As a contractor myself, I can be critical but the crew did a good job and now several months later, we are still happy we hired CR Master Roofing and have no problem recommending them.

I also asked for an updated estimate since house renovation could affect the number of issues that should be fixed and $$ amount and was told that they would come back to me with the date of the new estimate date. Next day they called me and told me that they could not have my job done before a month after the day they gave me a day before (so it will be two months from that day). When I asked about an estimate, it sounded like they heard about that first time. They scheduled me for almost 2 months from the day of the conversation and promised to get back on an updated estimate date again. A few days later they left me a voice mail that they would like withdraw their proposal and ask me to find another company. During my multiple conversations I was told that they cared more about roof replacement=big job=$$$ than about fixing things like in my case. If you need a roof replacement, maybe you will get a better treatment.

He identified seal failures and a few other problems on several other skylights as well (and I verified easily later-- I don't spend a lot of time staring at my ceiling ;) ). This was not a shock-- house was built in 1992 and skylights do not last forever. I did have a couple other firms come out to look at the roof and Northwest Tile Roofing was the only one which identified other real issues. Example: everyone else missed a leaking skylight in a walk-in closet; Jeremy saw it right away. The other good part is that they were fine with me sourcing the windows independently (a family friend has a window business); they still charged for installation and removal of the old windows, but that was happening regardless. Finally, the price was what you would expect for a crew of ~6 people for 2 days, but the roof did not appear to have had much if any maintenance done to it over the last 28 years. I will be hiring them for annual maintenance going forward. Great company, great employees too.

There were however, problems with returning my exterior fixtures back to the locations that they were before the project began (flag mount hose mounts, solar lights, circuit breaker box ground wire covers) I think my feedback for them for their future work, would be to take video or pictures pre and post and compare to make sure everything is cleaned up and returned as expected (so The customer doesn't have to bring it up to them). ​

They had garbage thrown all over my yard the entire time and my front covered porch looked like a homeless camp with food left there and thrown on the door leaving grease stains . They also left a microwave there for months to heat their food. Not an experience I would want to relive. Ugh.

Not only could they not stick within the timeline, but they did things so bass-ackwards that the new contractor had to redo so much of what I had been billed and paid for... for instance, before rebuilding the wall, they set the trusses. The trusses were set crooked and a couple were set backwards. Two of them broke because of the stress of being wrongly installed. They billed for full demolition, but did not complete it. They billed for clearing the crawl space and laying plastic, but it was not done. They used 2x4 for an exterior wall when code is 2'6. I could go on and on, but the biggest of all their mistakes was that they have a $30K installment that has not been used and claim they don't have to refund me. There is a lawsuit in the works. Better Business Bureau is involved. The state attorney General is aware, and waiting on others to let them know of the deceitful practices. He threatened to sue me if I gave a negative review, but the truth is something he can't defend against... His response to my complaint with the BBB: " on Thursday, July 13, 2023 The Contractor and Mrs. Johnson entered into a contract for the Contractor to provide services. The contract included a clause that stated that the entire contract amount would become due if the client stopped, slowed, hindered, or in any way prohibited the Contractor from providing work or fulfilling the Contractor's obligations. Mrs. Johnson violated this clause by refusing to provide access to the worksite, failing to provide timely approvals, making unreasonable demands, and requesting to separate from further services from the contractor. As a result, the Contractor was unable to complete the work and suffered significant financial losses. The Contractor's attorneys have reviewed the facts of the case and believe that Mrs. Johnson has violated the contract. They are currently gathering the necessary information and will be responding to Mrs. Johnson shortly with a more detailed account of the client's violations.
