I found the studio in my search for yoga classes around my house after moving to Aventura. While I…read moredidn't end up taking yoga classes, I've discovered TRX. TRX is a set of strength building exercises that essentially allow you to work with your own body weight. I love it! Oksana (the owner) is a great instructor! She explains all exercises and, if needed, shows how to do them. She also motivates and encourages. I don't think I would stick to exercising regularly (oh, don't judge me now...) if it wasn't for Oksana. I also take belly dancing classes with Yulia - she is great, very friendly and nice. The atmosphere during the classes is fun too - the instructors keep it light and enjoyable. They also have other classes which I didn't try (pole dancing, fitness, stretching etc.). The pricing is average and flexible - you choose the option that fits your needs and schedule. Overall I highly recommend checking out this studio!

Full review (9/23/21): I do NOT recommend this studio. After…read moreI posted my original review on Google earlier today, I received rude, insulting, and shaming messages from the owner Oksana on Instagram, which she since has "unsent" from the Instagram chat. Rather than trying to work with me to resolve the situation, she chose the path of unprofessionalism and shaming. This included Oksana sending a message and the screenshot of my Google review in a group chat with the other students that were in the beginners classes with me. Screenshots on this review include: Part of messages where Oksana refuses to honor the terms of the Groupon I had already purchased (yesterday); Her private messages to me shaming me (today); the terms of the Groupon. Oksana was at the studio at least one of the times I took classes and did not introduce herself to the students. The bathroom was out of toilet paper, out of soap, dirty, and really unkept (pieces of wood in the corners, no door/curtain on the AC unit closet, mop bucket right next to the toilet). I should have seen these as red flags, but I really enjoyed Marina's classes so I expected to continue being a client at the studio. This is the hardest review I have ever had to leave, as I really enjoyed Marina's classes. However, the owner of a business should never treat anyone this way. I hope this review can help avoid others being treated this way. For further clarity, Oksana refused to honor the terms as stated in the Groupon I had paid for. I was not asking for anything except to be given what I had purchased. Screenshot of the listing included in this review was also sent from me to Oksana when we were messaging, and she still refused to honor it. The Groupon I purchased stated that 1 person could purchase it up to 4 times in a 365 day period. There was nothing anywhere (including at the studio) that indicated otherwise. Not honoring the Groupon as I purchased it is unfair to the client and is not proper business practice. Forcing me to choose between getting a refund or giving it to someone else for their use is poor customer service. Original review left on Google- 3 stars (9/23/21): Took beginners classes with Marina: 5/5 stars. Marina was great. She demonstrated routines, gave individualized feedback, tailored to her students, & was encouraging but not pushy. Marina did not make the experience uncomfortable or awkward. Customer service by owner: Poor. I had purchased a second Groupon and recommended for my family to also purchase and go with me. The owner refused to honor the terms that were clearly listed on the Groupon I purchased. I was not asking for any special treatment or for anything that wasn't clearly listed on the Groupon I had paid for. The owner blamed it on Groupon for changing the listing without permission, but refused to make a one-time exception based on the terms of the Groupon I had already purchased. She basically offered me an ultimatum of requesting a refund from Groupon or having a family member use my Groupon. I respect, understand, and support small and local businesses. However, it is unfair to treat the client as if they are in the wrong for something that is beyond their control... Especially when they are supporting and recommending your small business.

It was a little hectic when I got there since there were several kids and teenagers coming out of class but once they were all done we were directed to the red room for the hip hop class. Keyara, the instructor, was welcoming and explained all the steps really well. She started with warm up and stretching and included some fitness components. I was expecting more dancing and Keyara delivered for the second part of the class. The class is described as hip hop fitness so it makes sense that she includes some strength movements before the actual dance. We learned a short choreography and practiced several times until we felt comfortable. I had so much fun!

In addition to pole and aerial, they have an Inversion Series specifically designed to build the strength and technique needed for climbs, tricks, and inverts, as well as dedicated pole conditioning classes. Not many studios offer these types of supplemental classes, and they've made a noticeable difference in my progress. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind. They create an encouraging environment where everyone, regardless of skill level, feels supported. The other students are just as welcoming, which makes the studio feel like a true community instead of just a place to work out. I ended up getting a membership because I saw the value almost immediately, and it's been completely worth it. If you're serious about improving your pole skills while being surrounded by positive, supportive people, I highly recommend Vertical Addicts.

