I purchased a property which had a survey done by this company back in 2002…read more The plat accessible to the online public, had 2 places missing whether or not a pin was found or set. That was questionable. I hired them to come out, find, set, and mark the property boundaries and lines. Just to be sure I knew what I now owned. The same side in question from the previous plat, the side with missing pins, had 22 pine trees in the path of the line during my survey. I have since had the trees removed, and noticed that the marker stakes are snaked, where it should be a straight line. It's evident to anyone with functional eyeballs. When I called the company to address my concerns, I was first told I'd receive a call the next morning. By mid afternoon of the following day, I still hadn't heard back, so I called, again. Which was fine, things happen. I was transferred to speak with Mark. I explained that the line was not straight, and how I understood a mistake could've occurred due to the pine trees. I also mentioned to him that the two days the survey was being done, it was terribly rainy, too. I simply assumed there was an equipment error. Mark was condescending and unwilling to even consider that his company could be anything but infallible. It was a gross display of human interaction. After sighing and showing no sign of being interested in my questions or concerns of the $1,100 job his company did, he finally agreed that someone would come out, but it would take a week. He gave me 2 different days, (a Friday and the following Monday) that he would have someone come to recheck their line. He made it very clear that if the line was in fact, straight, he would charge me for that time. I assured him that it wouldn't be a problem because I'm not blind, and I know the difference between straight and snaked. We ended the conversation with the Friday and Monday on the schedule. Confirmed. Not surprisingly, the company was a no-show. No phone call. No excuse or apology. Nothing. They wasted my time. But, like I said, they already received $1,100 for the job. What do they care about professionalism after the fact? The check was cashed. This isn't the only platform receiving this information. The BBB is being contacted, as well. Please, if you need a survey done on your property, look for a reputable business. There is absolutely no excuse for these unethical practices to continue.

First the GFI was not working property, I couldn't push the button and reset it after several tries. Bob, the Senior technician according to the email this company sent me, was able to push the button and made it work. So he told me that my home warranty won't pay for the replacement if it works. OK, fine! The next problem is the ventilation fan above the stove that was in the ceiling that won't turn on and there is a switch that we suspect was the control. He took off the plate of the switch, and told me that the switch had no electricity in it. And I asked him if he could figure out if it was a bad switch, a bad breaker, a bad or the wiring or the fan that is not working. He replied: "I don't know what that is, and I have never seen it in my life!" "I won't touch that greasy thing!" I told him it has been cleaned by professional cleaners twice and acknowledged that it was still greasy, but asked him if he could wear a gloves to at least to look at the fan. Nope! Bob just walked off the site and told me that he would refer me to another company. What a diva! Even though I am not an electrician, I have seen several fans like this in old houses. For an electrician who is not hired to strut the runway but solving my problems, this diva is not up to the job! They took more than a week to send someone but that person is not here for work. What a waste of time! The following day, a handyman came and figured out that the wiring in the switch was reversed and he corrected it, took the cover of the fan off, cleaned it up and made it work.

The construction crew has been blocking both our and a neighbor's driveway whenever they please despite being told not to do so. They have thrown trash all over our property. They also had to remediate for asbestos and left many materials on the site where the next day heavy machinery was picking up the materials and causing a huge cloud of dust to blow all over our property, our cars and the yard where my pets play. Additionally, Evergreene has been parking blocking a fire hydrant and crosswalk which is illegal and dangerous to children crossing the street who cannot see oncoming traffic. Despite reaching out to Evergreene on these issues nothing has changed and it appears that we will have to turn to law enforcement to correct the danger Evergreene is causing. I also contacted Evergreene regarding a lot they had. It took six weeks for Evergreene to offer me an appointment, and they only did so once the lot was under contract. It is my opinion that the way Evergreene Homes has handled things has been dangerous, illegal and without regard to anyone around their projects. We have neighbors who also lived next door to one of their projects who were beside themselves over the construction and damage to their property and now have issues with the people who purchased that house. I would never recommend doing business with Evergreene Homes.

This is apparent in the construction quality of their homes and the poor customer service from contract to the conclusion of your one year warranty. Evergreene Homes used to build a nice home as noted by their subcontractors; however, based on the more recent construction of their homes and the cost cutting measures implemented that is no longer the case. It is also surprising that they send the majority of their architecture work to India to save on costs. The primary cost cutting measures noted are using an electric furnace in the upstairs when gas would be more efficient, poor quality windows as drapes sway on windy days due to air infiltration, inadequate insulating of rain showers heads in attics and plumbing lines on exterior walls, gutters/downspouts too small for the size of roofs they manage rain for, using flexible gas lines throughout their homes when black iron is superior and very common with their competitors, using plastic tubs in secondary bathrooms, lack of snow guards on metal roofs as a heavy snow fall will cause snow to slide down the metal roofs and rip the gutters off your home and damage landscaping, hanging drywall without the use of glue, not insulating plumbing drain pipes in the basement and first floor so it sounds like waste water is rushing through the pipes when a toilet is flushed on the second floor causing unpleasant noise, a vast amount of insects collecting on the inside of windows due to poor quality windows, dirty ductwork and furnaces with construction dust and debris due to the HVAC being started up too soon in the building process, lack of drain mat on the foundation walls which will improve storm water draining along the foundation wall, lack of mold resistant purple drywall in bathrooms, and finished flooring is not run under cabinets in bathrooms and kitchens, lack of PVC glue used on exterior cornice material joints as noted by the manufacturer, installing PVC exterior trim when material is uncared for and lying in mud, lack of using magnets instead of bullet catches on interior doors, using pine interior trim over poplar, installing poor quality flexible HVAC ducts instead of metal hard pipes, and not making wall mount garage door openers standard (they are quieter) when a living area is above the garage. The third party warranty is ridiculous as you should review the standards prior to contract! In addition, make sure you ask that the structural engineer of record certifies the house prior to wall insulation being installed.

We got a quote on the hoa required pavers, but then we got some new ideas from Mackie and switched to those. Our hoa did not allow us to use anything but what we had originally gotten a quote for. To make a long story short, we had to postpone Mackie due to interior home work, but we planned on calling him when this was finished. We did just this. We contacted him to start work on the pavers our hoa approved, which were the first quote we got from him. We were informed that Mackie would not work with the materials he had originally quoted us for. He was not comfortable working with these materials. Needless to say, we were surprised he Told us this. I have contacted our community via Facebook page and informed them to not waste mackie's time on getting a quote because he will not work with materials our hoa has restricted us to. So be careful if you get a quote from Mackie. He seems to not work with certain material. Go with a company that will work with you on what you have to use.

I bought a house with a 32 foot long retaining wall that had completely failed and could have fallen on someone at any moment. I was expecting to have to wait until the Spring of 2022 to get the work done but Omega came through in a huge way and handled the project within a couple weeks of my first meeting with Mackie. We opted to go with a block wall system to avoid issues with drainage (which is why the first one failed) and we could not be happier with the final product. The cost for the work was reasonable and their crew was fantastic. They had the equipment, knowledge and experience to rebuild my retaining wall where it will never move again - and it looks fantastic at the same time. One of the tricky parts was trying to demo the failed retaining wall, which was pinned to the house foundation, without damaging the house or the nice patio just in front of it. They did excellent and got the old wall down without causing extra damage. Being a home inspector I was supervising a majority of the work and have high standards - they went above and behind, over-engineering my wall at times because they had extra material and figured it was worth it which I greatly appreciated. These guys are going to be my go-to referral for any stone/landscape/hardscape/retaining wall needs for myself as well as clients of my home inspection business. Great job Mackie and Omega crew!
