With Simply Lit, their website was clear, giving good pictures and specs of each of their products. The process was all automated and I was invoiced over text and email. I was able to reserve, pay, and sign a contract all without interacting with anyone, which was a plus for me! I got the 3ft. RGB numbers and was allowed to pick up the day before my event and return 2 days after my event. The letters themselves were handmade and quality. NEVER EVER AGAIN! If I could give zero stars I would most certainly do that. First, Lauren (not sure of her role) needs some serious customer service training. Extremely rude and unfriendly. Second, due to an error, they gave me a refund - or should I say, a partial refund. They charge a "restocking fee" - you didn't take anything out of stock and I didn't take possession of anything yet there's a "restocking fee". I abhor companies that do this especially if no product or service was exchanged. And watch out - they send you an invoice requesting payment just because you do an inquiry... There are so many other vendors in Atlanta that do what they do - make sure you look around. read more

We used Simply Lit to add some décor for our daughter's bat mitzvah a few weeks ago. They provided lighting over the dance floor and "waterfall" lights on the back wall. We hadn't even thought of that originally, but wow! what a difference it made. They were so easy to work with, reasonably priced, and the effect was amazing. The wall of lights made an awesome first impression when everybody walked into the room, and they made a great backdrop to our family pictures. We would definitely recommend Simply Lit. read more

LOVE THIS COMPANY. This company is extremely easy to deal with. The first year, they came out and gave us a bid (we thought was reasonable) for installation and for purchasing the lights. We signed on, and in subsequent years they email us prior to the holiday to get us on their schedule. We leave the lights out, they install and then after the holiday, they take down and leave on our front porch. One price for installation/taking down. Easy, peasy. If any of the lights ever go out - we let them know and they come and replace. Our house looks beautiful over the holiday, it's a turnkey business and they do a great job. Highly recommend. We have several neighbors who also use this company for holiday decorating as well! (Btw, I'm not in Cartersville, I'm in East Cobb/Roswell, I'm not exactly sure why it's showing that I'm in Cartersville. I have no idea if this company does homes in Cartersville - if you are in East Cobb/Marietta/Roswell, use them for your holiday house lighting!!!) read more

The worst! Total scam artist. Charged me $1500 for only the roof line lights on my house. Said the lights were mine, they would store them till next year and only charge me labor to install next Christmas. Well guess what...not only are the lights not mine, they charged me $1500 AGAIN!! SimplyLit was easy to work with, coordinated with all my vendors perfectly, and made the evening beautiful. I got so many compliments on the lighting inside of our clear tent for our wedding day -- the picture doesn't even do it justice. The tent was part of a rain plan, and we appreciated how flexible they were in working with the tent vendor since it was our plan B to have the lights inside of the tent instead of out. We've been a customer for ten years. Introduced Shawn to our neighbor as well. This year, they changed their business model to require a deposit in order to get on their schedule. Totally respect that. Then they changed their model requiring that they store our outdoor decorations at their facility. Also good with that. We paid the $100 deposit to ensure our schedule. This year, they installed our outdoor lights in October and stated they would install the wreaths and garland at a later date. Ok with that too, kind of. I believe their growth has impacted their customer service, unfortunately. We received an invoice for an amount consistent with prior years and paid it once they completed the work. This year, it took five visits to complete the work versus one trip in the prior nine years. Then we received another invoice, apparently for the installation of our wreaths and garland - which took two visits to install correctly. Shawn and his brother are nice and have been very reliable until this year. Sad to say we will be using another service next year. Sorry to slam the five star rating, but we cannot endorse Simply Lit. This is unfortunate and should be a lesson learned on how to communicate with long-term, loyal customers. read more
