My most favorite place to really stretch out my muscles and get rid of all my knots. I make an appointment with Lynda every month because she knows exactly where my problem areas are, and she focuses on them personally. She's cracked the bones in places that I didn't even know were able to be cracked. I feel so much lighter after our massage, and all the tension that I've had naturally goes away. Now - this is a Thai massage, so expect for them to walk on your back if you're OK with that. I like really strong massages, and to feel pain-free after. So if you're somebody that can't handle that, definitely let her know ahead of time so that way you're not surprised. I've gone to many massage places, and she and the girls are the only ones that effectively take my muscle pain away. it's about $60 an hour for most massages, which honestly feels like a great deal considering that you're probably getting the same if not better quality here versus places like massage envy spa or Burke Williams at a fraction of the price. Definitely try out the place, it's a little hole in the wall but you will definitely not be sorry. read more

So I wasn't asked which massage I wanted. Yes I could have said which massage on wanted but I'd figure I'd just roll with it. Obviously it ended up being a Thai massage and man did I needed one. Ai you ended up being so sweet and amazing. She did ask where I was in pain and did focus on what I asked for. Bonus points for actually stepping on me and walking on me and being a true Thai massage. 10/10 will back. read more

My usual massage therapist was unavailable at another massage spa. I was in the area and decided to give Simply Relax a try. I was able to make an appointment for a same day session. I had a 2 hr. Swedish massage by Kalyn. She was very attentive to the pressure which to me is very important in a massage. The massage room was clean and the environment was relaxing with aroma of essential oils. I will definitely be back for my routine monthly sessions. Thank you. read more

Very relaxing massage with Iyoui today. I felt comfortable the entire time and left feeling calm and refreshed. I've already booked my next appointment for next month. read more

My first time here. Everything was great. Very relaxing and nice smelling. Mona (I think) gave me a one hour massage and hit all the right spots with just the right amount of pressure. I came in with a sore back and neck and came out feeling refreshed. I like the stretches, the oil / lotion and the hot rocks. Its nice to spoil yourself. I will be back. read more

It was an exceptionally good massage with Nida. The combination option is worth it in my opinion! She is very well versed in technique. The only suggestion I have which is what didn't make it an all-stars rating was that she was also working as a receptionist, so she'd answer the phone while she was massaging me and it would throw off my meditation. read more

Soothing atmosphere, love the fresh smell of this place.. my therapist Neda has amazing hands! I come here regularly for her to take away the aches and pains that she's so carefully massages out each time! It's very therapeutic and healing.. read more

Iyoui is the best. I was a very good relaxing massage. I will definitely be going back. Not the fancy place but friendly staff.

We've been on Simply Relax for a long time. The service is amazing, they are nice, friendly, and easy to deal with. Nida and JJ's vibe was amazing. Highly recommended. read more

This was possibly the best massage I've ever gotten. I did the 90 minute and combination. They were thorough and I left feeling considerable relief. I am a firefighter and believe me when I say there is nothing better when you really need it than getting relief from feeling stiff and sore. They really helped me out today. So fantastic and thorough, they definitely know what they are doing. Highly recommend! read more

My first choice after a long work week! The staff is kind and guarantee the relief you need.

Loved it! Mona was amazing. Not the fanciest place, but it had private rooms, the massage bed and sheets very great. I am happy to give up some fanciness for the price. Most importantly the massage was great. Will be back soon. read more

I've been here three times and have had good experiences all times. Paula is great and I really like that way she does the massages. They do use some hot stones on you and it's a table massage not a foot spa massage. If you go with your partner they will pull the curtain back so it's a couples massage. Cost is $60 and the do have a signs that recommends $20 tip for one hour massage. They have experience in Thai massage if you are into that. There is street parking and also parking in the rear as well. Bring cash otherwise it's a few dollars more for paying on a card. This spot is my current go to. read more

After having a poor experience with a masseuse, I scheduled another appointment specifically requesting someone else and they gave me the same woman. Massage feels rushed. I requested to focus on my neck and shoulders and she didn't do that. Felt like I was was just being rubbed with oil and pressure on all my bony areas. It was uncomfortable and disappointing since my past experiences here were great. Unfortunately I won't be coming here again. read more

For Thai massages you definitely need to consider it a physical therapy adjustment instead of a pamper session. Once you think of it like that, it's a GREAT adjustment. So needed! I hadn't been to a massage in 1.5 years so I had knots almost everywhere but by the end I was completely stretched out and my tension in neck, upper back and hips were all gone. It does hurt a lot in specific areas depending on how tight you are but the pain is very short as they cycle through massage/stretch/adjust. It's a combination of: - cold oil: get the muscles ready, warming up your blood flow - Stretch: moving with you and stretching your body in different ways. Can definitely hurt a little but the pain doesn't last for more than a second. You're on your stomach then on your back, and you do a varied number of stretches - massage: it's a constant flow of comfort + pushing you to relieve tension so slight pain - hot stone: in the middle of the massage, relatively quick to get blood flowing My favorite is the head and neck massage where your eyebrows and neck and head are massages to relieve stretch. They scratch your scalp thoroughly so you also relieve pressure so don't get your hair done before read more

