Today proved yet again why I trust them completely. I've had a sensor light on for over a year and always assumed the sensor itself was broken because another shop couldn't fix it. When I finally brought it to Rony's, they were completely honest with me instead of running up a huge bill. Expecting a repair close to $600, I ended up spending only $100 ( with other services ) because they actually took the time to properly inspect it and found a nail in my tire! Finding a mechanic you can truly trust is rare, but Rony and his team are the absolute best. Highly recommend them to anyone in Culver City!

It's hard to find an auto shop you can truly trust, but Rony has earned my trust over decades. What was diagnosed by Ford as a failed water pump, was quoted at $4,700+ to repair it, (thanks to Ford's design-flaw in the engine compartment which resulted in them telling me: "we need to pull the engine. The part is $300 and change...the labor is over $4,000"). I did extensive research here in West L.A. in search of an independent shop with high ratings and experience with this exact repair. Rony's came up #1 on the list on 4 different search queries (Yelp, Bing, NextDoor, ChatGPT). After reading all the glowing reviews, it was a no-brainer for me to bring my car here. They use OEM parts and do factory-spec repair from start to finish. The repair work is now complete - WAY under budget (they did NOT, in fact, have to "pull the engine") and, boy, Rony's delivered. The water pump, timing kit, gaskets, cam shaft bolts and more were all handled with savvy expertise. I decided to have my tires replaced while at it and they offered a vast array at super-competitive prices. I drove home on a new set of Michelins that are A+. Mario and the team at Rony's went far, far above and beyond to make sure my car was cool - and that I was cool; daily progress emails, comprehensive inspection reports like I've never seen before (the Ford dealership doesn't offer anywhere near this level of service) and a personal touch that was as professional as it was reassuring. I had a nasty and extremely complicated electrical-based issue with my AC; it worked perfectly one moment, then horribly another. It was inexplicable. These guys took the initiative to dive DEEP into it - keeping the labor rates ridiculously fair for all that work - to make sure I wasn't being taken advantage of while they worked their asses off to make this right. I think they took it as a personal challenge, ha. That whole process made me love these cats even more. After 10 years of having my car cared for by Ford's dealership, I've been shown the light - and I'm never going back. Rony, you got me as your lifetime customer.

I went their 2 years ago for my stupid check engine light and they were able to take care of it while I waited. You won't get ripped off here, so try them.

It was really easy to schedule an appointment, and dropping my car off was seamless. A few hours later, George called me to let me know there were two things that needed to be replaced. He explained everything clearly, told me exactly what it would cost, and made sure I was comfortable before moving forward. I never felt pressured or taken advantage of, which meant a lot to me. When I picked up my car, George took the time to go over everything that had been done and answered all of my questions. He even let me know that he topped off my coolant and explained what I should keep an eye on in the future. I really appreciated that he didn't just fix my car and send me on my way, he actually cared enough to explain things. I also love that they use genuine OEM Mercedes parts. It's obvious they care about doing quality work instead of taking shortcuts. The biggest thing, though, was how my car felt afterward. The second I started driving, I could tell the difference. Everything felt so much smoother, and it honestly gave me so much peace of mind. It's hard to find people you can trust, especially when it comes to your car, but I can honestly say I trust George and his team. They're kind, honest, and genuinely care about their customers. I'm so glad I found them, and I'll definitely be coming back.

