Absolutely love Dr Simpson and his staff! They took care of our 4 dogs all in one visit and we all survived!!

Had a appt to get our dog checked out. Ended up needing surgery to remove these masses from her, Three in total were to be removed. Got a quote that did not match what was said in the consultation. Had the surgery and during pick up our bill had doubled. Not a huge deal but wanted to speak with the Dr and make sure this miscommunication doesn't not happen again. Dr starts to get loud and yelling at this point in the exam room. Not necessary at all over something we had already paid for. Claims we will get a credit on our account but we will not be back after this experience. read more

Dr. Simpson is amazing. He will go over everything he is doing and explain. He's done very well with all our pets, Horses and dogs. He is also very passionate about his job. He was very comforting when he put our girl to sleep. Thank you Dr. Simpson! read more

First time visit with Cooper, an adopted shelter dog. Front office people were very friendly and greeted us. The vet Assistant was thorough in her questions. Dr. Simpson gave Cooper a very thorough exam and went over health concerns. Visit was not rushed. read more

******0 stars I have been using Dr Simpson for 10 yrs. That didn't matter to him. I have spent $1000's of dollars I am a small breeder. He claimed that I missed 3 appts which was absolutely not true. He said his computer keeps track. I did miss this last one because my MIL passed away we actually got the call on the way to the appt I called immediately to cancel . So I called the next day and he said I would need to pay a deposit to bring my dogs there. Mind you I just spent $7-800 this month there. I have never been more mortified or just sick that anyone would treat a client of 10 plus years like this. I absolutely would not recommend anyone spend any money at this VET. It Must be about money only and not the relationship with the animals or client. I was made to feel like I was a liar. I am appalled at the treatment I receive. read more

Appears it's been a couple of years since the last review so here goes! Appears the receptionist in question has been replaced. We always receive kindness and respect from everyone we've encountered in the office. Every single person. :) About the services - we're pretty choosy about our vet so finding one when we moved to Walton wasn't a chore I was looking forward to. Typically the best case scenario is finding an "OK" practice and sticking with the vet that was the most capable amongst the crew. So I was giddy to find that BOTH of the vets - Simpson and Hunsche - are top notch. They're in tune with the pet - thorough with exams and instructions- and have excellent bedside manner. Dr. Simpson is awesome. We've been coming here for several years now with four dogs--now three. When we had to have our 17 year old hound put down, he was so compassionate! He provides great care & pricing, while high, isn't unreasonable in my opinion--you get what you pay for. Appointments are fairly easy to get and the staff are kind and professional. read more

UPDATE: After about a years time passing by, my wife and I had moved on from the event described below and my 39 week pregnant wife went in to get a prescription filled. The receptionist literally had her in tears by the time she walked out the door. The receptionist (also the owner's mother) urged her to find another Vet because we left a 1 star review online. I then tried to call the main owner the next day to put this all past us and I even offered to remove the review. He won't return my call. Great company. I'll be contacting the BBB with this story now because I don't find it appropriate to make a 39 week pregnant women cry over any type of mis-understanding and especially over something so small like this that could be resolved with just a conversation. ORIGINAL STORY: My wife and I raved about this vet (Dr. Simpson) for a long time and recommended that all our friends and family in the area go to them. Over time though, they grew and grew but haven't adapted. Their service is extremely sub par and when you call in, 9 times out of 10, you will get put on hold. Their new vet that they have hired on, which we have had the pleasure of having 3 times now, always seems to be in a bad mood. Just one experience I'd like to share... My wife initially took our dog in because he was lethargic, they diagnosed him, gave him some medication for the time being and told us we need to come back for blood work in a few weeks. We asked if we needed to schedule an appointment for that and they said no, it will be a quick in and out and they also mentioned the price would be substantially cheaper because they only needed to run 1 test... A few weeks go by, I take a half day, we call just to make sure we can bring him in, the receptionist explained they are extremely busy and they will check with the vet and see if they can fit us in. At this point, we also realize we are out of medicine, so I called in again to see if I can pick up some more medicine even if they can't squeeze us in. Receptionist again says she will check with the vet. At 4:30, she says to come on in and pick up the medicine. I drive 25 minutes to pick up the medicine, and I get told they don't have the medicine in stock because there is a shortage. Receptionist explains that she will call it into Walgreens near our house. Not happy that I drove 50 minutes round trip for nothing, but fine. I also explained that I wasn't happy that I took a half day off work and we were told we could stop in anytime for the blood work. The always in a bad mood, Vet explained that there was a miscommunication and I need to definitely make an appointment even though the procedure takes 30 seconds. Around 5:45, we get a phone call from the vet explaining that the pharmacy doesn't have the right dosage in stock so we will just need to come back to the vet tomorrow and they can mix and match dosages. Just ...great.... To top it all off, we show up for our now scheduled appointment a few days later (another half day off work) and it literally takes them 30 seconds to draw the blood and they wanted to charge us $97 after all we've been through. No one should have to go through this much frustration over a vet. As I mentioned, their service has gone downhill the bigger they get and they just haven't adjusted. I would recommend looking for a different vet or expect a lot of frustration and miscommunication. read more

