I found this salon through YELP and it did not disappoint. I came here feeling horrible about my thin hair and Lu Ann gave me an awesome short hair cut that gave me the volume I wanted. I am surprised that they did not push too hard to sell their products. She suggested a couple of things but she said, Google it and come back when and if you want it. It feels great to have the power to decide for yourself and not feel awkward if you say no. Everybody in the salon is super friendly and the place is clean and chic. I visited Finally My Salon in June for a haircut. It was my first time at this salon and I was a little nervous about trying a new place but I decided on this place because it is close to my home and because of the positive reviews. Upon entering I was warmly greeted and my nerves were put at ease. I got my hair washed, cut and blown out by I believe Maria, and I was really satisfied with the job that was done. I wanted to check out this salon for a while now. I have walked by it many times and it looked welcoming due to there "walk ins welcome" sign. I set up an appointment for Saturday 10/17/15 with Anna. I told her that I was looking for a change because I was sick of my straight black hair. I was looking to do a perm or a body wave. Saturday morning came and I received a call from the salon they told me that Anna was running a bit late and if I can come at 2pm. I didn't have a problem with that I know doing hair takes time. I figure I was in good hands with Anna being that she doesn't rush her clients and takes her time. I was sure that I would be shown the same courtesy. When I got there I had to ring the bell which I thought it was weird for a salon to have but whatever. I was let in but there was no one at the reception desk. There were no seats available in the waiting area most of the seat were taken up by women with rollers and color on their hair waiting to be washed. After waiting for 5 minutes someone walked up to a lady that came after me. I rushed over and told her my name and who I was there for. I told her that I was thinking of doing color and not a bodywave. Another 5 minutes later a women tells me to follow her so she can wash my hair. On the way to the washing station I saw Anna she asked why did I want color? I told her because I thought about and I think I'll be happier with dying my hair and not the waves. Judging from my pass experience I think waves would be too much maintenance for me. She went on to saying that curls are no maintenance at all and if I wanted to dye my hair she might not have time. She yells at the washing station and tells the lady not to wash my hair but to prep me for color and she went on blow drying her client hair. I asked the lady at the washing station "why would you prep me if she said she might not have time. I don't want to start something and not finish it." The lady didn't look at me the whole time she was playing with her phone then said "ok then go ask her." So I went back to Anna and asked her to confirm if she is going to have enough time to do my hair? So once again I found myself waiting.........Anna finally came I told her what I wanted and how I wanted it. Right away it was a big no no she said that what I wanted was going to take too much time and she book me for a wave not color. At the moment she couldn't take such a big job like that because It required a tuner, color, highlight etc In the end I was forced to book another appointment for the following week with one of her co-workers. I was so disappointed! Never in my life have I been told to reschedule in a beauty salon for changing my mind. It's my hair! My head! I'm entitle to change my mind. I will never come back here. I went to my First Class Hair Salon and Joanne did a fabulous job! I love my hair! read more

I just gata give this place 5 stars i just must. First,i got there a little late but was still accomidated right away. I have short hair that im growing out, i wanted purple ombre, my hair stylist rosanna was honest and said highlights would be cheaper and still look great! I trusted her and we choose two colors, she mized them and wala! Beached my hair..dye went in..i was.so suprised at how FAST the process was. Really did not take as long as i thought. Purple is not easy to pull off. She gave me a beautiful blow out and wow it looked so good. Its my 4th week with this hair and im still getting never ending complimemts from strangers at school or on the street. When my appoingment was over i recieved a feee duffle bag with a sample size wella dry shampoo which smells GREAT! My hair seems somehow more healthy than before idk how. No damage! The color gets brighter with every wash. My best friend also got her hair done (teal highlights, cut, blowdry) i was STUNNED at how great it looked. it's walking distance from my house, about a 10 min walk and 2 minute bus ride. I dont do anything close to my house so that was just the cherry ontop. So happy to have this place near by i highly recommend it! :) read more

I have virgin hair that is medium to long hair and it is curly. I was scared that I would go to a salon that my hair wasn't going to be treated right since I have curly hair and I didn't want my hair to look bad after dying it. I booked my appointment with Paula who I trusted immediately because i have seen her work before. HER BLENDING IS AMAZING which made me trust her even before i dyed my hair. I asked for carmel highlights and it wasn't exactly like the picture I showed her but it came out perfect!!! At first I didn't like it because I had to get used to a different look on myself. But when I got home and actually saw my self in light I really liked it. She truly knows what she's doing. Everyone I see everyday immediately noticed and absolutely loved it. She also charged me a very fair amount. I love my hair and I will be going back to her very soon for touch ups. Had an appointment with Paula while back ago, and she did an AMAZING job!! So happy to find her and this salon. I had a blonde balayage/ombré done and couldn't be happier with the results..and trust me, I'm picky when it comes to coloring my hair..really picky and particular. I really like when the colors nicely blend together and gradually transition from one shade to another to make it as natural looking as possible..and Paula did exactly what I had in mind. I went for a hair straightening treatment but despite of having two treatments and paying about $500, my hair still looks the same. I dont know if they dont take enough time to perform the treatment or don't mix the solution properly but I was very disappointed. The staff is very friendly so will give two stars for that but not happy with the result. read more
