On the first visit he sat me down and we talked about where the pain was and what my options were for getting me back to my old self. He took the time to show me my MRIs, explain what he saw and made sure that I understood. He recommended injections to see if that was where the pain was coming from and sure enough, 1 injection on both sides of my hips and 2 months later, the pain returned. Next option was either more injections and nerve ablation OR SI joint fusion. We discussed in depth the pros and cons with each and we decided on the fusion surgery. In Feb 2021 he did my right SI joint and the band of pain that stretched around my hips was gone even though I had months of recovery ahead of me. My 1st month post-op in Mar 2021 went well. He answered all my questions and got me set up for physical therapy for 6 weeks. Unfortunately physical therapy wasn't enough and I needed a Lumbar Microdiscectomy, done Sept 2021. My back feels a lot better but we will have to wait to see if it gets close to 100% recovered. Fast forward to 2023 and I'm still having pain. I did try to go back to Dr.Guiot but his practice as been bought out and they only handle injury claims now. That sucks however I wish them the best.

In Febuary my neck became infected, he went back in and cleaned it out and closed it back up. He put a picc line in for antibiotics which I broke out in blisters. So they discontinued that. The infection never cleared up. He sent me to a wound specialist, I had a wound vac ,and I dealt with an open pus wound from feb till sept he finally was convinced it was time to do something about it. So Back in i went and he took all the hardware out and stitched me back up. On my last visit with him I told him my fingers were going into atrophy and the back of my neck was sinking in. He said there was nothing more he could do for me. I ended up going to someone else who advised me i did need more surgery, including putting the hardware back in and call in a plastic surgeon and he needed to go further up as the mri showed. I had to undergo a 6 hr surgery, and everything is healing fine with no infection.

After just a little more than 36 hours after surgery I've come to the conclusion that I do not regret having the surgery. Dr. Henry told me what to expect but what he didn't know was that his skills would alleviate most all of the pain. The first night after surgery I was able to sleep through the night without waking up whistling Uncle and a hand that was tingling so bad I could not stand. I'm grateful for dr. He flustered my husband who was fresh from his 4th surgery on his back. He assumed that my husband was an addict. He never even asked about the pain. He did how ever take a tongue depressor and broke it to a sharp point and proceeded to poke all the scars on his back. My husband could not flinch because he was in such pain from the "doctors" assessment. My husband was only trying to get established with pain management because of his chronic pain that will never go away. The "doctor" also said he was on pain meds too long and he was going to go through withdrawals. But he did not check when they were filled the last time which was 4 months ago. The Botox filled lips of the "pa" was in the room just to show her judgement. I suggest anyone who looks to be helped by these people you need to look elsewhere.

ER doctor called in his general surgeon who specializes in colon/rectal area to tend to me and he was fantastic both during ER drainage and follow up appointments with another drainage/abscess/fissure/fistula. General Surgeon is thorough, listens and recommends best recovery for your particular health/body. Highly recommend this hospital and staff! High quality knowledge and ER nurse was very attentive and knowledgeable. Went here after Avecina Urgent Care in St Augustine was horrible and the PA did not even look at skin anal area to correctly diagnose it was an abscess that needed ER attention while in excruciating pain. I found him to be very personable, knowledgeable and not quick to say...X-ray, MRI or any of that. He poked, prodded and squeezed my ankle then told me, what made sense, what was wrong! I over did it and my inside tendon was inflamed. Probable with "lots" of time it would get better (I was on 3 months already) but with a shot of cortisone it will feel better right away and the cortisone will reduce the swelling inside my ankle hence the healing could take place faster...bingo- we did it!
