I really enjoy the fact that its smaller and you don't feel like you are working out with the masses of humanity. There are always a variety of machines and equipment available no matter what time I have gone in. The gym is always super clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly. I do have a membership at Lifetime fitness and while I was happy with the amenities I didn't see any trainers there that I considered particularly inspiring. Enter Power Fitness Studios and owner/head trainer John Chambliss. I went in for a brief consultation and realized after just a couple minutes that I had found my guy. I have been going for over a month and have yet to miss a workout. For me that is unbelievable. The reason is that no two workouts have been the same. That is extremely important to me because if I get bored I tend to lose interest. I know that from the multiple times I have given up at previous gyms in the past. In five weeks I have lost 15 pounds and feel so much better than I have in the past. Not only will John get you on the right track as far as fitness goes, he is also a certified nutritionist. The building is always clean and smells great despite being a gym where everyone is sweating. We've had some financial hiccups (covid2020) and they were happy to pause our account without charging!! We are moving and thus leaving the gym as it'll be way too far and they simply cancelled the account with no fees no bargaining of any kind. Low pressure, clean environment and all around great gym! Highly recommend!!

It's small...has no track/spa/pool/sauna…read more Has free {mediocre barely babysitting} childcare {infants to age 10} which is why I joined plain and simple, plus it's only 8 min from my house. They have decent equipment both cardio and weight training...but when things break they can be slow to repair. There is a women's only area. They have classes and tanning rooms - I have used neither. One free training session a month as a paid member...any other training sessions have to be paid for and are not cheap. The showers are not cleaned/sanitized as thoroughly as they should be. I did an "experiment" once with a strand of my hair one morning. I specifically left it on the wall not far from the faucets. After five days and it had not been removed I went to the office to ask why they were creating such a potential health hazard. They assured me it would be taken care of, but since then the number one complaint I hear from other women's conversations in the bathroom is just how unpleasant the *one* shower stall is.
