very attentive and listens to what you have to say and she always answers any questions that i ask. The last time in she made sure to ask me if I wanted a full body check for skin issues. I happen to be someone that deals with Psoriasis... She wanted to make sure that I did not have any other skin issues. She made sure to check all of my moles and freckles In fact I have another appointment with her tomorrow. I was able to get the appointment short notice as well. This helps that I have been going there for a few years. I have recommended that my wife go see her for her skin needs as well. i have also sent a coworker and he had nothing but nice things to say about her as well. I highly recommend that anyone that needs to see a dermatologist to give her a try. read more

The wait time in her office is easily over an hour. I was diagnosed with melanoma and she lacked any compassion. She told me "I've seen people survive." She referenced the Clark scale that my oncologist told me wasn't standard practice any more. I immediately transferred to Dr Smith at Saratoga Dermatology and had the best experience. read more

Dr Grant is a good dermotologist. The staff is friendly. I visited her office and she took care to diagnose my issue and sent me to a surgeon for Mohs surgery. It was all very efficient and successful. read more

Dr Grant was talking politics in my exam unprompted. Criticizing non-Republicans for wanting to raise taxes. She also pointed to my ovarian cancer run-walk shirt which has teal ribbon and foot prints on it and she said "Kamala Harris flip-flop" completely unprompted. She was also complaining about people canceling appointments and how she was not making enough money that day. I will not go back to her. read more

Do not go to see Dr. Gretchen. It was an hour wait time in a small waiting area, the receptionist is rude, and Dr. Gretchen did not knock when entering the room (I was in a gown) and insisted I change while she was still in the room, and opening the door WHILE I WAS CHANGING. She did not answer my questions, but instead said "this cannot be fixed." My question was about dry skin. dry. skin. She wrote the name of my prescriptions and how to use them on piece of scrap paper. When I asked her to please repeat them so I could write them myself, as I couldn't read her writing, she just said "They'll be on the prescription bottle" I did not feel I needed two prescriptions, but she insisted. When I asked her questions she gave very unclear, uninterested answers "are there side effects" (her answer was to look at the bottle. Do yourself a favor and just use another dermatologist. You'll have better luck on Web MD instead of visiting this doctor. Stay away. read more

I was referred to Dr. Grant by my PCP due to some mysterious white patches of skin on my face that I've never had before. She said it was vitiligo and that she would order a blood test to check my thyroid, since she thought it was caused by some kind of autoimmune condition. She also offered to prescribe a cream, but warned me that it was expensive and not usually covered by insurance due to being seen as cosmetic. I appreciate that she told me this. I decided not to get the cream. I was relieved that she didn't think it was skin cancer and that I didn't need to get a biopsy. I got the blood drawn at LabCorp. Time passed, and when I called to follow up, the staff said they never received results from LabCorp. I was able to find the results through the LabCorp patient portal and fax them to Dr. Grant myself. I received a call from one of the nurses who told me that although my thyroid results are at the low end of the normal range, they are still within the normal range. I asked her what the next step is then. She cheerfully informed me that if my PCP wants to order further bloodwork, then that is up to her. So basically, that was the end of my contact with Dr. Grant. I still have the vitiligo and will follow up with my PCP. Luckily it doesn't hurt or itch. I am grateful to Dr. Grant's billing staff. I had written a check for the copay since they don't take debit or credit cards. Shortly after that, my checking account was compromised, so I had to get a new account number and checkbook. Dr. Grant's billing staff was very understanding. They shredded the check and let me write a new check. People should also know that Dr. Grant only works two days a week. read more

I saw Dr. Gretchen Grant to have a growth removed. I found her to be very pleasant and professional. I did not wait long to be seen and when I wasn't able to keep a follow up appointments, she actually called to make sure I was ok. I would definitely see her again! read more

Given the reviews mentioning long waits, I wanted to share my very positive experience. I called for an appointment to evaluate 2 skin lesions and got in the same week. My appointment was 8:30. I arrived at 8:15 to complete paperwork and was in an exam room at 8:30. Dr. Grant saw me promptly and did a full and thorough skin exam. She was very pleasant and professional. She treated one lesion with liquid nitrogen and removed the other. I was done at exactly 9:00. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend this practice. read more

