Unfortunately our experience with A-1 Tent & Party Rentals in Marietta was not a good one…read more While several issues came up during our rental, the biggest let down was damage done to our yard during a tent installation. We followed their directions very carefully and provided a diagram of our yard to the installation team. Unfortunately, the diagram was not followed and the main water line to our house was punctured, resulting in an additional $350 expense from our plumber. We are reasonable people and understand that mistakes happen, however, the only response we received from A-1 was that the owner "stands by the contract", which states they are not responsible for any damage done to the yard or property. Obviously we pushed back on this, but the owner refused to talk to us directly and only communicated to us through their manager, which sometimes took days/weeks to yield a response. The owner would not help us from a cost perspective, and would not even meet us halfway for the damage that their installation team did to our yard. In the end, there was nothing that we could do because, yes, we signed their contract. That being said, the owner may respond to this post negatively however, at this juncture that doesn't concern us - we want to let A-1's potential customers know what we experienced first hand and urge you to carefully review your contract prior to signing their rental agreement. We did not review carefully and that was our mistake - we assumed that if issues like the one we experienced arose, that the owner would address and make it right...they didn't. Even though they tout their experience as a leader in tent and party rentals, all of the burden was put on us, the customer. It isn't right, and they know it. Regardless of the contract and the additional expense of $350, we were most disappointed by the lack of empathy that A-1 showed. We will continue to share our experience with our friends and co-workers.

We needed several tents, tables and chairs to accommodate the many vendors and neighbors we were expecting from noon until 4pm. The delivery guys called the night before to confirm their delivery time of 8am the next day. The next morning, they called at 7:30 to say they were at the location. This was great because we had lots of tents to set up and in my mind, the earlier the better. We met them and gave them a diagram of the street with the locations of all the tents, tables and chairs. We then made signs to mark on the ground so that the 4 man crew knew where every tent was supposed to be placed. So far so good! So why a 1 star rating?? Well, the event was to start at noon. The delivery crew was still setting up tents at noon. Vendors were standing around waiting to set up their space. These vendors had paid for the space at our festival, and we did not have tents ready for them at the start of the festival. Out of frustration, we told them the last tent was not necessary. We had a crowd already there and we needed to focus on the event. The head delivery guy just told us to call after the event to get a refund on the tent we did not use. When we called, we were told that they could not give us a refund because they were unable to rent that tent to anyone else. Does that make sense to you? We cancelled because they did not deliver it on time! Not because we changed our mind. Moral of the story: I should have listened to the other poor review before sending the money to this company.

So guests were gathered, with no where to sit down, and one sweaty and apologetic man is dropping tables in the middle of a catered reception. Eventually this establishment stopped answering my phone calls the day of, and after this event when I tried to get them to pick up the equipment. They were also days late picking up the equipment, putting us in a bad spot with the event space. AND they charged me the full costs of the delivery fee.
