I got a call from Neil whose father started the business 30 years ago. He apologized and asked for details. I told him I appreciated the call and would amend my review. He said that was necessary as that is the point of reviews and they messed up. In our conversation, I mentioned that ADT was not scheduled for another week when I am back in town. He asked if he could come over and speak with me about my services. He apologized, discussed my service with me and I chose to renew my agreement with Atronic. They came out today (10/13) to get me hooked back up and I had some requests that they accommodated. I appreciate a local company that takes pride in their work and is not too proud to prove themselves again and ask for your business. ___________________________ This review is more about the service than the product. I moved to KC three years ago and the home I bought had Atronic. I contacted them and continued the service. I wanted to do business with them since they are local and not go with someone like ADT. I switched to Google Fiber 9 months ago and got rid of my land line phone. My security system would not work without the land line. I called and there were some expensive wireless hook up charges and in addition, the monthly fee went up $10 a month. I asked to have the set-up waived since I was a current customer. They would not do it. I decided to cancel service since I never use it. 9 months later I decide I want to re-activate my service. I call them to arrange it and they no longer charge the set-up fee, but the increased monthly fee. Fine. I am told I will get a call with someone to arrange it. Three weeks later I have not heard from anyone. I call back and am told that a form was emailed to me and they were waiting to get it back....from three weeks ago. I never received it. They sent another and it went into my Junk folder, but I was watching for it this time. In those three weeks, I had a call from ADT and went through a quote process with them. It was a better deal, much better actually, and I said no because I wanted to keep it local. Atronic is now waiting on me to fill out a new form (never mind I was already a customer and they have one on file) and they will get me on a service call list once I return it. ADT offered to have a Service Technician out the next day if I would sign up with them. Hello, ADT! Where have you been all my life? If you want to give your money to a company that wants it, I would suggest looking elsewhere. There are other local options.

Further, why 3 year contracts when they don't pay for the equipment...they charge the customer up front.

Not knowing that a Ring would not be the best way to secure my home, I was educated by one of their sales consultants in a way that was informative. Sometimes when you have sales folk trying to sell you something it doesn't seem solid and genuine. My system is what I needed and is extremely affordable. Installers did a terrific job of being efficient and non-intrusive. Definitely recommend.

I then cancelled my service with CSG. They cancelled my business account correctly, but after I jumped thru the hoops to cancel my home account I find that they have been still billing me for the last year. They even auto renewed my contract for another year even when their system showed they were not connected to my security system any longer. In reviewing my bank account I finally noticed that I have been paying $30.45 for the last year. I contacted them to handle the matter and they stated they never received my e-mail and that I needed to send it again and they would not credit me back any of the paid amounts. I called Teague to have them look at a wired smoke detector I thought I had a problem with. When…read morethey arrived, the electrician said it was not a smoke decor wired to the security system, and he could not fix it. He did nothing more than look at it, then walked out. Came back few minutes later saying the charge was $125. ( You should know that Teague installed the wiring, smoke detectors and security system in the house when it was built.) After paying and thinking about what they charged me, I called the Teague office to discuss it. When I called, I was told the manager had just stepped out, but the receptionist said he would call me back when he came back. He never called back. If they came out and found a problem, and I decided not to have them repair it, I could see them charging me for the service call. But coming out, looking at it and telling me they could not work on it, and then charging me $125, I think is a poor business practice. They put the system in, so obviously they could work on it. And then not calling me back, another poor business practice. I will not call them again, they obviously have no concern for their customers, they only care about how much money they can get out of them. If you need an electrician, call elsewhere and get someone you can trust to do the work, not walk away with your money.
