I have gutters and fascia boards replaced last month. Joey did an excellent job. He was extremely hardworking and professional with lots of experience. I was impressed when he was checking the condition of our roof right above the damaged fascia board and put metal boards in between the roof and the board to help avoid future rain damage with no extra charge. He gave attention to details of the gutters and boards when painting, which resulted in a better finish/look than the original one. A warranty is also offered. Was looking around for a company that does rain gutter installations and is licensed and bonded. I reached out to Simply Gutters on a weekend and started chatting with someone on Yelp. I agreed to have Simply Gutters come out on a Monday afternoon for an estimate. I met with Joey (who happened to be the owner) and he gave me an estimate that I could not refuse. He was very knowledgeable and explained the whole process of installing the rain gutters. I agreed on a color combination that matched the paint of my house. I asked if he had availability on Saturday and it just so happened that he did. We agreed on a start time and he said the job would take between three to four hours. On the day of the installation, he arrived on time (I was his first customer). He showed me the materials and the color that we agreed upon. Our color choice was spot on and my wife was thrilled with the colors. The installation process went smoothly and Joey made sure he cleaned around the areas where he did work. Joey is very meticulous and just an overall "great" guy. My wife and I were very pleased with his work and how things turned out that in appreciation, we decided to provide him with lunch. I reached out to Joey on 3/13 about redesigning a portion of a previous gutter install and adding a downspout that we initially could not do due to a gate in the way. He provided me with a quote, and I advised him I would reach out to schedule a service date once I had the gate repositioned. On 4/1, I texted him again, and we scheduled an appointment for 4/28. On 4/27, I texted and confirmed the appointment. Joey responded and confirmed the appointment was still on. Additionally, he texted he messaged me when he was 30 minutes away. The morning of our appointment at 6:22 am, I received a message from Joey that he needed to reschedule due to an emergency that suddenly came up. We rescheduled for the following Monday, 5/1. On the morning of the rescheduled appointment at 6:38 am, I received a message that he could not complete the job due to last night's rain and today's lingering rain. I responded shortly after and received no response. I then sent another message on 5/2 and received no response. On 5/3, I finally received a response, and we again rescheduled a new appointment for 5/12. He said he would make me his first stop and arrive between 7 - 8 am. Again he advises he will text when he is 30 minutes away. 5/12 arrives, and I don't hear from Joey. At 7:51 am, I messaged him to ask when he would arrive. I got a message about 35 minutes later that he was waiting for a delivery and would head over when he finished. I responded by asking for an ETA (estimated time of arrival), and as of two hours after sending the message haven't received a response. The last message I sent shows "Read 10:28." As of 12:30 pm, no response, eta, or explanation I attempted to call the listed company's telephone number and left a message to inquire about today's appointment, and I did not get a callback. I also called Joey to see what was happening and received no answer twice. Oddly enough, during my first install, he had an emergency during the middle of the job that delayed the completion of the installation. I understood because he advised it was a family emergency. Sudden emergencies that cause delays or appointments to be rescheduled appear to be common, at least in my experience. Timely responses to business inquiries also appear to be common based on my experience and other reviews. I would not recommend Simply Gutters based on my follow-up experience. read more
