Went for a special afternoon tea, but unfortunately probably ranks last on places I've ever done…read morehigh tea. It is a claustrophobic space and too much going on. They need to reduce and clean...especially the bathroom full of hanging clothes. There were items on the menu that were not available, but overall the tea part was fine (they just took a while to bring out sugar, milk etc. that you'd expect to come with it). The most disappointing part was that I'd assumed since it was a cafe that there would be fresh pastries or other items homemade on the tea platters. The scones seemed fresh, but a lot of the other appetizer items looked like the frozen hors d'oeuvres from Costco or something, which was super sad. Overall, I would have expected more for the price and the non-optional $20 gratuity.

A heartbreaking disappointment. I was so excited for this experience. I tried hard to enjoy it…read more It's Valentine's Day and I am being treated to lunch. This never happens to me. I love French inspired cuisine. I have traveled across France. We hosted a French exchange student for a year. I took French in school. This was meant to be a specialized gift for the occasion. The small seating area only had 10 tables tightly fitted into the back of the strip shopping center store. The decor was eclectic but overwhelming. It feels claustrophobic but clean. There were two servers tending to the dining room. They were friendly. There were mistakes on the special menu and they alerted of the issues. They had a special Valentines menu, a tea menu, and a dessert menu. The tea was good. They got it out in a reasonable time. The server brought me a smidge of honey. They had a decent selection of caffeine free teas. She took our food order the same time as our tea order. We sat at our table waiting for an hour before questioned the status of our meal. The table beside us was also becoming restless and tired of waiting. Finally the table beside us received his chicken salad sandwich. His date received my date's order ant took a bite. They resolved this by taking the plate from the incorrect table and gave it to my date AFTER it was touched! This left me sitting there with no food. My date finished her meal and I was still sitting there with nothing. I only ordered a salad topped with grilled chicken!!! After being there for one hour and fifty minutes they said the chicken was still not ready. They didn't charge if for our meal but I never received any food. Nothing. This was a well thought out special occasion that was ruined by an incompetent kitchen. It was a disaster. I left there and stopped by Jersey Mike's. Two hours of my life totally wasted.

It's in the shopping center with Harris Teer and sits on a strip with other quaint shops. There is street parking and if you drive around the back to the Harris Teer side, there is ample parking. We walked in and there were several people behind the counter, they looked as if they were being trained. We were greeted immediately, no one was in line waiting. There are a ton of options to choose from but the menu was laid out quite well, which made it easy to follow. We placed our order and sat at a high top table that had a homemade connect 4 game. It was a great touch and kept us occupied while we waited on our drinks. There was plenty of seating. If you work remote, or need a quick spot to plug in, this place would be it. They have the wifi credentials posted at the register , which is inviting. My daughter got the Taro Milk Tea with brown sugar boba! Yall, this one is a must try! It was delicious. I ordered the Winter Melon Milk tea. This was a disappointment for me. It tasted like unsweetened tea with milk, no Melon taste or flavor. I drank it because it was $6 and some change. We were thirsty and I forgot to take a picture, but I captured a quick video clip on our way out. I do recommend you try this place and if I'm ever in the area again, I would try other options.

This has quickly become one of my favorite coffee and breakfast spots around Lake Norman! I ordered their take on a vanilla iced latte with almond and caramel, and it was such a treat without being overly heavy. Next time I'm already planning to try the iced honey latte, which sounds like it'll be a little less sweet but just as delicious. The breakfast sandwiches were equally impressive. We ordered both the Rocco and the Hank, and they were perfectly seasoned, fresh, and as soon as they hit our table I wanted to take a bite. The English muffins tasted fresh, the eggs, cheese, and toppings were high quality, and I especially loved the dollop of hollandaise sauce on my sandwich--it was like a portable Eggs Benedict! The atmosphere was just as enjoyable as the food. There was plenty of seating inside and outside, the staff was incredibly friendly and prompt, and the café was spotless with adorable décor (plus some fun Lake Norman merchandise for sale). The patio is also dog-friendly, which is always a bonus. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee, a delicious breakfast, or a place to relax for a bit, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. I'll be back soon!

The decor of the shop is cute and there are lots of seating options available both indoor and outdoor. There is free wifi available so it's a good place to get some work done. Parking was readily available and easy. Customer service: the barista who took my order was cold, direct, and rushing to finish helping me so she could go back to her family sitting in the cafe and keep talking to them. She didn't want to do her job, she continued to walk away from the counter to socialize and only walked back to the counter when someone came in. They call your food orders out rather than bringing it to you, customers buss their own tables, and I never saw any of the workers wipe off tables after people left. They have a 95 sanitation rating. Food: decent (I got the Turkey Apple Panini), but it was overwhelmed by the honey mustard and the plate still had residue on it from a previous meal (gross!). Drink: I got an iced vanilla chai. There is a previous yelp review warning against the chai tea and they were right - it did not taste like a chai, just like watered down & milky black tea. I didn't try any of their coffee drinks so I can't speak to that, but I don't have high hopes. Willow Wood Coffee would not be my first choice as there are so many other coffee shops around that have excellent food, drink, and customer service.
