I've been here twice, and both times the front desk was beyond unprofessional. The attitude, the lack of urgency, and the total disregard for patients' time is shocking. It's like customer care doesn't exist here. If you value your time, sanity, and being treated with basic respect, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The front desk needs to get it together. They gave the tech the wrong persons information and they started scanning the wrong side. I had to Correct them and spent 1.5 hours there only to find out they didn't need anything else from me Also they charged me 2 co pays when I told them I shouldn't have a co pay. It's been 2+ months and I'm still waiting for my refund. Called multiple times and went in person to try to resolve this. read more

I went in for my MRI and the staff was so friendly, helpful, and put me right at ease. I got to my appointment early as directed and I was in and our for my MRI in 25 minutes, if that, and it would have been shorter but I had to remove an article of clothing that was showing up in the scan. I would look forward to having additional diagnostic testing at this facility based on my experience today. read more

This is not about this SimonMed. This is about the scheduling. Please if you can go to smile please do. How these places stay open is unbelievable. Their phone service is a nightmare. Expect to spend 39 mins scheduling. They play so many games. They keep putting you on hold they ask for stupid details that are right in front of them to waste time. After every question they put you on hold. What symptoms is your dr sending you for!!!!! They have the code. Stop wasting my time. Then you can never speak to the person that is doing the test. They call you and tell you to call them with questions but you get the people who answer the phone and know nothing. So if you screw up it is not their fault. This place is a joke. Told there was a hour and a half wait. There was 3 people in the waiting room. Room filled up and emptied again over 2 hours later. I'm still waiting. On top of that I was told I couldn't make an appointment for x-rays. But I seem to last in line as everyone else is going ahead of me and they got here after me. I've been to a lot of different medical facilities and frankly I do not typically enjoy these necessary visits, but this last experience was different. What stood out to me were the type of people SimonMed staffed at this location (Fountains SimonMed Imaging). Whoever did the hiring there did a fantastic job! The front desk was quick, efficient, and provided everyone in front of me with great professionalism and customer service (something that has been falling by the wayside in these recent years). One person in particular deserves recognition for the excellent care and concern she demonstrated to every patient she helped the lobby. Celeste, the young lady at the front desk was warm, bubbly, professional, and was great with her active listening skills. Her bright purple hair helped liven up these more or less dull places. It especially complimented her equally vibrant, cheery personality. Celeste, THANK YOU for all you do and for making this experience one of the best! A job well done. And SimonMed, give yourself a pat on the back for finding her and give this girl a raise!! It's so much easier to focus on the bad things in life and in people. Complaining may be the easiest thing to do, but when it comes to celebrating and praising good experiences, good work ethics, and good people it's more difficult for people to take time out of their day to do so. I waited an extra hour in the lobby for the imaging test after being cancelled the day before because tech called in that day. Roaming tech "Tyler" (this location does not have a permanent tech on site) performed my imaging testing. When the tech put me on the CT table he had me upside down which he corrected once he realized his error. Because they used contrast with the CT scan and I'm over 60 yrs old, the Tech said he would draw blood to test my kidney function first. He ended up not doing that because he was having difficulty drawing anything out of the IV. Though apparently, putting the contrast in the IV wasn't a problem. When he continued to have problems with my IV I offered him to try at another site on me. He declined. He did not speak in a microphone to give instructions so the little instruction he did give was hard to hear. I don't remember him ever telling me when the scan would begin or to hold still. Fortunately I have had these scans done before so i knew what to do. I had also brought a copy of my previous imaging for the radiologist to compare to, since this is a health issue that is being watched over time. The tech did not know what to do with it. He suggested I ask the front desk, but it was the front desk that told me to bring it back to the tech. I went back to the front desk after my CT was finished and a different gal helped me with the previous scan by uploading it for the radiologist to see. This was a very trying experience even though I am experienced as a patient with these types of tests. One thing I know is, you don't want anything to go wrong when you are having radioactive contrast poured into you. If you are going to risk the side effects and long term implications of raised risk for cancer from contrast, you want the best information given to the radiologist as possible. Had an ultrasound on my lower leg on 07/19/2024. The technician, Alexis was the most professional and friendly person you could ask for. The front desk staff was pleasant and had a lot of patience with some of the clients who didn't know what their insurance covered. I think the majority of people who have issues with co-pays or co-insurance payments don't do their homework prior to medical appointments. Unfortunately, the people at the front desk take the brunt of others ignorance or lack of responsibility. I have nothing but praise for this SimonMed location. read more

