SimonMed has an inadequate check in system requiring one to be online. Provider ordered my test to include an ultrasound in addition to imaging by 3D. I went through 45 minutes trying to do the encouraged online scheduling then had to call and wait and finally speak with a person to schedule the two appointments for back to back times. Simonmed waits until I am done with the 3D portion and then says oh well we don't see the order for the ultrasound so we cant do it it is written on the same page! Never trust these imbeciles. Simonmed is one of the worst overall companies I have ever encountered. Nine times out of ten there is an issue when I use their services. I honestly don't know how they stay in business with they way things are run. The higher ups in this company need to be replaced if they think how they have been running things over the past few years is acceptable. I am consistently overcharged for services and it's like pulling teeth trying to get my money back each time. Of course they outsource so you will not talk to someone locally regarding billing issues. They refuse to do the exam unless you pay what they say you owe (which has NEVER been even close to accurate.) I am currently waiting for a refund for over $800 that they overcharged me from nine months ago. I've waited in their lobby for over 3 hours because they didn't have a tech before I arrived so all the back up patients had to go before me. They knew they didn't have a tech way before my appointment, and didn't bother to call me. If for some reason they cannot do your exam they WILL NOT call you ahead of time. They will let you waste your time and gas to come down, check in, and sit in their lobby for God knows how long before telling you they can't see you for a reason that any reputable competent company would have noticed long ago, which is what happened to me today. I just had a to get a mammogram done this time so I thought, "they can't mess this one up..." I was wrong. They found a way. I am done with this company and will not be back. read more

they don't take appointments for x-rays which Are supposedly done every day. i went today for a chest x-ray and was told the tech was not in today. referred me to 2 other locations which would be a long drive. i'm pissed. they should have an extra tech if the regular one calls in sick or for some other reason. the receptionist said the tech would be in tomorrow. i'm not available tomorrow. i needed it today. read more

Had an appointment for ultrasound. Arrived 25 minutes prior to appointment time to check in and give insurance card. One other person was in front of me and several arrived after me. I watched for the next hour as multiple people were sent back and I asked if I was still going to be seen and was assured I was next. Another 30 mins passed and several others continued to be sent back. I went back to the desk to ask when I could expect to go back for my ultrasound and was told that the ultrasound technician wasn't even there. Why on earth was this information not given to me upon arrival? Or for the hour and a half I sat there waiting?!! Had I not asked multiple times I would likely still be sitting there waiting. Unbelievable!!! Was told I could reschedule and I passed as I do not wish to relive this or waste another morning. I will schedule elsewhere and never return to Simon Med. I urge you to avoid Simon Med unless you enjoy sitting in a meat locker cold waiting room wasting precious time. When you have to fast for an appointment, ideally you would be seen right away or at the very least informed no one is there to do your ultrasound so that you could plan accordingly. Bring several layers so you can withstand the cold in the waiting room. Felt warmer outside on the 45 degree day. read more

When the lady finally came to the front desk she had a mouthful of food and we had to wait for her to get done chewing before being helped. I had an appointment on Friday 4-17-2020. I received a call from the site manager Sarah C. to confirm my appointment early Thursday afternoon. I was woken up Friday morning just after 7am to not one but 5 calls from an unavailable number and then the last call from a private number. All within minutes of each other. Then I received a call from my EMERGENCY CONTACT, she was frantic as SimonMed had called her and called her until they woke her up to answer. I then called my voicemails as I had been sleeping to hear that they called me both late Thursday night and another voicemail Friday morning...but yet they thought it was necessary to keep calling because they wanted to close early on Friday according to the Voicemail. They Violated my privacy rights according to HIPAA. I was not in an emergent situation and they misused my Emergency Contact Info which in turn alerted this person to my medical appointments. I filed a complaint with the site manager that day, she said she filed the report but when I asked for a copy was refused. The site manager, Sarah C. said I would be contacted by their compliance department. I never heard from the compliance department so a week later I called them. Renetta called me back from compliance and was very unconcerned about my complaint. They stated that the calls were never made as I stated in my complaint because she reviewed the call logs and only showed a couple of the calls. I advised her that I can provide her with the times of each call, the voicemails left which neither identified who she was only that she was calling from SimonMed. The contact number and the name of the person calling was easily obtained by calling back the number from our call log history. I provided Renetta with this information which was obviously not company policy to have their employees use their cell phones as then they have no call records. Clearly it is not appropriate for an employee to be using their personal cell phone to make these calls. It would seem that the employees did not want SimonMed to have the call log history as they knew what they were doing was inappropriate, unprofessional and actually unethical as they violated my right to privacy. Once I proved to their compliance department that the calls were made they provided me a weak excuse that the tech, Celina, making the calls thinks its easier to use her cell phone when moving around. WHY WOULD YOU MAKE SO MANY PHONE CALLS and then contact my Emergency Contact. Renetta stated that SimonMed did not violate my privacy. I beg to differ. This has been handled egregiously refusing to take responsibility for their inappropriate and unlawful actions. read more