Great spot in the valley if you ever need a total body massage! They offer combination and Thai, and my body really benefited from the Thai massage! It goes a bit deeper into the tissue. Customer service was great and they make sure that they release any tension from any areas you need work on! Heads up prices did increase a bit from $60 to $75 for a 90 min massage with hot stones. They prefer you pay with cash for the service + tip! read more

Simply Relax - New prices! - Massage Near Me - Northridge, California

Easy. to make an appointment! However, the massage left me with more to be desired. I work 12, sometimes 16 hour shifts and I leave with a lot of pain at times. I was a first time customer here today ( Thursday morning) hoping I could get some relief from neck/shoulder pain. When they did the hot stone part, I felt nails scratching on my back and it felt uncomfortable. The whole hour was rushed. I was a bit late - but I would've been okay with a shorter but still quality massage to get rid of my pain. I've noticed sometimes the best massages I have had are when the massage therapist was present and relaxed. I left with all of my knots and pain intact. No therapeutic relief for the reason I went. They were friendly, just seem a bit understaffed. read more

I just got a 60 minute full body massage with Kate. She asked if my back was hurting and I said no but my right shoulder is. She also asked if I wanted medium or hard. I said medium to hard because I hadn't had a massage in years and I had a lot of knots. She got to work on my problem area right away and gave me the level of intensity that I needed. My treatment was both therapeutic and relaxing. There were some stretches that are new to me but I went with the flow and I feel great! Kate is a skilled and experienced masseuse and I'll be asking for her again. The interior is nicely decorated, clean, and tidy. There are no rooms but the partitions have pretty curtains for privacy. You have to whisper because everyone can hear you but I think that's part of what makes it relaxing: there's very little talking. All you can hear is the calming music and your masseuse working (hard) on your body. Thank you Kate and Simply Relax for a great experience. read more

I was really excited that the massage places opened up again after 3 months of being closed. I scheduled my appt over the phone and payed 50 as soon as I got there. The signs in the desk specified to leave a 20-25 tip of gratuity. The manager led me inside and I got comfortable. Here is when things take a turn for the worse.... She comes in (same lady that rang me up btw), and starts spraying something on my arms and legs as I'm laying on my stomach. I'm like thinking, oh no, it cannot be.... It IMMEDIATELY started to sting my sensitive skin. I turn around and ask her, what did you just spray on my skin?! She says, "sanitizer." I'm like, "take it off immediately!!! I have very sensitive skin, and it's burning." She brings a wet towel and proceeds to take it off. I'm surprised she didn't drink Clorox to kill the COVID-19 like Trump had mentioned. The ignorance out there is scary and out of control. Anyway, at that point I am livid and fuming. I manage to keep my composure for the sake of the other clients (there's only curtain dividers, so you could hear everything.) She starts massaging, and starts getting calls from clients. She goes ahead and answers, talking on her earpiece. I couldn't relax at all. Then a client comes in, and she goes ahead and leaves to attend to the client. I left no tip, and I'm glad she did not have the audacity to even ask because I would've let her have it. Last time I'll be here. HORRIFIC experience. read more

Every single time I leave this place, I think "JJ did her thing!!" I wanted to gate keep her lol, but she deserves all the customers, bc she is phenomenal. We got matched 2 years ago, and I have been a steadily returning customer, bc she's that good. There hasn't been one knot, tightness or paint I have showed up with that JJ hasn't been able to work out. The place is close to home, clean and with friendly staff. Definitely give them a try! read more

The best massage I have had In a looooooooooong time!! The massage was amazing!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Excellent!! Professional, clean, responsive, reasonable prices. Couldn't recommend more. Thank you, JJ and Sandy.

I went with my friends tonight and we all made an appointment for the combination. I've been coming here quite a few times but tonight my masseuse was in a hurry. She only massage my left leg didn't do the same on my right leg and didn't do the hot stone on me which was my favorite part and my friends got it except me. I was charge the same price without it. So disappointing! I told the lady in the front after and she just said sorry and still charge me with the full price. read more

I'm giving them 3 stars cause I have mixed emotions after our experience. I booked this place to surprise my spouse for a 90 min deep tissue with hot stone massage. They have a room for couples who want to get treatment together. My experience was perfect, the masseuse hit all of my pain points and gave the best stretch I never knew I needed. I commend her for doing a great job and now I feel lighter and better. However, my partner's experience was far from mine. The first 30 min was really going well for him until a transition to a different masseuse took place without consent. He wasn't able to express his disappointment since the new one in-charge is a much older lady so he kept silent out of compassion. His major complaint was the difference in the applied pressure and technique of the first vs second masseuse as his right back was massaged better than the left and the rest of his body were handled very lightly like just mere touch. In his opinion, if the transition did not take place, he would have enjoyed it and we would go back here but I think that's not going to happen. Also, with regard to payment, please note that they collect first before service which initially I thought was a bit off but then I realize it's more convenient as you will only have to give tip to your masseuse after the session. They have a gratuity guide depending on the availed package which was displayed in the receiving area. Some things you have to know before coming here. read more

