My go-to for haircuts and blow dry. Calming vibe. Highly skilled. Pricing is fair. What more could you ask for :)

Love Sincede! I ONLY get my hair dyed here because they have an organic dye that doesn't smell horrid like the normal ones do and the dye lasts a loooong time. Just did a copper red and love it! I've been going here for years and like to be the first one in and out. It can get busy so make an appointment. read more

Sincede hair studio is a welcoming and peaceful environment. They work to perfection and sincede really cares about her clients needs and wants. She can whip up a scalp serum for dandruff or suggest an amazing treatment for frizz. I love how informative she is. Every time I go it's a great experience and everything is organic is a plus. read more

I went for a haircut but I didn't realize until I got home that one side was longer than the other and noticeably thicker too. That's when I also realized the layers were uneven. I more or less fixed the length difference myself but I'm not skilled enough to do anything about layers. My streak of never having a good haircut continues. read more

I found this place by pure accident and it has been such a breath of fresh air. The owner Sincede is such a warm and welcoming woman. She makes you feel right at home. The salon is so cozy and very zen. You feel very relaxed from start to end. I had my color done the first time and it was beautiful. I have gone back twice for a root touch up and I am always smiling when I leave. The prices are so reasonable and you don't feel like your spending a fortune to look good. I would recommend this salon to people looking for a double to earth place versus some of these stuck up salons in the neighborhood. read more

I loved it!!! Sincede put me at ease from the moment I walked in. The ambiance of the salon was peaceful (love that), and for someone who has never dyed her hair, this organic experience was wonderful. This will be my go-to hair salon. Thank you very much for being passionate about what you do. It totally reflects in your work. read more

I went to Sincede Hair Salon on a whim (about a month ago). Yelp, I don't know if I can trust you anymore. This salon has 5 stars. I don't understand why. Maybe the people who have gotten their hair done here have NO IDEA how real salons function/REAL hairstylists cut hair? I don't know. Let's get started! I desperately needed a haircut (more like a trim) since I noticed that my hair had become significantly thinner due to me stressing out during my last semester in school. Just needed the layers cleaned up, a fresh side bang cut, and a light trim. Nothing complicated. The salon itself is very small. There is barely enough space for 10 people. Cramped, cluttered, and just too much. There is only one hairstylist there - Sincede, and her assistant Maria. I walked in, got stared at, had nowhere to sit. FINE. The salon boasts "ALL ORGANIC" but yeah. Which "organic" products are you using? Can you elaborate on that? Nope. Just because you hang a sign up that says you use organic products doesn't mean anything. The hair washing was totally basic. Water running down my neck, into my ears - YAY! I could've washed my hair at home and done better. When it came time for me to sit in the chair for Sincede to proceed with my haircut experience, it went from mediocre to just GARBAGE. -Sincede interrupted me multiple times to do other peoples hair/talk on the phone/talk to people in the salon, while I was giving her a DETAILED description of exactly what I wanted. -I told Sincede that my hair had lost volume and seemed thin due to stress. I told her that I wanted volume. MULTIPLE TIMES!! _ SHE CUT MY HAIR WITH A RAZOR COMB. Anyone who knows anything about going to salons for haircuts knows that RAZOR COMBS THIN HAIR. ITS FOR THINNING PURPOSES. ISN'T THAT EXACTLY WHAT I TOLD YOU I DIDN't WANT? - The haircut itself was all of 10 minutes. And I think she used a razor to save time on my haircut to spend more time on her older clientele. - I wanted a tight roller set. She barely put anything in my hair, which was practically dry when she was rolling it. Used large rollers despite me telling her I wanted smaller tight curls *_* == I would say that it was a crap experience but I didn't realize how crap it was until I got home === * The bangs were just botched. It looked like I cut them myself while blindfolded. I've been using bobby pins to just pin them back because I can't blow them out because THEY LOOK TERRIBLE. * The RAZOR comb totally thinned my hair out even more than I had thought. I feel like I have 7 strands of hair on my head. * THE HAIRCUT WAS UNEVEN. I had a few hairs that were significantly longer than the rest of my hair. IT LOOKED SO STUPID. She clearly rushed and didn't give a fck about my haircut and making sure it was an even haircut. I will not return to Sincede. Not even for a wash & set. Though it was cheap, I wasn't happy with my haircut at all. I felt rushed and Sincede clearly did not listen to me. I called her 2 days later to tell her my haircut was uneven and I wanted her to fix my bangs - she totally brushed me off like it wasn't a big deal. You messed up my hair and you should fix it, as I paid for your services. Observations: Sincede did a blow out on a customer - I've never seen someone pull hair from the middle of your head to start a blow out. She was just trying to rush the blowout. She also did highlights on another customer - she obviously left the bleach on too long because the hair was WHITE. That's not what highlights look like. SORRY but MY HAIR IS A BIG DEAL. You should aim to please the customer. I will NOT return to Sincede Hair Studio even if I was being paid to. It was pretty clear to me why mostly old ladies go there to do their hair. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