TERRIBLE experience. 8:30 am appt for MRI, w/out, then with contrast. SELF ADMINISTERED ENEMA at 6:30 am. 45 minutes after that delightful experience... 7:15 am I get a call, they OVERLOOKED the contrast order in the referral, didn't have a tech for the contrast. Told I'll have to reschedule. Offered 2 pm appt much further away - I had to get to work. Told I'll have to reschedule. Had scheduled the morning off work, confirmed in network, ate light meals the day before, fasted and did the enema, all for nothing because they didn't pay attention to details. If that wasn't bad enough, call to reschedule was ridiculous. Rep didn't hear my complaint, or my request to make it right and schedule me ASAP at the same location. Just following a script. Foreign accent made it hard to understand each other. Rep confused the Dr and lab ofc addresses. Painfully slow. Hung up, asked Dr to refer me to diff lab. And, I also had to reschedule with the Dr requesting the MRI which is delaying my follow up appointment by over a month! I will never, I mean ever, never, go to SimonMed. read more

I had an appointment today (4/12/2022) for 230. I scheduled this appointment 3 weeks ago. At 2:26, as I was pulling into the parking lot I received a call from SimonMed. I told her I was in the parking lot and she said come in and we will explain the situation. I came in and the girl explained they can't do my appointment and that they normally don't schedule my type of appointments after 200 pm. I asked why someone didn't notify me earlier and she reminded me she did try calling (at 226, 4 minutes before my appointment time). I asked if she was going to reimburse for gas for the 45 minute drive here or for the time I had to take off work. Of course they won't. The girl scheduled me another appointment in six days (geez I really hope this isn't breast cancer!) This company that does not care about the health of women, or their time. As this spot says, Simon Med Imaging- Fountains. I have had a Mammo done here for years,"I really miss Insight Imaging". So I went online to Simon Med and made a date for it. Around November 2-7, filled everything out even down to checking the box I had a doctors script for it. Did everything they wanted, got the date and time I wanted. It said submit, I did, then it said I have the date set November 12,2019 at 8:45 am see you then. You will get a reminder call about your appointment! That was a joke never got one. So went in today ready to have the test (11-12-19) 8;30am, I was told sorry you have no appointment. Get your head out of your dang butts people and make your web work right. Go one step better and get up and running on a patient portal, Oh wait your simon med not Insight Imaging. get someone who knows how to put the website so it works right. read more

Very disappointed with this location. since x-rays are on a walking in basis and they close at 5:00pm, I called the tech ahead of time to make sure that if I walk in at 4:40 pm, I could still get my x-ray. He did confirm so I left work 2 hrs. early to get there in time, just to find out that he had left early! The worse part was that the receptionist just sent me to another location near by (5410 Thunderbird) that according to her, closes at 5:00 pm and told me that "I could get my x-ray done there before 5:00 pm". I got to the second location at 4:50 pm and they still didn't take me in, even after explaining to the receptionist the frustrating situation I had just experienced. Perhaps SimonMed Imaging needs to start doing appointments for x-rays to ensure reliability. I still need need to get an x ray today but will be calling my provider to request to be sent somewhere else. read more

Front desk staff was so rude. We showed up for the time and to the location listed on our order. She was super annoyed when she realized that we were supposed to be at the Thunderbird office. (Spoiler: the fountains office is on Thunderbird less a quarter mile from the Thunderbird office.) I'm sure she sees that mistake a lot, but no reason to treat patients that way. Not to mention I waited over an hour to make an appointment in the first place. On my third call. I waited 30 minutes and had to hang up the other two times. read more

12/24/20: Scheduled appt for 7:30 PM on 1/6/21 @ 54th and Thunderbird. They left a VM on the morning of 1/6/21 to change location to 56th and Thunderbird. The VM said "same time". So I arrive at 6:50 to fill out paperwork and they informed me the appt was at 6:30. Uhm no. The receptionist goes back to check with the tech and tells me they will accommodate me. Now I'm irritated and want to reschedule. Oh no, they can get me in within an hour. 2 hours later the tech says I need to reschedule. I ask why that wasn't acceptable 2 hours ago & I'm informed the receptionist never asked the tech originally. She just put the orders on his desk. Tech says everything has been screwed up since the reshuffling of appts. You're not dealing with intelligence or accountability when you come to SimonMed. Although I'm sure I'll get their bill right on time. read more

When setting the appointment up the phone person, in broken English, gave me a time of 11am. This was the time he wanted me to show up ahead of the 11:45 appointment, although he called it the appointment time. At noon several others had walked out due to the lateness of the appointment. This is not a good place of business and it would be best to steer well clear if you can. read more

