I arrived 15 minutes early for my 9am appointment at the Bell Rd location in PV. I was not taken back until 9:45. I've had probably 100 IVs in my life with ZERO issues - my veins are clearly visible. The phlebotomist tried twice in my right arm with an 18 gauge needle (I had a CT with contrast) and sounded unsure of herself working with this size needle. She asked for assistance and another tech ended up getting the line in my left arm. I'm left with quite a bruise and bump on my right arm! I'm hoping others have had better experiences, and I'm hoping I never have to return to that location. I even tried to lighten the mood and restart with a positive outlook. The nurse was apologetic, but that will be my last visit to that location. read more

I'm shocked this location has low ratings--I've had two excellent experiences here. My first breast exam was quick and painless, and the tech was honest and reassuring, which helped ease my nerves. I recently had an MRI and was very anxious (claustrophobic and afraid of needles), but Daniel and Erin were incredible. They were empathetic, walked me through every step, and even tho I was screaming inside they both kept me calm in the machine. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism. Their appointment issues are well documented, and I've experienced it, but what is inexcusable is more than a WEEK after the scan, it (a) hasn't yet been read by a radiologist, and (b) hasn't been forwarded to the prescribing physician. Almost three weeks to get an appointment then another two weeks to get the scan read? Now add to this there is no LIVE chat as claimed on the website, and the phone is offshored to somewhere where English isn't the primary language, and these bastards are trained how to lie to you when you complain about the poor service, and you have disaster. You need a scan completed a month after your doctor orders it? This is the place for you. You'll either be worse or cured by the time your doc gets the results, but hey! You get to talk to Rajneesh or Prubayanka, who'll tell you they expedite the process for you. You'll still wait two weeks though. I filed a complaint with United healthcare. I had a really great experience here. I was pretty nervous to get my scan and everyone was so nice. Julie at the front desk made sure that my insurance covered everything and that all of that was worked out etc. Then, Breanna my tech, was super kind and really caring. Really good "bedside manner" so to speak. She explained to me how everything worked so I wouldn't be nervous and kept me updated with how much time was left. I really appreciate these ladies. They made my experience so much easier. Highly recommend this location Keep in mind that no one leaves a review for an imaging company unless it goes badly, so don't worry about the bad reviews. I had an 8:45 am apt this morning for a scan. I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed, but what a waist of time. There were two people in the waiting room ahead of me, they were seen, 3 more people came in, two were walk in, they were all seen. It's now 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment. I ask what's the hold up and the office person said I was next. Another walk in comes in and she is seen ahead of me as well. My last visit here was for a CT scan. My appointment was rescheduled twice before i waited close to 90 min. Today, my wife needs an xray. Website does not allow to make an xray appointment. Web site reflected 1 person waiting already. (It showed one person waiting each time my wife checked). We're closing in on a 2.5 hour wait. Can they be any slower? I had previously used my cell number for my elderly and frail mother's CT exam, so they could not schedule me as my phone number is now somebody else's and I need tp provide a difference phone number, which not only do I not have but I couldn't get their overseas call center to understand. I was warned not to go there for XRays but I didn't heed the warning. Big mistake. I thought, they can't be THAT bad and stay in business but I was wrong. They won't take appointments for XRays so the first time I went, I checked their online queue and it showed one person. I jumped in the car and drove there, arriving at 4:15. I was told the XRay tech went home early. I told them I had heard there were often long waits and asked if there was a good time to go - the receptionist said no, it's usually only 1 or maybe two people in line. Showed up this morning at 8:30 and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. Checked the status several times and was told it would be "a few more minutes". After an hour, there was no more room in the waiting room so they took all the people waiting for XRays and put us in a different waiting room "so we could get in and out for our XRays quickly". Was told the XRay tech was "setting up" and it would be a few minutes. 30 minutes later still no progress. I saw the receptionist speaking with the XRay tech and found out the XRay tech was new to that location and didn't know how to work the equipment, so they were going to call someone else to walk her through it. All this time they continually deceived the long list of people waiting, saying it would be "just a few more minutes". Finally left and will never go back. Be warned - if you go for XRays, there is slight chance you will be seen within a reasonable schedule but chances are, either: their tech did not show up today, or their tech went home early today, or they have a new tech who does not know how to work the equipment, or they are experiencing "technical difficulties" (which is the excuse they used today) read more