10 out of 10 service. Five stars all around…read more I came to Quality Automotive because I needed my wheel bearings replaced, and after calling multiple shops in the area, it was clear this was the best choice. No need to haggle -- they gave me the lowest price upfront. I had already bought my own parts, and while many shops either refused to do the work unless I bought parts through them or quoted me significantly higher labor costs, Quality Automotive welcomed me with no issues. What really stood out was that I ended up getting both my bearings and brakes replaced here -- and I still paid less than what other places wanted just for the bearings alone. I actually made an Excel sheet comparing prices, shop policies, and whether they accept customer-supplied parts, and this place beat everyone. If anyone's curious, I'd be happy to share that breakdown. I also made a mistake and bought the wrong brake parts from AutoZone. Since my car was already being worked on, I had no way to get there -- but one of the mechanics offered me a ride. That kind of thing doesn't happen at most shops. They didn't have to do that, and it wasn't about the difficulty of the brake job -- it was the fact that they went out of their way to help me and make sure the job got done right. Everyone I interacted with was professional, kind, and helpful. Most of the staff are bilingual, so whether you speak English or Spanish, you'll be in good hands. They explained everything clearly and made sure I understood what was being done to my car. I'd recommend this shop to anyone who wants honest, affordable service from people who actually care. Quality Automotive really lives up to its name

I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. I brought my car in on October 6th 2025 for a…read morediagnostic knowing I needed an oil change and possibly had an oil leak. I paid $130 for what was supposed to be a full diagnostic.. a thorough report of issues found after inspection. Instead, I got a single vague paragraph on paper (quote 1) summarizing $2,000+ in repairs with no itemized breakdown. I asked for photos, and they showed me pictures of my engine filters (note you have to get pass air ducts for this). Later that day I requested an itemized quote and suddenly the total dropped by nearly $1,000. Some of the issues just disappeared from the quote. That was my first red flag. How does a "diagnosis" of the same car change that drastically within hours? What did I pay $130 for if not an accurate inspection and record of the car's condition? I decided to check things myself. I ordered my own cabin, engine, and oil filters online for around $35 total (they quoted $180). I replaced the cabin filter in five minutes. Then I went to replace the engine air filter and immediately saw two large tears in both air intake ducts ... the hoses that deliver air into the engine (pre-filter at least). But both were completely ripped. This was never mentioned in either diagnostic, quote 1 or 2 despite being obvious... I paid $130 for them to "inspect" my car, and they missed something anyone could see under the hood? That's not just sloppy... it's negligent. And since accessing the engine filter requires moving those ducts, they had to have seen it. So, recap: I paid $130 for a diagnostic that missed two gaping holes in the air intake ducts something front and center. If I hadn't checked, I'd still be driving with this glaring issue. It's hard not to wonder if I was brushed off because I'm a woman. Im not the type to take someone's word without checking. This felt either lazy or deliberately dishonest. Fast forward to October 11, I came back for what I assumed would be a simple oil change. I'd already paid $130 for the lacking diagnostic, I believe I was informed with my initial quote that would go towards other services. Nope. They charged another $160. But I didn't have the energy to argue and I was planning to bring up the ducts. No one mentioned them... not even when I asked if there were any other issues. So I walked outside opened the hood pointed at the ripped hose and asked "What's this, and why wasn't it in my diagnostic?" The man looks me dead in the eye and says, "Oh, that's not really a big deal... most people don't fix that." Excuse me? I paid for a diagnosis and someone decided this shouldn't be included. Make it make sense. After pressing, he admits it should be replaced... something I already knew since I'd ordered both ducts for $30 online. Then he gives me a verbal quote of $55. I ask him to print it (because I'm not doing he said she said). He writes it up adding "no labor charge" like he's doing me a favor. I already had both parts sitting in my car. When I got home, I realized the quote was for one side the one I'd pointed at. Both were torn. At this point, I've lost all trust in this location. They're not transparent, not thorough, and the way they handled my situation was insulting. I hoped I could trust them with my car, but instead I learned a hard lesson. I'll now personally verify every service I pay for. If you rely on shops for maintenance.. open your hood. Watch a few videos. Understand what's being done before paying the "convenience" premium. Many of these fixes are simple and inexpensive. TL;DR: - Paid $130 for a "diagnostic" that missed two huge air duct tears. - Received inconsistent quotes -- price dropped $1,000 after asking for details. - No transparency or accountability. - Dismissive attitude when confronted. - Trust broken. Would not return.
