I've been meaning to get to this review since last July 2017 but…read more.. Last July 2017 my wife and I sold and purchased a home. We did the usual phone around for prices and found Waal & Co. to be priced similar to that of others. I knew Waal & Co. are a long-established notary firm so we decided to use them. Long story short, our purchase closed first and I don't think I've ever met a more abrupt or rude Notary than Heather Waal during the signing appointment. Very mechanical, no explanation and when it came to questioning items on the Statement of Adjustments she was very defensive and argumentative. Let's just say there were no warm & fuzzies but I said maybe it was just a one-off. When our sale closed the same thing. This time the prices quoted by Brad Waal were completely different from what was being charged. Again, when questioned Heather was very defensive, rude and abrupt. All in a huff after she confirmed with Brad did she "very reluctantly" reverse her overcharges. Let's just say, there are far too many notaries in the Fraser Valley that's it's pretty safe my wife and I won't be going back ever again. In fact, we recently needed a document notarized and, as you guessed, we didn't go there. Why would you reward a practice who treats their clients as simply a "cattle-call" number who is unappreciative of the business they receive!
