Simply Clean gets my highest recommendation! We hired Keely in 2010 to clean our home on a regular basis, after a long list of incompetent housekeepers from other companies (who sent over countless different people, charged for more time than they spent cleaning, stole prescription meds, stopped showing/answering calls suddenly etc). Now I wish we had hired her WAY sooner than that, because Keely and her employees were fantastic in every way. They charged us a set rate rather than by the hour (I felt better about that because I didn't have to deal with cleaning ladies stretching out the time and then charging you lots, as has happened to us before), always did an excellent job getting everything spotless (which was a challenge in our 100+ year old rental house from IU Real Estate, which got treated harshly by previous undergrad residents), and I enjoyed chatting with her too. We just relocated to another state for work, so we had Keely do a final move out cleaning, and we got our ENTIRE deposit back, which is a first for us after 12 years in 12 different rental houses/apartments. In short, we've hired about 7 or 8 different cleaning companies in the last couple of years and this is easily the only company about which I have no complaints whatsoever. Our only regret is that she can't come work for us in Oregon, where we've found a cleaning lady who's good but chats nonstop about her personal drama haha. A bonus: Keely's husband (I forget his name, I haven't met him) apparently does carpet cleaning. Our house had no carpets though, only ancient wooden floors, so I can't review that service, but it's good to know I guess! read more

This company continues to serve my clients on a regular basis because they are very thorough! We love Simply Clean.

Our family used this business for the first time in July (2016) and did not have a positive experience. We had no luck in negotiating an agreement to make up for the many things left undone or done half-way. Countertops were not cleaned At All. Toilet bowls were very clearly partially scrubbed inside. All tile floors were at most spot swept (dust and dirt very apparent) and not mopped whatsoever. Laundry room appeared to not have been entered and all items were in exact original positions. The same foot prints still appeared on this floor as well. When called, the owner claimed the countertops were thoroughly cleaned when asked the first time about it, even though we could still see crumbs over all the countertops as well as spills. Additionally cleaning had not been done around the base of any household faucets (including bathrooms) which were clearly due for a clean around the bases of the faucets and kitchen sprayer. The owner offered no apologizes but only said "maybe a dirty rag was used" after it was insisted that the countertops had Not been cleaned as the owner claimed. Keep in mind the cost is per job (well) done, not hourly where another hour or two could have allowed for the full cleaning to be accomplished. One would think a company would want to work with a client and to keep the client. We do not recommend this company for house cleaning. read more

As a renter for most of my life, and a busy graduate student, I've come to accept the fact that A) I hate cleaning and B) not cleaning lessens my quality of life, increases the amount of goddamn cat hair strewn around the place, and decreases the likelihood I'll get my full deposit back. I've used Keely and Simply Clean since I moved to Bloomington in 2012 (almost 5 years now), and I couldn't be happier with them. I have a monthly cleaning schedule at a set rate. Maybe I need to get more excitement in my life, but nothing is more satisfying than coming home on cleaning day after a long day at work and having the place be spotless. My cat and I now have a whole month to make it gross again! Keely is always super accommodating if I need to change cleaning day or skip a month. I'll be moving (in town) in August and you can be sure I'll be taking Simply Clean with me. read more
