The service was fast and friendly, despite the store being busy. I love that! The barista did not rush us to choose, instead helped us newbies decide on a drink. I went with my usual cafe mocha, and it did not disappoint! My sis got the Thai Tea, and sis in law the Thai tea and a latte to try it. Everyone was happy with their choices!! Luckily, they do have a large space with lots of tables and some couches so finding a seat wasn't a problem. Their menu includes drinks and food (breakfast and lunch). My friend and I shared the BOM sandwich which comes on a Portuguese BOLO with gruyere cheese, roasted red peppers, onion, spinach, BOM sauce, chorizo, and fried egg. For our drinks I had a cinnamon crunch iced coffee with whole milk and coconut cold foam and my friend had one of the coff-tails. I took in all the artwork around the walls while I waited for our order to come out. They brought the sandwich out to us, but I went up to the counter to get the drinks. The sandwich was incredibly good, especially the BOM sauce that was a little spicy. The sausage was thick and well cooked, and the veggies tasted fresh. The bread was very good too but I wish it was slightly toasted (next time). My drink was good. It was not sweet at all, which the cashier did prepare me for, but it still tasted good to me. The milk and coconut cold foam made it very creamy and the coconut flavor was very present throughout. We paid around $20 for the sandwich and two drinks which is fair. They have a drive thru window on the left side of the building, with the line wrapping around the back of the building, with plenty of parking in the front and back for dining in.

Now, I am not a shake gal - I prefer to eat my calories - and every healthy concoction I've tried up until I stumbled upon this wondrous spot has tasted chalky, artificial, or worse. Not so at Slim Possible, whose numerous flavor offerings run the gamut from Coconut Cream Pie (when the cheerful cashier asked if I wanted an Oreo layer blended into my shake, my answer was tears of joy and a resounding HECK YES), to a convincing Lemon Poppyseed, which tastes like a liquified version of the popular cafe treat. No matter what you go with, you won't be disappointed. I'm still working my way through their massive menu, and I look forward to updating this review when I get a chance to go again. Next on my list? Cranberry-Orange! Slim Possible is nestled in a small business plaza off a main road in Middletown, and can be easy to miss while driving by. If you take the time to come here, though, you will be pleasantly surprised! Word on the street is that they're opening a sister location on Broadway in Newport within the next few months. On my most recent visit, the woman at the counter took my order and, when it was time to pay, asked for my phone number. I thought she was asking me about my rewards stamp card, so I responded, but she never acknowledged that my phone number had gone through. It turned out she was actually talking to another customer, leaving me standing there talking to myself. It felt inconsiderate and made for an awkward experience. The drinks are decent, but they're Herbalife-based products, so there's nothing particularly unique about them. Customer service and making guests feel welcome are what really set a place apart, and unfortunately that's been consistently lacking during my visits.