I would not recommend this dermatologist whatsoever. It was my first time coming and the wait was extremely long, and when I did see her it was only for 10 minutes! She asked me who referred me to her office multiple times, and all the while the appointment felt rushed seemingly because she had other patients. Very upsetting, not to mention the receptionist who has a rude attitude. read more

This was my first time going to a dermatologist and I was highly disappointed. Had to pay a lot of money for no help at all. Went the second time to inquire about a new medication that I wanted to try and she did not even give me a second to inquire about it and automatically re-prescribed me the medication that I was on before, which was not helping. I went to Dr. Grant a few years ago. I went for a few visits and stopped seeing her. Each time the wait was OVER AN HOUR. She was never on time. And my appointments were early in the morning before work. The waiting room was always crowded with people whose appointments were well before mine. How are you already THAT backed up? Can't comment on her abilities as a physician, but something is not right in the practice. I called yesterday expecting to get an appointment in a few weeks. It was not an emergency. I was told there was an opening the next day, a pleasant surprise. I just walked out of a waiting room with no seats, patient in front of me checking in was told an hour wait, as was I. There is no way I can believe this is not reflective of either pure mismanagement or a practice of purposefully over-scheduling. Thank you so much for wasting my time today. read more

I tried to set up an appointment for my daughter. I was told that my insurance was not acceptable. I mentioned she had a growth and I really just wanted it at least diagnosed so I offered to pay out of pocket. I was told that the doctor doesn't accept cash. I asked if an exception could be made and I mentioned I was willing to pay ahead or give a deposit if need be. I was still refused. I find it appalling that someone who has taken a medical oath would refuse to help someone solely on their method of payment. My wife and I both work full time and we pay for health insurance and yet that still isn't good enough to get a diagnosis on something that could potentially be life threatening. I wish I could give a rating lower than one star. read more

I've been going to Dr. Grant for the past 2 years and she is the only doctor that has been able to help me with my eczema. Other dermatologists have tried to get me to do certain treatments that will make them more money in the long run and Dr. Grant was the opposite. She figured out right away what the issue was and my severe eczema cleared up in 2 days. Only downside is they do not accept credit cards for co pay but they do remind you when you make an apt. read more

Dr. Grant is excellent! I have been a patient of hers for the past 4 years. My husband and two teenage daughters are also her patients. You will not find a doctor who is more caring, compassionate, and thorough. My daughter had a rash on her legs for about one week that was not clearing up. Dr. Grant examined her and two days later I received a phone call from her asking how my daughter was doing. It is a rarity to find a doctor who calls patients after hours and genuinely cares about each of her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Grant to anyone in the area. read more

Dr. Grant was great! I was impressed by how she took the time to follow through with our family history and also that she noted where all the moles on my daughter's skin were located. This was our first visit and though I was uncertain about what my daughter's itchy patches of skin were [psoriasis or eczema], Dr. Grant was able to identify these easily and prescribed a cream that has provided almost immediate relief. Time will tell if this is the solution, but at least the itching has calmed down. I also appreciate that the prescribed treatment is gentle enough for the patches on my daughter's face and we will try it out on her arms as well-- w/instructions to call if it isn't doing the trick. I'd rather go with the least intense treatment and build up to a stronger option than use something too strong and then deal with side effects or other consequences. We did wait [one less star because it was an hour]. It didn't bother me. It clearly bothered another mom in the waiting room as I heard her complain a couple of times. I personally figure on waiting when going to a doctor's office. If I can't wait, I call ahead to see if the doctor is on schedule and whether I should come in a bit later or reschedule. I mentioned something about it to the doctor and she said something about needing another medical professional. I imagine that as soon as she is fully staffed, she will be able to stay right on top of the scheduled appointments. Dr. Grant's staff was professional and friendly. I appreciate the extra time and attention she gives you, waiting a little extra time in the waiting room is worth the undivided attention she will give you. I was able to get into see Dr. Grant right away. However I did have towait 30 mins to be seen. But, it was more important to get in right away, so, I was ok waiting a little longer than I would have liked. Dr. Grant was thorough too. read more
