Working with Simple Elegance was easy and pleasing. We thoroughly went through each detail of our wedding dinner and finally they offered us a very good deal. The food was delicious, healthy and looking beautiful. The service was exceptionally satisfying. The servers worked hard, they were cheering and smiling. Also they accommodated the change in schedule very professionally. read more

We used them for our second time (kid's communion lunch) this past weekend. Food was great again, unfortunately they forgot to pick up the dishes this time. Our contract says pick up would be at 3PM last Saturday (day of the event), it's Tuesday, 8 PM now. We were at work during the day Monday and Tuesday, and my parents, who flew in for the communion, waited all day both days for them to pick up. It was a waste of two full vacation days for them. I called the company after I got home from work today around 3; they apologized, said they forgot and they would pick up tomorrow. My backyard has been uninhabitable for my visiting family because of the stink and flies caused by the leftover food. read more

Simple Elegance Catering just assisted us with the catering for a Celebration of Life for our mother/mother-in-law. They were wonderful during the entire planning, execution, serving, bar-tending and clean-up. We received so many compliments about the food and presentation. We have used Simple Elegance previously and continue to be so pleased and grateful for their wonderful service. We highly recommend them and will continue to use them whenever we can. read more

Delicious brunch food, reasonable prices, but day of service could use some work. Planning: We hired Simple Elegance to cater a post-wedding brunch in April 2011. Traci & Mara, our main contacts prior to the event, were super responsive and great to work with. To help us decide which caterer to go with, we went to Ruggie's Restaurant for a tasting, and they let us order anything we wanted on the menu. How could we say no after that? ;) Food: Their brunch food was yummy! We went with a very traditional brunch buffet - scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, sausage, bacon, and a variety of quiche with coffee and juices. Everything was delish. Price ended up being about $30 per person including food, rentals, & service charges. Day of service: Everything started off well, a little late, but that was likely our venue's fault. We had some last minute changes to our table count, but our day of contact Holly was really flexible and made it work. My two gripes were 1) Holly started packing up the food halfway through the 2-hour brunch so guests who arrived late couldn't eat from the buffet, and 2) One of the servers was really rude and told us (the hosts who were paying her!) to get out of her way because we were blocking the doorway. read more

Simple Elegance Catering deserve five stars because they made my party so wonderful! On 7/27, Saturday, I had a BBQ party at my house with 45 guests. It's a party for all my family members to meet my first grandson. The catering team arrived on time at my house. They prepared and set up everything so nicely in the backyard of my house. I hired the BBQ cook and server, they were very nice, fun & professional! I don't have to worry to cook and serve, i just relax and entertain all guests. Food were so delicious! All the guests enjoyed the food and service very much and they all said i made the right choice to use Simple Elegance Catering. I am very delighted and have to thank you Traci, the catering manager. She is wonderful, professional and easy to work with. I will certainly use them again in the near future and i highly recommend Simple Elegance Catering to you if you're looking a catering for your next event. Thank you Simple Elegance Catering for making my party so wonderful and memorable! read more

The food and service for our party were wonderful. Planning through clean up went without a hitch. Arrived early and were always one step ahead. The were very flexible in our planning. Highly recommend. read more

SE did a wonderful job on our event! Planning is difficult these days, and they were very easy to communicate with as we worked out an outside dinner for 50 people during the changing safety rules. The set up was beautiful and the food was delicious. We will definitely use them again! read more

We have just used this company for my husband and my 60th birthday party. We had a pre-tasting for the appetizers and mains which was good to do! The food was excellent and the tri-tip was delicious on the night and the next evening for leftovers! We also had chicken piccata, potatoes and vegetables and salad. Everything about the food was fantastic and so worth recommending to everyone!! Everyone was complimentary on the food but also the servers who were there helping and clearing and were almost invisible! The two ladies on the bar were brilliant and kept everyone going! The room was cleared and empty at the end of the evening so quickly, I highly recommend this company for excellent food and service! read more