Can't say enough about Dr. Simpson! His knowledge field is unbelievable from small animals to large/farm animals. He's kind and caring, he even checks on your animals after leaving the office by phone. In this day and age this is unheard of by a doctor. I wouldn't take any of my animals any where else. His office is clean and so pretty, it also smells good too. From the time you enter his doors there is always a smiling helpful face. Staff goes out of the way to help you. Prices are good. Great clinic, very knowledgeable vets, and they don't over charge or suggest unnecessary meds/procedures

I have taken my two dogs to this vet since shortly after they opened, approx. 3 yrs. I think. Today I was 14 minutes late arriving for my appointment and the woman at the desk treated me like I was a serial killer! I apologized for being late, something I had never done before, which I pointed out to her, and she snapped "AND you've got two cancellations against you." I don't remember the cancellations but in 3 years I may have been forced to cancel due to some emergency, but I strongly doubt that I had canceled without giving appropriate notice, if possible. I would have immediately rescheduled. My dog is very sick and I need a vet. She may have to have surgery and it may be cancerous, so I need to see a vet as soon as possible. I asked if I could reschedule and was told I could if I left a $47 deposit. My husband said "Come on, lets go somewhere else", and walked out the door. Out of concern for my dog, and because I had been so happy with the care in the past, I stayed behind to try to work things out. I handed her my credit card, all the while listening to her tirade against me about not following the clinic's "Policy". I never knew of any "Policy", don't remember ever being given anything that stated their "Policy". She obviously wasn't trying to find a solution. I thought maybe I could just wait until the other appointments were finished and then see the doctor, but she didn't even give me a chance to offer that solution. I realized that I was going to have to find another vet, so I took back my card and told her I would just find someone else. All she said was "Fine". I am scrupulous about being on time to any appointment if at all possible. If I am one minute late, I have failed. Having been in the business world, working since I was 13 years old and am now 68, I am fully aware that missed appointments cost the vendor money, so I treat any business associate and/or vendor as I want to be treated, fully respecting their time. I have been a lucrative patient and now, this woman has cost Dr. Simpson a patient. As I read the previous review, I wonder how many times Dr. Simpson can allow this to happen before whoever is at that front desk (mother or not) gets redirected to something that is not so dangerous to his practice. I am hurt, I am confused and I am angry. I have always sung the praises of this doctor and I still do, however, due to the way I have been treated, I will no longer recommend this clinic to anyone and I will find another vet. read more

Great clinic, friendly staff, patient and knowledgeable vet. My dog had been suffering for several months and I had taken him several vets with no improvement. So much $ spent on misdiagnosis or narrow diagnosis. Dr. Simpson took the time to examine my dog thoroughly and explained to me his process and why he was diagnosing certain conditions. Very personable and explains vet terminology without making you feel like a moron. I felt he analyzed all aspects if my dog's health and wasn't pushy about certain x-rays or surgeries my dog may need in the future. He genuinely seemed to care about animals and people. My dog finally improved after visiting Dr. Simpson. read more