Simply Relax - Receiving area - Massage Near Me - Northridge, California

I paid 60$ for an hour full body massage. The owner (lady in front) was rushing the masseuse since they have a couple waiting for the room. In the 1st place , she was the one who put me in the couple room. They could have told the costumer to wait for 10 more minutes since that room was not ready yet. I came there to get relaxed and relieved from my bodyaches. I feel like the owner is just after the money and not really thinking of customer service. read more

Good place for couple massage! I found this place first time when I looking for affordable price massage around my area. Currently, they offer special price for couple massage during end of the year. I have been here 4 times previously and everything had gone well. They spend the first 10-15 minutes stretching you out and then the massage begins. Okay so this last time I go with my mom. And the masseuse begins 11:09am and I felt like a really long time has passed since we started and I look up to see 11:39am. A whole 30 minutes of just stretching so I say ca you start? So she begins and it was a mediocre massage at best. It is now 12:01pm and she begins to pass a wet towel on my back, lets and feet. She then asks me to turn around and she begins to squeeze my body and stretch me some more. Did I speak up! Yes I did! But she spoke no English. So the other lady steps in and I tell her as my mom is in the same room. She tells her to fix it and then she starts to squeeze my body. So i stop her again and she translates by this back and forth we have 10 minutes left. So they trade places. I am beyond annoyed because up until this point it had been a good place to take my mom. But I essentially paid 84 dollars for a 30 minute back massage and stretching. I of course can be heard complaining so they ask me to call back and speak to "lida" or Lira. I call her and explain the situation and she offers me on another date a 1 hour massage for free of cost. I take her up on it well because it was an expensive stretch. I came back today and Lida took care of me! It was exactly what I needed for my body. I am giving them 4 stars because honestly if the person is new someone should be watching and 30 minutes of stretching! Please no! Now will I be back? Not sure but at least if I do, ill ask for Lida. read more

I've been going here for quite some time. They're great. But I had an issue with something that one of the women that does the massages. At first I didn't want to mention her by name because I don't want anything to affect her or her job. Her name was Amy if I remember correctly. And she without asking me first or mentioning it. Placed these what i could only describe as medium sized icy hot patches on my back. When it came time to pay. I gave her $100. I told her. Keep $20 For yourself and the rest which was $80. I'll take. She comes back with $70. Saying..well. I put those icy hot patches on your back. Honestly. It angered me. She knew what she just did was so low, and dishonest. I told Her. I'd appreciate if next time. You first ask me if I'd like you to apply them to my back for an additional fee. Il still continue to go there because the people there are nice. But I don't care if it upsets this person if I have to say in front of her that I don't want her to helping me going forward. What she did was wrong and dishonest. Everyone else there is awesome. I'd recommend this place 100%. Amy needs to understand why what she did was wrong. You don't help yourself to a tip when you've been told how much to keep for yourself. Again. I love this place. I still do. Amy. You need to do better. You were wrong the second you put that thing on my back without asking me First. Wnat a disgusting thing to do. Again I'll still go here and yes. I'll still recommend it because everyone else here is great. And very kind and accommodating read more

The place is not relaxing and noisy. Masus constantly going in and out also you can find another person inside which violates privacy. The worst thing happened when coming home I found cash was stolen from my wallet. When I talked to manager he told me that the person helping me was a subcontractor and it's not even a regular employee. They didn't took any action. I would like to tell everyone who decides to go please don't take cash with you!!!! read more

Let me start by saying Simply Relax is simply the best hidden secret in the San Fernando Valley. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. Calling for an appointment is always so easy. They do their very best to be very accommodating. Helpful tip: There is ample parking in the back. This place is so clean and relaxing. In the back, the place is divided into different sections. So privacy and quiet are no issues at all. I feel like I'm in a 5 star spa. On to the massage, my go to person is Paula. She is absolutely amazing! Just tell her where it hurts and within seconds she finds those knots. I've had alot of massages in my life and I can tell you she has a talent of targeting those trigger points and using her magical hands to release the pain. She uses the perfect amount of strong pressure but don't be afraid to tell her if it's too much. She knows what she is doing! The best part is the incorporation of those hot stones. They truly make your body feel like you're in bliss. Bonus: the end with those Thai stretches is definitely the icing on the cake. I definitely recommend this place to everyone! If your in the valley, give this place a shot. You won't regret it! read more