I Threw my wife a 40th Birthday party. Called a catering company I had used before. Too many hoops to jump through. They didn't take credit cards. They wanted the money up front. Wife suggested Elegance Catering. WOW was I impressed! Dropped off tables. Set up food (the owner even stopped by to make sure everything was good).. The server was very nice and also handled the bar tending. The guests loved the food and my wife didn't have to do a thing. I'm definitely using them again, read more

This is hands down the best catering company I have worked with. I found them a few months ago when I needed help supplying a friend and her family dinners throughout her cancer treatment. Although it was a request out of the ordinary, when this team heard why I was providing these dinners and the special instructions necessary to make this work, they didn't hesitate. To top it off, they went way beyond to make each meal amazing and even made sure breakfast was included for the next day for this busy family. I can't say enough incredible things about the service and the food! They are just the best!!! read more

Traci and here very capable staff helped us celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. Traci was extremely easy to work with during the planning stages; offering many delicious options for our party of 50; matching linen colors; and even showing up at a pre-meeting at our venue to make sure she knew the lay of the land. Her three staff members were fabulous. Their setup, service, and cleanup were seamless. This sounds very much like Simple Elegance simply met our expectations. Not true. They exceeded them. We would not hesitate to use them for another event. read more

We had our 10th wedding anniversary party and couldn't prepare the food ourselves as we recently moved into a home whose kitchen is about 60 yrs old and not terribly functional... We were absolutely thrilled with the service and food that Simple Elegance provided. They proposed a menu that met our need for variety (we went with lots of small plate/finger food), arrived extra early, and ran a smooth operation the whole evening. We also had the team staff an outdoor bar... our guests loved the food and the service. The team was so gracious, professional, and charming as well. Thank you. read more

We recently worked with Simple Elegance for a wedding reception and their full service catering was truly full service. Aside from having great food and great service their attention to detail is what separates them from other caterers. I've worked with many Bay Area caterers and Simple Elegance exceeded expectations with their attentiveness to my guests. Their staff took care of all the details of my event and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. If you'd like to sample their food and great service head to their restaurant The Growler. You so t be disappointed. read more

I have worked with Traci in the past when she was at Ruggies in San Ramon, when the catering (Simple Elegance) worked out of the back of the restaurant. We always received the best service from her with yummy sandwiches and salads, ready to go when I picked up. They have moved and now we will use their delivery service. Recently I was pressed for time and needed to order lunch for the office. Traci had accomplished the feat of getting us lunch for our office lickity split. I owe her! Traci Coulson, the catering manager is really easy to work with, and is willing to work with the customer. This customer really appreciates her willing to make this lunch happen! They are very busy catering company, but Traci made the time to work with us. This catering company deserves more than the 5 stars indicated above. Traci is a rock star! read more

Wonderful food and service for reasonable prices!! We have used Simple Elegance for 2 events and both were outstanding. Most recently, was my son's college graduation party. The food was excellent with generous portions--and I am big eater too. We had chicken with poached pears, and raisins, and also beef tri-tip with bordelaise sauce. So yummy. The tri tip and chicken were both so tender and tasty. All the sides including the rice pilaf, pasta, caesar salad, and greens with mandarin oranges were delicious too. Worked with Traci who was so pleasant with arranging everything. She had great suggestions for the menu and table cloth colors. My guest count kept on increasing even until the last day (college students don't often plan in advance!) Traci was so great to work with. From delivery of party tables, and chairs, to the food set up everything went so smoothly. Everyone was prompt and was there at my home to set everything up either early or definitely on time so I didn't have to worry about anything. I can't say enough about how nice and great to work with their servers are too--Kathi and Amber. So organized, and prompt. Simple elegance is a wonderful catering service. I love working with them. They are dependable, organized, prompt and so pleasant to work with. I will definitely have my next event catered by Simple Elegance in the future and would HIGHLY recommend Simple Elegance to anyone who wants great food, great service, at great prices!! read more