This is my new go-to hair salon. All the stylists are extremely nice and personable, and you can tell that they truly care about their work. I have many issues with my hair and the stylists always ask me questions and try to come up with proper recommendations. I love how the neighborhood peeps always drop by to say hi, the salon gives off good vibes all around. A major plus is that the products are all organic, which is perfect for my fine, easily damaged hair. I usually go for the organic keratin treatment which smooths and defrizzes, but I'm thinking to try organic coloring next time around. They also cut kids hair, so I'm planning to take my daughter for her first cut very shortly! read more

I drove down 93 Street many time and Saw Sincede. I was attracted to how welcoming the salon is. So.. today I called Sincede and she gave me an appointment within 40 min! Boy am I happy I went to her! She is the nicest person! So personable, informative, very educated in the beauty industry and even with natural ways to use hosehold products and turn them into beauty products! I really enjoyed my time getting my hair done! The Salon has nice music playing, it is not cluttered, very clean and peaceful! Everything Sincede uses is ORGANIC!! She is all about using and educating her clients to look and feel beautiful without using chemicals! NOW, the result of my hair is GORGEOUS!! The color, the highlights, and cut are perfect! My hair feels like silk and is soo shiny! LUV HER!! I am soo HAPPY I went to Sincede! What a Great Experience! And Affordable Prices for Top Shelf Quality and results!! She makes it affordable to women to not have to walk around using store box dye that is soo bad for the hair! Thank You Sincede!! You are my New Girl!! :) read more

First time coming here. Sincede and Maria are such sweet ladies who make you feel so welcome and comfortable. They are taking EVERY single precaution possible to ensure the place is sanitized and you are safe. I went in for the organic hair dye, it was quick and came out really nice. Will definitely go again. Thanks girls! read more

I would only go here for trims but not for an ombré or balayage. My hair ended up being gold, blotchy, and uneven. I ended up somewhere else to have it fixed. This was my go-to but not anymore. read more

I wanted to like this place it is nice and cozy and prices reasonable, however the three times I went I wasn't satisfied with the outcome I gave it that many times before writing this review .. I had to get my hair color fixed at another salon . Also that "other salon" told me I needed a trim which I had literally jus gotten done at Sincede salon a few days prior so I guess my hair wasn't trimmed right either.. unfortunately won't be returning here .. read more

I've been here a few times and i must say every experience was good. I have greasy hair and they had washed my hair exceptionally well. My hair waited 3 days to be greasy, which is great considering my hair is usually greasy the next day after my wash. They did a nice cut and a good blow out. I would definitely come again to see how they would curl my hair. I think for a lot of people who have bad experience perhaps they didn't communicate well or they didn't tell them exactly what they wanted. I don't see anything wrong with this place and they do use organic which is plus. read more

Wow! This place is AMAZING! I am so glad I found this place! The staff is so friendly and open- I immediately felt welcomed and really comfortable! My experience started with me being introduced to everyone there and a consultation by my stylist and Sincede herself! I received really genuine and educated advice on what to do with my hair and how to keep it healthy. I loved the vibe here- everything from the real and down to earth staff to the decor and music was so perfect and inviting! My hair has never felt better. I only got a trim and some color, but it was the best trim and color of my life! My hair feels so silky smooth and the health that my stylist put back into my hair is long-lasting. Even after walking around in the heat/humdity and then washing it again, my hair feels and looks amazing! My stylist was so fast, even with my long and thick hair! You can tell the stylists here are very educated in the industry and love what they do! I cannot even do this salon justice through this review. It is extraordinary. I am definitely going to continue going here even though I am moving away from the area! Totally worth it. read more

Wonderful, cozy salon in Ozone Park. I've lived in the area for a short while and finally decided to give this place a try for my long hair. I've gone to salons in Manhattan and Queens and really felt good when I walked in. It is small but very accommodating and everyone is nice. It was a wash, trim and blowout. They took my appointment the day before for the morning and I waited a very short time to get started. It also took a short time to get cut and blown out. I like the products they use to wash hair. My hair is not dyed or treated in any way and after Sincede cut it, it looked great. The prices are very affordable but you get very good service. I will recommend this and will definitely return for more. Thank you. read more

