I have been here at least twice over many years. The imaging was done, the product was in focus, evaluation done, the doctor gave me my results. I played my part, they played theirs. Instead, try the competitor, Southwest Medical Imaging. The two couldn't be more different. Before you go to SimonMed, you have to fill out many forms online and I do understand that. But it's still quite a hassle. The odd part is that when you arrive at the facility, you have to enter the same information. The worst part is SimonMed sends you an email and instructs you to click on this link to let them know you have arrived at the facility. There are no people there. No one greets you. You click the link in the email and a message comes back requiring that you enter the same information about insurance that you have already entered at home. It's a total duplication of your effort. When you get that done, the message comes back that you can now approach a payment station where you are asked again to show your ability to pay. You will not feel welcome or secure; you will feel like you deserve a paycheck for all the work that you are doing. I did see a half dozen people working but they were all at computers and none were interacting with patients. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. In contrast, when I got to SMIL, they smile, they welcome me, they come out to the waiting room to get my information and tell me how long the wait will be - it's never more than 10 minutes. I feel welcome and cared for. My guess is the SimonMed is trying reduce labor costs and I bet they are succeeding because you, the patient, are doing all the labor. What an awful place. UPDATE: To continue on how terrible SimonMed is, I just received an email requesting that I pay the bill. Fine, but the email didn't include the bill! So I went to the website and found no possible way to see my bill. I'm supposed to pay it without seeing it? This place is Kafaesque. Again, stay away! He also did laser on a crossover vein in the right inferior. I was told that the inferior veins would be foam. The failure rate of foam is about 30%. Laser is only 5%. I wanted laser and told the technician. I also checked with the front desk. I was scheduled for laser. I confirmed this when I checked in for the procedure, and was told it was to be foam. Foam takes about 5 minutes. Laser about 15 minutes. The waiting room was packed, and Dr Pessin said he could not do laser for fear of nerve damage. (I personally think it was his packed schedule.) I succumbed and he did foam. (He was the expert) It has now been three weeks, and I still have pain from the foam in two spots. I checked the internet when I got home (yikes) and there was no medical reason that I could find that would have mandated foam. I decided to skip any other procedures for this condition, so the right inferior vein remains untreated.