I checked in at 205 my appt at 215 said it was going to be an hour they were behind.... then now at 330 and everyone has gone in I asked wth is going on and they say another 20 minutes?? I ask why and they say other people are having different test than me. I don't give a F*#* this is absolutely ridiculous the waiting time and lack of customer service . There's another SimonMed right down the street, across from Walgreens - go to that one. DO NOT go to Fountains for any reason. I went to SimonMed Fountains and was treated so incredibly badly I was in shock. First, i was made to wait nearly 40 minutes for my appointment - not incredibly professional but things happen. Then I got harassed for my service dog. After informing them of state and federal laws regarding service animals, they seemed to be fine, though I could tell the receptionist was angry. After my scan, my doctor had requested films and reports, not the DVD. I requested this from the front desk at check in. After my appointment i was told it would be a few minutes. After 30 minutes I went up and asked. I was told they weren't up front yet. Nearly AN HOUR later I went up again and got massive attitude after the receptionist - after she first finished talking about her weekend plans with another employee. When she went back to check for my films, on a shelf behind her, she mentioned to another employee that I was being a bitch - and I heard her. The films were there the whole time!! She handed me the envelope and I said "They're all in there?" to which she rudely said "yes" and then immediately walked away. Out in the car I checked - all the films weren't in there and the reports weren't in there at all. I called and asked for a manager (I wasn't going to go back in there and talk to that rude employee) who was in another location and assured me that she'd call and I could pick up all my films and reports in a few minutes. I waited 15 minutes in my car, went inside and was told no one called. I went home, called a manager again who swore to me she called, and while i was in the phone with her she put me on hold and called them to make certain they were there. At that point I refused to go back. They had me pick them up from the SimonMed location down the road. Ive been going to that location since and have never had a problem. read more

Unfortunately I have to give this a minimum of one star to post this. Another location scheduled an appointment for this location 48 hours in advance after I was scheduled for the wrong appointment. Just 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment I was called and notified that my appointment needed to be canceled as they did not have a tech scheduled for the day. So I was scheduled for a day that no one was scheduled and then they waited until 15 minutes before my appointment to let me know. I would have not been as frustrated if they would have let me know a day before or even the day it was scheduled. The front desk said they noticed it when they opened but were too busy to call and let me know then so they waited and wasted more of my time. Never will use Simon med again since they are clearly a joke. read more

Do NOT receive services here. They will charge you for additional services you did not receive. They also tried to get a co payment with each visit even if its not required i had to argue with the Fat receptionist since i had already paid the co payment. I went in for a ultrasound of my abdomen/ pelvic . Informed me on my cost would be $500 so i paid towards the cost. I than received a bill of $700 that included a Vascular Study that i never received. Also doesn't show the amounts i had already paid towards the bill. Very unprofessional. How can Simonmed bill you for orders they don't have from the provider? I've been disputing this since 4/23 each time i call they say it will be 20-48 days. It been well passed that. They also scheduled my ultrasounds two hours from each other without informing me Until i showed up the ultrasound technician was the one that informed me as i was getting my first ultrasound. So i had to waste 4 hours of my time. I can say a lot of negative things about simonmed. This place deserves a 0 stars. read more

I felt the scheduling people tried to be informative however they said the MRI machine I'd be going into would fit four people and that was clearly not the case! Maybe four toddlers, (two stacked on top of each other( When I went in for my app. I felt the front desk were pleasant but in the back they seemed very robotic and not personable. I was terrified to have this procedure and I didn't feel like anyone helped ease my fear. I felt the girl technician was reading a script in a complete mono toned voice, no personality. I felt everything I went threw was down played as far as you'll feel " a little pain or a little stiffness" . I was also told that I couldn't breastfed for three days but have found out that is incorrect and the arthogram contrast they use are safe for breastfeeding moms and they should be more educated on the drugs they use on bf and pregnant women. The gentleman who injected me pleasant and I felt did a good job for such an unpleasant experience as it is injecting contrast into a person joint. The MRI room was terribly cold I was offered one thin blanket. No pre warning that the machine would be so incredibly loud I thought it was going to come crashing down on me at any moment. When I was done my anxiety was so high due to the claustrophobic machine and pain in my arm I ran out of there. I also drove myself home which I shouldn't have however I didn't know any different. This was my first ever MRI and MRI arthogram experience. I really didn't know what to expect or ask as far as questions so for the next clients maybe working on Sincere customer service more empathy on staffs part towards the client and educating the client before each move we do on the client. read more

I had the most pain free, easiest mammogram ever. The technician was excellent and for the first time ever she didn't squeeze all the air out of me. I got my results quickly. I also had a Dexa scan the same day and it was fine. I was taken back on time. Both technicians were very nice and great. read more

I had an appointment at SimonMed 5410 W Thunderbird, but one of their machines was down so the front desk checked with 5620 W Thunderbird and put me on their schedule for 15 minutes later. 5 minutes to get there, 5 minutes to fill out the paperwork and 10 minutes for my mammogram and I was back on the road. Susan, the tech, and the gal at the front desk were both really nice. read more

I arrived early just as required. I had to speak up because it was more than twenty minutes past my appointment time, so it had been almost an hour waiting with no interaction from the staff. Since I spoke up the front staff was rude and disrespectful towards me just for asking about the delay. I've had problems with the front staff at this location before. (5620 w Thunderbird) They are hostile and disrespectful if you have any questions. We are the customers and should be treated with dignity and not as a burden . The tech staff in the back office are amazing and definitely makes up for the poor customer service in the front office. I have used Simon Med location's around the Valley and this location has been the worst in customer service from the front desk. Other locations have friendly courteous staff both in the front office and the techs in back. read more