The teachers are very talented and demonstrate a positive balance between fun and discipline that makes for great dancers, musicians and students. My daughter attended Inna's Hall of Fame for 2 years during the time we lived in Florida. She developed her dance skills becoming part of the Performance Team (we love Mrs. Lisa) and participated in Community showcases. She learned to play piano with group/private lessons and scored "Superior" in 2 National competitions. Amazingly she learned how to act and loves it! Made it to be the main role in the Dr. Dolittle musical this summer. Nevertheless, she was always in art classes and enjoyed all of it. I highly recommend Inna's Hall of Fame and wish we could have a similar program now in Long Island, NY

NAGO Academy is a gem just outside of Aventura. I saw wonderful things from their summer camp from…read moreother friends who had their children attend over the years. The dancing and capoeira were great but what drew my attention the most was what Ruben and Tamara brought to the children through social guidance, teaching team building and friendship, respect for one another, and respect for cultivating our community. They truly love each and every one of the children that step through the doors and treat each child as if they were their own. When my daughter was old enough to attend she was initially very shy. She wanted to dance but only wanted to go once a week. Tamara was very loving and helped build her confidence. Just a month later my daughter was begging to attend twice a week, and then every single day after school and the ballet class they have on the weekend too! The classes are phenomenal. They teach technique, creative exploration of each child's unique style, and also they are very big on cultivating an atmosphere where the children encourage and support one another. It's a beautiful thing to walk into a studio and the older kids are there to help, support, and nurture the younger ones - all on their own accord, not because they're there for 'hours' or because someone is telling them to help. The dynamic and respect for one another at NAGO Academy is similar to something you might find at a high-end Jujutsu School. I highly value and appreciate the way that the Staff teach and approach the kids. My daughter has attended another very highly rated dance school in the area. After attending their weekly 'show' for the parents during summer I immediately pulled her from that camp. It was really putting dancing and expression to shame. I won't get too into that other location, but it made me appreciate everything NAGO does even more. They say you never know how good you've got it until you've lost something and it's very true in this case. The End of the Year, and End of the Summer, Showcases are out of this world. Truly mind blowing the work that they put into this and how much fun the kids have preparing for it. It's a lot of hard work but I love that they teach the kids confidence and they want to work hard because they've cultivated a love and respect for their art, their teammates, and their Teachers. We recently moved and my daughter has not wanted to attend any other dance studio because NAGO was THAT good! We are about 45 minutes away and making the drive for incredible experience is 100% worth it. You simply cannot find a better after school dance, capoeira, hip-hop, or ballet class or summer camp for your little one!

Now here we are, a year later! She felt welcome from the very start. We were looking for a studio that really focused on technique and development, and we found so much more. Our daughter has grown incredibly - in strength, technique, performance, and confidence. Teddy, Luke, and the entire staff have created something truly special here - their passion for dance transfers to the dancers they teach. They challenge our daughter and make her dig deep within herself but do so in a way that is supportive, builds her confidence, and makes her want to work even harder. Our daughter has pushed herself well beyond comfort zone, and this studio creates a safe environment for it. Classes are structured to include conditioning and technique in addition to choreography. They focus on the best interest of the dancer and their individual development. I also appreciate how selective and intentional they are in the environments they choose for Company and Conservatory opportunities- they surround the dancers with others who appreciate dance as the art form it is, which continues to foster our daughter's passion for it in a way that motivates and inspires, but without the "hyper-competitive atmosphere" (which is hard to balance in South Florida!) We want to foster our daughter's long-term love of dance and finally found where we belong. And in addition to the studio itself, our daughter has made wonderful friendships there - I can honestly say all the dancers and their parents made us feel right at home. Probably because all the parents are looking for the same thing for our dancers! It is truly a whole-of-family approach. Parents will also appreciate the studio being clean, organized, and well appointed. Studio management communicates clearly and regularly. And I love that they have lockers, a fridge, microwave, water fill-up station, and a lounge area - dancers have long and rigorous days. It just shows you how they focus on creating an overall environment that helps dancers thrive. We couldn't be happier being at TAME - excited for year two!