I had an appointment for an MRI yesterday and everything went seamlessly. The front desk assistants were friendly and efficient, working quickly to register all the patients who arrived. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the exam because there were 2 patients ahead of me but there were plenty of seats available. My MRI tech was very kind and explained the entire procedure to me before it started. He let me know everything that was going to happen along the way as well. The service was very good here and I recommend this facility to anyone who needs imaging. My only recommendation is that Simon Med allow people to make appointments for X-rays because several people had to come back or go to another office for that service due to the tech having a full schedule. Didn't affect me, but it may increase patient satisfaction. read more

First and last time to use Simon Med, there are just too many other great places to go and be treated respectfully. The young new front office lady was nice but had no power to do anything to correct issues. My experience today was first a changed appt time text notification when I was already on my way, then I patiently waited over 75 minutes. When I checked to see when I would finally called back, they said "oh you are still here?" Funny though, only one person out of the 20+ people who had come in for scheduled MRI or whatever else and walk-in xray services were seen in the entire time I was waiting. Everyone else was turned away, not called to change their appts or notified that both the x-ray and MRI machines were not working. The ultrasound was working, but it still took way over an hour to get in, and for no reason that i could see as again it was just me and another person waiting for our procedures. The sad part was that so many people said to the front desk staff, "I have already scheduled 3 or more times, and the samr equipment is not working." In my humble opinion, there needs to be some careful inspection of the equipment and supervision of this location because over 20 people left without being seen...dollars down the drain and lots of customers unhappy. I can't honestly say i recommend simon Med at all. I sent an email to info@simonmed.com letting them know i am contacting my doctor at Village Medical to let them know this experience and ask my file to be updated to never refer me or my family to SimonMed again. I don't expect SimonMed mgt to reach out and apologize to me or the tons of people in Anthem that have failed to get services completed time and time again, but I can say for me and my house we will take our business to Valley Radiology! read more

Find another lab. Their check-in staff is at best, incompetent. And their billing department phone representatives are worthless if you are trying to resolve billing errors that were created by their staff. Don't even think about speaking to anyone who can help, because since March, I have made numerous calls trying to recover $700 that they made me pay out of pocket, when my medical plan not only should have covered the labs, but did. And don't think a billing supervisor or manager will return your call after you've waited endless hours for one, because they won't call. In January, I was referred to the Anthem location for a CT scan. Yep, I had to pay $275.95 even though the lab was covered by UMR. And UMR paid as well. Two weeks later when I went back to the doctor to discuss findings, they had to call the lab as the findings had not even been sent back to my medical provider. That's Issue #1. Issue # 2. It gets worse. In March, my wife was referred to the Anthem location for yet another CT scan. This time the woman at the reception desk told us that we owed $695 before the lab could be done. This time I stated that my plan covers the lab. She then said I could pay $425 now, and Simon would bill me for the rest. We needed the lab, and as a result, I had to pay the $425. That same week, I began calling their billing department to get these two issues resolved. Thus began a sad and unacceptable experience. Each time being told that 1) it would take 30-45 days to resolve the problem, even though it only took 5 minutes for Simon to force me to pay. On this day, 6/10/23, I have still not received a refund for two bogus charges that were made in error by Simon Imaging totaling $700.95. I have record of payment from UMR in the form of Explanation of Benefits for both lab dates showing that they also paid the claim which Simon filed even though I paid on the day of service. Such a scam, and shameful in the way it has all been handled. In my mind, this is criminal in nature, and it needs to be addressed in a larger forum. I am currently drafting a complaint to the Arizona Attorney General and to the Arizona Medical Board. I say to whomever is reading this, don't put yourself through the aggravation. They would have received 5 stars except for the fact it took 4 separate appointments to finally be seen. They are dealing with staff shortages across the board. The front desk person, Javier, was amazing. He was kind and helpful to all, regardless of how they were acting towards him. People were all sorts of frustrated with the long wait, yet he held his cool and managed two or three jobs that should have been done by additional people. The CT and MRI techs in the back were also friendly and helpful even though they were swamped. When being stressed by being so over-worked, they all maintained grace and kindness. In my world, I appreciate that and believe that they should be recognized for that. Even though there was a wait, I will go back to this location again because of these great humans. read more