Would be 0 if that was a choice. The company as a whole is a joke. I would NEVER trust them for medical procedures if you value your health. They don't know what procedures each branch does then they change the schedule on you. Then they promise to have images read by a certain time and they are not. Then when the Doctor's office calls them and asks for the readings they say too busy and will get to it later. All the while you are waiting in the doctors office one week after the imaging. When you call and ask to speak to an office manager and even have the name, people in the office don't know who that person is. It is sad because at the Anthem office Javi is contentious. This is my third time in the past several years dealing with their incompetence. Only reason I went back this time was it was next-door to my doctor and been several years since the last time and I thought they might be organized now. NOT! read more

Absolutely unacceptable. MRI order was for with and without contrast. Report only indicated WITHOUT contrast. When I called and got escalated I was just asked, "How did you get a hold of me" instead of dealing with the issue. Then I was promised the report would be reevaluated and corrected. It was NOT. The IDENTICAL report as a day prior was posted again STILL showing without contrast. The report said NOTHING about the condition of the lymph nodes even though I have CANCER and a palpable mass in the supraclavicular region which is most likely cancer. Finally when I went to get images the young girl working was a total bitch. She ignorantly claimed "I can't do that" when I asked for four specific studies. She claimed she can only make 2 CDs even though that is NOT what their policy is online. I asked when that came about, she said, "I don't know when I started working here 3 months ago" then she did not even offer to make just 2 CDs as she just claimed she would. She was a typical conceited, lazy, ignorant, insensitive millenial bitch and their radiologists have proved incompetent multiple times. The ortho in May requested the scan be read by a specific radiologist with 30 years experience but when I got the study it showed that did NOT happen and was read by some stupid, ignorant, inexperienced first year resident. He completely missed CANCER. DO NOT go to SImonMed. They are so driven by money they can't even recognize and diagnose potentially FATAL conditions. read more

Forget getting an MRI here- I'm not sure of the Tesla level of imaging for their machine, but you will feel as if you're being buried alive. If you're claustrophobic, head elsewhere. read more

Each time I asked more than my fair share of questions about scheduling as well as preparation for the tests, and each time they were very patient and professional in answering them for me. They made my caregiver leave the lobby and they had me waiting over an hour before I had to say something to a seemingly shocked front desk person who was completely useless. Writing this as i sit in SimonMeds waiting area. Arrived 1/2 hr early for my husband's MRI appointment to do paperwork prior and maybe get in early. It's now 1/2 hour AFTER his scheduled appointment time. He has a painful back into and can't sit for long. I asked the receptionist how much longer. She checked with the tech and was told they were at least an hour behind because they were double booked! Hubby wants to wait it out only because it was a 30 Minute drive for us to get here And he doesn't want to come back. One of the other patients awaiting too said this is common here. That he always has to wait an hour or more past his appointment time because they double book! Double book for a medical appt?? The only reason I can think of that they double book is $$. They're afraid of appointment cancellations and don't want to lose $ on no shows. They'd rather let patients wait an hour or more than by double booking than lose $$. So far this isn't a good experience. Only positive is receptionist is pleasant and helpful. Double booking isn't her fault...I assume!! Update: After waiting 2 1/2 hours my husband was finally called back, only to find out he's too big for their MRI machine! (He's 6'1" & 240lbs) His shoulders were too wide. I went to SimonMed in April to get a MRI. As usual they want their payment upfront and with in 24 hrs my credit card was charged. I was unable to get the MRI because they will not give you any medication for being claustrophobic!! Ok, that's on me. This outfit would not issue a refund until July and only after I threatened to call the AG office for the state of AZ. They get your funds in hours and refunds take months!! read more

