Cute place, friendly staff, didn't spin the screen for a tip. Unfortunately for almost $6, the Nitro cold brew they advertise was totally flat, and tasted like yesterday's burnt hot coffee, but cold. The barista said that is how its supposed to be. I always search out local coffee spots, but they don't seem to realize a DD is a block away and has better coffee than them! read more

This little place is all right. If Yelp allowed us to leave half stars, I would give would give them a 3 1/2. I always round up so they get a 4. It is clean and the decor is cute. There's a free private parking lot and the place is located conveniently on the main street in Mendham. The coffee is OK. If I am in the area, I plan on stopping by again but I would not go out of my way to come here. The poundcake is very good, fresh and moist. The chocolate chips in it have a good flavor. The space is super small and with just six customers and two people working, I was feeling closed in and claustrophobic. There is no music playing and no one was talking, so the vibe felt off to me. It was kind of eerie. Also, the two young ladies working there were aloof and never smiled or said anything beyond what was necessary. They did not greet any customers or respond to my " thanks have a great day!" as I left. read more

Super cute spot for coffee. Very friendly staff. The cafe is clean and has a few tables inside with some outside. They have some very unique coffee drinks and smoothies. A latte and croissant was around $7 which I think is reasonable. Plenty of parking! Definitely recommend if coming through Mendham. read more

Tried Simple Coffee last year and enjoyed the coffee, but the seating was limited. They have since renovated and added a nice, comfortable seating area. I really appreciated the newer parking lot on the side of the building. The coffee here is very good and the employees are very friendly. What a nice alternative to chain coffee shops! read more

Watch out--when we used the address listed on Yelp, it took us to a random house on the other side of the town. I tried to edit the address but we'll see if it goes through. But about the shop itself. The coffee is tasty and the staff are friendly; however, there's nowhere to sit and enjoy your coffee. I mean, yes, there is a place to sit, but it's 2 feet away from a blender and people seem to come here solely for their frozen drinks, so except if you really, really enjoy the sound of a powerful blender in your ear, there's nowhere to sit. I'd pick up coffee to go from here any time. read more

Just moved in next door to Simple Coffee and is that ever dangerous because it is SO good. We have already been several times! I love their iced coffee, in my opinion much much better than what you can get at Starbucks or Dunkin. Their scones are delicious too. And, the staff is so friendly. Absolutely recommend!! read more

As someone who works in health in wellness environment I am always with my eyes open looking for risks Anyway ! The person who prepared my smoothie, unpleasantly took my request not to put OJ on my smoothie . I explained "" I can't have sugar " Instead of demonstrate any customer service approach . Barrista was rude and did not respond after greeting her. Ordered 2 vanilla lattes with almond milk and witnessed her pouring whole milk into the drinks. Asked her about the milk and she unapologetically fixed the order. Would've brushed it all off, but the drinks were flavorless and tasted like water-downed coffee. Poor customer service. read more

I drove past this place on the way to Chester, and told myself this looked like a place I needed to make a stop at sometime in the future. I have been looking for a small, locally owned coffee shop and this resembled the great ones located in Ithaca, NY. This has so far been the closest to my college town coffee and I am so happy to have stumbled upon it. Strong espresso, polite Customer Service, And Oh yeah ... Beautiful Baristas. What's not to like? Well the drip coffee actually, which I find has very little bite. Think of it as the Anti-Starbucks which over roasts their beans and is often way too acidic. The problem here there is just the opposite. I've been a regular at Simple Coffee since 2018. Every month I noticed the quality diminishing. I ordered a blueberry scone and the girl at the counter used the same tissue to grab my pastry as the man in front of me. Sometimes when ordering my latte the milk tastes funny like it's about to expire. The bathroom is always filthy with toilet paper all over the ground and the garbage always full. The staff used to be so pleasant and now I don't even get a greeting when I walk in. I order and they just place the drink on the counter. I miss Olivia working there she always made conversation with me and made me feel welcome. I don't feel as though I'll be returning anytime soon. The drinks aren't well made and the atmosphere is disgusting. read more
