Why I'll go back: Solid cocktails in space with a low-key, loungey vibe…read more You HAVE to order: pick your poison Tony's Tip: no food here. Prep accordingly. Down the street from Stubborn Seed and around the corner from Carbone, you'll find a cocktail bar mid-block that is so understated it will actually pique your curiosity. Is this place open? What's in there? What's up with that name? Yes, it's open - and very late! Inside, you will find a wide variety of cocktails and a smoky coolness waiting. And the name? Dang! - I forgot to ask. Homework for my next visit. Following an early dinner, the lady and I enjoyed a couple of drinks around 8:30. We were the only ones in the place, which still felt cozy. Learned a lot about the group that owns this spot from our friendly bartenders. Drinks were good, the playlist matched the loungey vibe, and the prices were in line with what you'd expect (gratuity included). Overall, a nice early nightcap. We did pop our head in last year around 10:00 p.m., and the place was ramping up. I've no doubt it's a great scene the later you get.

A truly great spot with friendly, extremely experienced and knowledgeable bartenders (Nate and Stephen). 10/10 drinks and service. We were reluctant to leave for our dinner res! In need of a total 180 from the scorching sun, sand and obnoxious crowds? Then Regent Cocktail…read moreClub is just what you're looking for. Our mixologist was awesome. You can pick something from their drink menu or they'll whip you up something special. We did both and enjoyed them equally. Sink into one of their comfy leather sofas or grab a stool at the bar and enjoy a drink or two. RCC is classy and seductive with great craft cocktails.

I have lost track of the amount of times I have gone to the Regent Cocktail Club…read more I've gone to see shows, I've gone there to dance and drink, I've gone there to spend time with friends. I really cannot say all the reasons I've gone. What I can say, though, is that I have enjoyed it EVERY SINGLE TIME. The chic, modern ambiance is to die for. You'll definitely be grooving all night long, whether it's on the floor, at the bar, or even sitting down if you're fortunate enough to be able to grab a table. Seriously speaking, I have only ever seen the tables empty throughout the week. On weekends, this place is hopping! I cannot believe I just used hopping in a sentence; goodness I feel old. Anyway, if you're concerned about parking, the 17th Street Parking Garage is nearby. That or you can Uber. As far as getting to the Regent, be aware it's on a corner and you may miss it if you don't look close enough, but when you find it, YOU WILL BE HAPPY. The drinks here are expensive compared to other areas of Miami, but you're in Miami Beach, so I would say prices are average. $15ish for a drink if memory serves me correctly? Lots of variety, too - gin, vodka, whiskey, etc. Needless to say, I highly recommend the Regent Cocktail Club.

It's packed at 1AM and everyone is on the dance floor or you walk up and there's a huge line of people waiting to be let in. I personally went to two different bathrooms and encountered resistance both times, with staff being weird and dismissive about allowing women to use the facilities. When I was finally allowed to use the bathroom, the bathroom attendant was extremely rude, rushed me, and then demanded a tip. When I calmly told him that women should be treated better, he became aggressive and started arguing with me loudly, including switching to Spanish and escalating the confrontation. Despite this behavior, I still attempted to leave a tip afterward, which he refused while telling me not to use the bathroom again. Nothing physically dangerous happened, but the experience felt sexist, unwelcoming, and inappropriate, especially for a space that is supposed to be inclusive. I left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected and would not recommend this place to women or mixed groups. Don't forget about the fucking L!