We have used Simple Elegance Catering twice and have been 100 percent satisfied. Food and wait staff are outstanding. We did one of the BBQ dinners and the trip-tip, pasta salad, beans, chicken, bread exceptional! Reasonably priced also. Would use them again without hesitation. read more

We decided to host an impromptu neighbor holiday cheer get together. I looked for caterers in our area in hopes that someone could handle our last minute request. Simple Elegance was more than accommodating in every way. We received rave reviews about the food from our guests. Our bartender was exceptional. Not only did he tend to our guests' requests, but he unobtrusively cleaned up empty glasses and appetizer plates. I can highly recommend them from our experience and look forward to our next opportunity to work with them. read more

Simple Elegance catered our Grand Opening event for our new office for LifePlan Lawyer. They created a menu that was delicious, with hot hors d'oeuvres, a veggie tray and dip and a dessert tray. The food was magnificent! Our friends and clients loved it. Despite our small space, they made it work for set up. Everything was beautifully displayed including cards telling the name of each dish. The next day they came and took it all away. It couldn't have been easier. We would definitely recommend Simple Elegance for your next party. read more

Traci at Simple Elegance is very nice. Simple Elegance is affiliated with the restaurant Ruggie's. The food was good but not very impressive. They seemed happy to make accommodations to our tastes, and their prices are very reasonable. I think ti would have been helpful if Traci had sat down and discussed the details of the wedding more than mainly just discussing the food. We decided to go with a different catering company. read more

I worked with Traci to organize a backyard post wedding party for my daughter and son in law who had a small destination wedding in Hawaii. We chose the Hawaiian menu and linen colors to reflect a Hawaiian theme. Traci came to my house to evaluate the venue and had many ideas on how to pull off a great event, from flowers to table arrangements. On the day of the event the food was delicious and beautifully set up buffet style in addition to appetizers that were either at a table or passed around. The coconut shrimp was a hit!!! We had Joe as a bartender and he was fabulous. We also hired 3 servers who worked very hard and did a great job taking care of the table settings, food preparations and all the needs of our guests. We left all the responsibilities to the team from Simple Elegance catering so we could enjoy our guests and everything went smoothly and professionally. They did an excellent job in every way and I received many compliments on the wonderful food and drink served at the party and on the great service from the Simple Elegance team. I would hire them again for any party I may have for delicious food and service excellence. Thank you Traci and everyone at Simple Elegance who helped make our celebration so memorable and enjoyable. read more

Traci and Chef Dave helped create a magical experience for my wife and I's 30th anniversary of our first date. The food was superb, with the filet and salmon cooked perfectly and served at just the right time. The way Traci talked with me about the event to the way she gave me a systematic way in which to achieve what I was looking for made for a helpful way in making the night a success. I could not speak more highly of this company and the food they serve. They were incredible. read more

Not only was the booking and planning a breeze, they quickly stood out from all local catering businesses I contacted by a fast and detailed response, as well as competitive price. They were flexible when I changed the final count. The delivery was prompt, set up and pick up the next day very convenient. The food was delicious and all my guests raved about the beef dish! I will definitely use Simple Elegance again. read more

We just had the MOST incredible party hosted by Simple Elegance Catering. From the start they had everything handled. Traci was the most amazing coordinator of EVERYTHING. From the second I called in just to find out about them, she was totally organized and answered every question I had and asked several of her own to make sure she had every detail worked thru. Then came the actual party night. They setup, to perfection, the tables, chairs, the tableware and then moved onto the centerpieces that we brought. The schedule and the food came out which was all completely on point. They kept the schedule on track, if you've hosted a party you know this is no easy task, and brought every course out quickly and efficiently. They helped with cake cutting and then followed up by packaging up all the kids left over foods with KIDS NAMES on their take home packages! Truly, every person from Simple Elegance that we had the pleasure of working just incredible, caring and flexible! They met every need of everyone at the party and were just simply delightful! Can't wait to have another party with them. read more

