We started with the Prickly Pear Margarita and the Mango Margarita, and honestly, you can't go wrong with either. If you made me choose, I'd give a slight edge to the Prickly Pear Margarita. It had a subtle hint of strawberry that was absolutely delicious and so refreshing. But, then again, I loved the Mango Margarita, too. The fresh tortilla chips were fantastic, and every bite of our meal was excellent. I ordered the Tostada Platter with rice and beans, and it was incredibly filling and absolutely delicious. Be sure to watch my video to see how piled high it was. They have vegan options, as well, as seafood, burgers, salads. So, literally something for anyone. The service was wonderful. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hostess (who may have been the owner) made us feel right at home, and our server was friendly, charming, and checked on us at exactly the right times without ever being intrusive. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. And then there's the view... Wow! The panoramic views of Sedona are absolutely breathtaking. Request one of the many window tables, or enjoy the outdoor patio seating to take in the incredible scenery. They even welcome dogs (leashed) out on the patio and have quite a special menu for them: Burgers , Chicken, Steak and Salmon I've included photos and videos because when I looked it up on Yelp, it had great reviews, but I couldn't see enough photos to show how special it was inside. Hopefully you can see that here, because it's now one of my favorite casual restaurants in Sedona. We'll definitely be back!

You'll probably have to reserve pretty far in advance if you want one of those times. I was there after a long day of traveling, so I arrived pretty hungry. They have a small parking lot out front, but I wasn't able to find a spot there. Thankfully, there are nearby free parking lots as well. You might be thinking, won't you be rushed to have dinner since they close at 9? I had the same question, but apparently, even though they close at 9, each customer gets 1.5 hours to eat, so no issues if you have a late reservation. Ordered the Elote and Quesadilla de Costilla as appetizers. It took quite a while for them to come out, but the Elote was absolutely amazing. The tanginess of the lime goes really well with the spicy mayo and corn. I'd highly recommend it. The Quesadilla de Costilla was also fantastic. For my main dish, I ordered the Carne Asada. The steak was good, but I didn't like the dish too much overall. I definitely enjoyed the appetizers more. If I were to go back in the future, I'd most likely just order appetizers like the Elote and quesadillas. Those alone would be enough for me!

The Pork Soup was light but filling, different but super yummy. The Guac-Crab was a little salty but the vision is there. It's a Guac game changer. Our Skirt Steak was cooked perfectly medium paired with potatoes, rice, beans, and tortillas. And the Jalapeño cornbread was a little dry but very tasty. Ok so I was so excited to go here. There is something really comforting about a tamale done right!…read moreThe glowing reviews and pictures seemed promising. The restaurant itself has a lot of character, it full of textures and colors, had a cute little fountain outside. It just feels homey and welcoming. The menu...is hella pricey for a tamale. I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.

I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that charges for extra salsa with fajitas.. But the real issue was the food itself. The chicken and beef weren't just on the same plate--they were completely tossed together in one chaotic pile. That's just not how fajitas are served. The protiens are always separated. We ordered the combo because I only wanted chicken, and I ended up digging through everything trying to find it, which is kind of ridiculous for a $50 dish. There was an overload of onions and peppers (which I normally love), but barely any beef, and overall it didn't taste fresh. The place was also pretty empty, which by the end of the meal... made sense. I'd give it two stars, but the margarita was pretty good.

The Coolest thing was being able to eat with our dog there, the restaurant is really nice on the eyes but the food was lackluster and definitely not recommendable which sucks because it has the potential to be better. The waiter was very polite and attentive but sadly for the price this restaurant is a HUGE let down. The food was less than mediocre. I had the "steak and frites" which came with unseasoned corn and a dash of tajin which makes absolutely no sense paired with a kbbq inspired sauce on the steak??? The 'frites' tasted like frozen air fried rally's fries. The steak was a bit unseasoned and bland like the corn (we were on the verge of sending it back but we're not those people) I think a revamp on the menu would do this restaurant well and really thinking critically on ingredients / quality and pairings of proteins.