Great Staff, very friendly. Unfortunately I have had to have several CT Scans and MRIs at this location. But every time the staff are so pleasant it makes it much more palatable. I always get a copy of my exam on DVD which they make for me on the spot. read more

Was told that x-rays are a walk in bases. Tried to come in on Tuesday but they are closed Tuesdays and Thursday's despite everything saying they are open. Got off work on Friday to take my daughter in only to be told that xrays have to be worked around mris and It could take HOURS to get her seen. We've now been sitting here for 2 hours to get an X-ray done. Why do walk in xrays but not even have any available time to do them!? They are attempting to send people to other locations because they are too busy but now the other locations are getting double booked. I'm super disappointed with this place. read more

This review relates to my visit to the Anthem SimonMed location on 4/17/2020. My doctor ordered x rays to be done of my spine and thoracic area. I called to see if I needed an appointment or if there were any special procedures in place, such as asking patients to wear a mask. I arrived on time wearing a mask. I noted that the chairs in the waiting area were all lined up, as usual, side by side. Since there were only 4 people there we were able to sit a distance apart. I asked how many people were ahead of me and was told there were two. Within 10 minutes a number of other patients arrived. Some with a companion, most without masks. At 2:45 I took the advice that was posted at the reception desk that said I could wait in my car which was parked outside the door. As I waited, I saw a number of people coming and going. After an hour I hadn't been called so I went inside told the receptionist that I had been waiting an hour for my 2:30 appointment and asked how much longer it would be. She said there was one person ahead of me, but she was annoyed at me and told me there had been a problem and I would be next. I sat in the waiting room with 5 other people as two more were called back and two more arrived. One woman sat two seats over filling out forms. She was severely congested with a deep rattling cough, was NOT wearing a mask and not covering her mouth. I moved to the other side of the room. I waited another 5 minutes with the woman across the room coughing. On the verge of leaving, I asked how much longer it would be concerned that I was within 10 feet of someone with severe congestion. I told the receptionist that the woman was coughing and not wearing a mask. Finally, I was called, almost 2 hours after my scheduled appointment. I told the tech that I had been waiting two hours and about the woman who was coughing in the waiting room, wearing a mask. Perturbed at my comments, she put me in a dressing room where there was a hamper overflowing with used gowns hanging over the edge of the hamper. The hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall was empty. I find it hard to believe that SimonMed has not established mandatory COVID-19 procedures, at a minimum, requiring all patients to wear a mask, taking a temperature, and prohibiting companions unless they are a caregiver. The chairs should have been arranged to maintain physical distance. If SimonMed has established any procedures, they are either dangerously inadequate or the staff in this facility are not adhering to them. It's simply inexcusable to allow the coughing woman to sit in the waiting area close to others and filling out forms with a pen and clipboard provided by the office. Although the receptionist was wearing a mask, she was not wearing gloves and if the woman is COVID-19 positive, the employee handled the documents and clipboard that the woman handled and coughed on without protection, not only putting herself at risk, but all the patients who come after her that the receptionist has contact with when she hands out the forms and clipboards. I hope you find this visit summary useful in improving patient and employee safety for the duration of this crisis. SimonMed is a possible point of contagion since you provide x-rays to individuals who are potentially infected. If you don't take this pandemic seriously, you are part of the problem, not the solution. read more

Went to my appointment on 5/22/19. Was seen by tech and had procedure done within half hour of my appointment time. I paid my bill and completed form to have report and results mailed to me. However, have yet to receive report or results (CD of scan). Called SimonMed on 6/12/19 and spoke with the operator. However, she just put my call to an automated message instructing me to complete a records request. I already did that when at SimonMed on 5/22/19. I'm not able to speak to someone about my report not being sent to me. Very disappointing. read more