Unimpressed by recent catered meal. Hors d'oeuvres just so-so, main course beef way overdone and dry, dessert not as described and insufficient coffee for the table in the never-refilled carafe. read more

We just hired Simple Elegance catering to do our son's wedding July 29, 2011. We had contracted with them before on a school event, so I knew their food was tasty. But how would they be catering a 200 person wedding on a site with no kitchen?? They were just as wonderful as could be!! The staff worked with our wedding coordinator, Kristy Nolan of Kristy Nolan Events, and she said they were very accommodating especially in trying to work within our budget. They did everything they said they would and set up, served and cleaned up without a hitch! But the food! Glorious!! The chicken with sun-dried tomatoes, their signature dish, was so moist and delicious, as were the other dishes we chose. A delightful experience! With weddings being as stressful as they are, it was SO NICE not to have to worry about the caterer! I can't say enough about the staff and food. Try them yourselves! read more

Simple Elegance catered an event for us in October and we couldn't be happier. I had been a guest at a brunch Simple Elegance catered and thought the food excellent. We received wonderful guidance in menu selection for our fundraiser, and they were very open to me providing some of my own food. This was an upscale event featuring premium wines. The guests were thrilled with the food and especially loved the smoked salmon and beef tenderloin medallions. Simple Elegance stepped in at the last minute to help out, even though they were fully booked that weekend. You never would have guessed they were pushed. Molly, the caterer, arrived early and worked so well with our volunteers; she was so organized. If you are looking for a caterer, don't hesitate. Simple Elegance is an excellent caterer and they are such good people. read more

Wow. I was thrilled with the catering Simple Elegance provided for my daughter's baby shower. They assisted me in my menu choices and patiently advised me through the adjustments I made. They were responsive and professional all the way. The food was incredible. The server was a doll and she decorated the serving area and displayed the food beautifully. Everyone at the shower, women and men of all generations, raved about the food. A little wine on our part and a lot of love and it was great shower. I would recommend Simple Elegance to anyone for any event with food. read more

Simple Elegance provided catering for my son's wedding. I can't say enough good things about them. The experience was a pleasure from beginning to end. They accommodated our needs and did a tasting at a time not normally available due to the bride and groom coming in from out of town. We chose an Italian theme for the wedding. The food was outstanding and received rave reviews from our guests. The women who came to do set up, serve, and then clean up were amazing. They were professional, warm, caring, helpful, flexible, and thoughtful. Five stars are not enough for this business! I recommend them without hesitation. read more

We had Traci and her crew cater our son's wedding in our yard for 55 people. We were on a serious budget and they worked to find great food within our price point. The food was Great and beautifully presented!!! The butternut squash ravioli was so good and there was nothing left of the truffle infused mac & cheese!! It was a rainy rainy day and the sun broke out just before the ceremony making things rather chaotic. As a result of the rain, they couldn't set up as early as we all wanted to. I was a little panicked. The Simple Elegance team that came to the house was so calm, fast and professional. They quickly and quietly set up the tables during the ceremony once the rain stopped. The tables looked beautiful. They Saved the Day!!! Our son and new daughter-in-law loved the food and had a wonderful experience. Thank you so much. I'd recommend Simple Elegance over and over for any event. They were terrific!! read more

We used Simple Elegance for my daughters wedding. We had planned the wedding in just two months and were so happy we found this caterer. They had sample menu's to choose from which we really appreciated since we do not do this often and we found exactly what we were looking for. Traci was very thorough with all the details involved and helped us get on track. We did not have a chance to sample the food prior to our event (though it was offered) but dined at the Growler across the street which is owned by them and where the food comes from. The day of the wedding everything was delicious. We had two servers who were very pleasant to work with. They came and set up an appetizer table outside for after the ceremony just as we had planned, then set up our buffet. The Caprese Skewers appetizer with mozzarella, tomato and basil were delicious and a huge hit. Everything went as planned to help make for my daughters perfect day. I would definitely use them again. read more