Showed a picture of what I wanted (a slightly angled bob) and I received nothing like it. In fact, when I got home and my hair dried, I saw that it was horribly cut. Instead of angled it was choppy (longer is some spots than others). I was horrified and wound up having to get a friend (who isn't a hairstylist at all) to make it more even. $30 wasted, never again. read more

Sincede is not just a great hair cutter/stylist/beautician, whatever you want to call her. She is a hair scientist. My BFF is a hair scientist, but lives in PA. My mother was a beautician. So my knowledge in this field runs deep, Sincede truly is in a category which the likes of you do not come across every day. Love that her shop is small and very personal with a positive feeling as soon as you walk in. For me, I found gold! read more

I found this place via Groupon ($15 for a wash, cut, and blow dry) and I loved it. This place is really small, but don't let that fool you. The people in there know what they're doing and they're all really nice. I have to say that my hair has not looked this good in a long time. I will definitely be back again. read more

So excited! I found a local spot that is so inviting and good at what they do! The place is small but so cozy! Well decorated! Outside they had a bench and drinks for passerbys, so cute! Ok about the wash, cut and dry: Janice was my hairstylist and she did great! We had a great conversation and she layered my hair and cut my bangs. She told.me the products they use there are all organic. I also love that they did a breast cancer walk last week at the shop! She did a great job and I look forward to coming next week to get a wash and set before my cruise to the Bahamas! read more

This salon is cozy and the staff is very attentive. The prices are great!!! N yes the did a great job with my hair.

Went here after a botched hair trim at another place. My first time here and sincede made me feel welcomed. She was so nice and shared her hair tips with me. She did an amazing job with my hair and could not be any happier. Definitely will be sticking to her from now on. read more

Although I cannot give Sincede full justice through this review, I can say that this is the best salon to get your hair colored without damaging it. Sincede uses organic hair color and speaks with you to find the best way to keep your hair healthy. I have gone to Sincede over a dozen times over the past three years, (mostly to get a cut and blow out), and every visit, I have gotten excellent service. read more

So after 20 years of the same haircutter she just up and disappeared. Having difficult hair is hard enough but to get used to someone for all that time and then be without them is a serious challenge to face. I have known Sincede for quite some time but never thought about her doing my hair because I was so comfortable in my situation. Never did I dream I would have to make other considerations. After much procrastination and hesitancy, I made the call. To begin with Sincede recognized immediately that I appreciate privacy and offered to open the shop for me on her day off. I can assure you what I have to say about my hair has nothing to do with the favor she extended me. Simply put, it's the best color and cut I have had in as long as I can remember. Her knowledge about hair is immediately obvious and evidenced in the cut and the color. She uses quality products and the salon, while not pretentious, is comfortable and very relaxed. To me recommending someone to do your hair is on the same parr as recommending a medical professional. Let's face it, a bad haircut can send you into a downward spiral. Basically you can trust this woman with your hair no matter what condition it's in or what your problem is. By the way, not only was the outcome better than I could have dreamed of, the price was less than half of what I'm used to paying. I don't know if ever in my life there has been a better example of the old saying "when one door closes, another one opens." From now on when it's time for a haircut/color I won't be opening anyone else's door but Sincede's. read more

I went to sincede back in June. I purchased a groupon for highlights, cut and blow out. Of course when they saw the groupon they said they can't do all of the services the groupon offered and told me they will charge me an extra $50. So why did you advertise it on the groupon? I ended up paying the regular price for my highlights and cut. I gave it three stars because my hair came out decent but I hate being ripped off. I will never go back to this place. read more

I never do this but I feel like she deserves the acknowledgement... This place is absolutely FANTASTIC! As soon as you walk in you feel comfortable.. It's small and cozy and Sincere is very talented... She knows her stuff and will advise you with what works best for you and even give you tips... As soon as you get to talking you feel like you've known her forever and there is nothing more important then feeling comfortable with the person that is handling your hair... Even as a first time customer she accommodated me and took me in right away... I wanted a new look and she transformed me... Her prices are more then fair and I fell in love with her organic products... The salon has a family atmosphere and I'm so happy I found it.. This is my new girl! Thanks Sincere for my new look! read more

The worst salon EVER, it's as if nobody here went to school or were trained for this job, went there once, haircut was definitely not what I wanted, I had a picture but the girl decided to do her own thing, I was pissed, and they cannot blow dry hair very well at all, I went home and still had to run a flat iron through my hair, such a bad experience ......,.. read more
