Mimi was very sweet and cordial but in the end I am severely disappointed in this service,…read moreespecially after our realtor recommended Mimi's. First, my wife was told that the premium "deep clean" was our only option because of our distance to the area she usually services--which is Alamo Ranch, just a 15-minute drive up Potranco to the house we just bought. I am still left wondering and flabbergasted about what exactly we paid for. She assured us that with the purchase of a deep clean that they "clean everything." We hired Mimi to clean the used house we purchased, which had no furniture and was to the naked eye superficially clean--ready for a walkthrough, yes, but not deep cleaned to belie the five years the previous owner lived in it. I am left to assume Mimi's crew saw that our new home was clean enough for a showing so they halfheartedly worked, thinking that someone else already did the job for them. She sent us pictures of her small crew cleaning our windows and a picture of a wet, mopped kitchen floor. But as you will see in the pictures, while the floor was likely treated with product, there was bits of trash and debris left brushed up against the edge of the floor as if the floor was mopped and all the clutter was sloppily pushed over and left uncleaned. Most disappointedly I am continually finding splotches all over the house that I have since had to clean myself and more often than not only required a gentle wipe down, which means it was never done in the first place (see pictures). In the end, we can be guaranteed Mimi cleaned our windows, mopped our small kitchen, and cleaned most of the baseboards. Does that constitute a "deep clean" in a three-bedroom, 1500 sq.ft. home? I don't believe so. Mimi, to her credit, refunded us the money that it costs to upgrade from a basic clean to her deep-clean service.

Karina's work was so exceptional that even after I was better, I still use her once a month or so to help me clean. Karina is thorough, kind, charges a very fair price, and will work with you in whatever you need, whether that is a special cleaning request or asking for a special time to come. She takes pride in her work and is great to work with. She looks out for her clients too. After a recent move-out, she thought of taking pictures and sending them to me in case the apartment complex said something was not clean. I highly, highly recommend her for your cleaning or organizing needs.

I didn't really know what I was in for when they showed up at the crack of dawn with gloves, buckets, mops and a vacuum in hand. I saw them walk in, and say a little prayer as they made the sign of the cross. They gasped when they saw the restrooms. But I left them there to tackle the dirt and grime. They were at it for hours. When I returned, it felt like I had walked into the wrong house. The place smelled heavily of bleach and limpador. I was amazed to see what my floors liked like! I forgot I had carpeting in some of those places! They cleaned this place top to bottom, chasing out the dust bunnies from every nook and cranny. I've never had this place so clean. When those maids were done, I'm sure the maids needed a strong drink after some serious decontamination time.

I am giving this service 2 stars rather than one, because of Myrna, the lady who cleaned my house…read more She actually did a decent job of cleaning. We had problems, but she really tried. Our biggest problem was communication, as she spoke very little English, so when an issue arose there was no way to address it immediately. The owner or manager, not really sure what he was, tended to be very defensive. Myrna was a very sweet lady, though. But, the problem arose when I tried to contact the owner regarding a timing conflict. I texted him to let him know we had an unexpected meeting we had to attend and would leave the front door unlocked. When we came back we realized they had not cleaned. I looked to see if they had tried to call and realized the number I texted was a landline. They had not tried to call, though. I found the card he left me, and realized there as a mobile number and called it. The young lady who answered didn't know about the text, and said they had waited half an hour and then left. I told her about the text and that the front door was unlocked for them. Finally, several days later, I heard from Jim, who said they had waited an hour and the door was locked. I explained it was not, and the other lady said they had waited half an hour. I apologized to the young lady when I spoke to her, but, Jim's attitude was extremely rude. He insisted the door was locked, obviously insinuating i was a liar. Then he said she didn't get paid for that day. Of course, my house didn't get cleaned either. i would definitely NOT recommend Texas Cleaning. Customer service is not in this man's vocabulary.