I have Diabetes so I called the day before my Brain MRI and asked if masks were required and I was tole that they are required for patients and staff alike. When I got there for my appointment, no one was wearing a mask, not the patients or the staff that I saw and was told that masks are NOT required at their office so I had to cancel my appointment because it is unsafe for me to not be protected from Covid19 so if you have a co morbidity and are concerned about Covid19 then DO NOT go to this location as they are dangerously ignorant about your needs. read more

The people who take x rays and draw blood etc. are polite and seem competent, but the front office people are disorganized and are rude to EVERYONE. I walked in this morning and only the girl behind the desk was wearing a mask! Six people in the waiting area old and young were NOT! I walked out and refused to wait in that room. As I walked in an older man was walking out and came within 3 feet of me and was NOT wearing a mask. ALL medical imaging facilities like Simon and Labs like Quest and LabCorp should immediately make it mandatory to be wearing a mask prior to entering. Lowe's were offering them for free! All of you should immediately make it a requirement. Hand them out at the door, or leave on a table saying: No mask, No entry, and No test. The technicians are being put at unnecessary risk, and the patients, are either dumb or selfish and just don't care. I drive a ways to get there and they never have an appointment. Then the lady on the phone says one thing. Every SimonMed location I've ever been to is horrible, but Anthem takes the cake. Had an appointment but still waited for over an hour. Which given prior experiences with SimonMed I expected, last appointment I had I waited over 2 hours past my wife's appointment time. However what's special about this office is the horrendously unprofessional staff. The woman working the front desk spent that entire hour I was trapped waiting literally screaming at people on the phone. Then in between phone calls would LOUDLY make negative comments about the work she was doing, complaining about patients and doctors. I put in headphones to try to listen to music and that couldn't even drown her out. Negative attitude, rude tone, ridiculously unprofessional. I've given SimonMed multiple chances because they are the closest provider to me, but I am now determined to never use them again. SMILE is so superior it's comical at this point. Biltmore location. Making an appointment was very difficult. The intake person did not have a clear understanding of English and it was a tedious process. There was an abundance of forms to fill out in the office which seems to be a common issue with many offices. Waiting time beyond my appointment time was approximately 40 minutes. Once I was taken back to the area for the studies, I was relieved that the technician was quite competent. My wife's experience was a bit more exasperating. She had an appointment, and waited 1 and 1/2 hours to be seen. Solis is the place to go next time. read more

( 8-5-20) Don't bother coming to Anthem Simon Med- ever. Even with an appointment expect a 2+hr wait while your ride sits outside running a/c in cooking car since there's no shade. Even with this covid-19 they pack in clients like sardines- even when many question the receptionist about the number of people in the waiting room. Geez- even if you forget social distancing due to Covid-19 they should at least follow fire occupancy laws. The receptionist was well aware of the horde of people in the waiting room as they signed in. Many would get tired of waiting & leave. The rest sitting close together, hoped their masks might give them some protection from whatever the others could be carrying. Crazy! For being a so called Medical facility they should be avoided for not following basic precautions. Sure makes me wonder if they even bother cleaning xray surfaces between patients? I was hoping they followed basic machine cleaning protocols but I'm beginning to wonder. You can be certain that no one is cleaning their waiting room during the day like at most doctor offices who limits their number of occupants. Its safer to shop at Walnart than go to Simon Med. At Walmart- the carts are cleaned between clients & you see workers spot cleaning other equipment/floors/counters all the time & they limit the number of people entering to promote social distancing. I will state that the MRI technician was nothing short of excellent. I completed all my paperwork on line 3 days prior for my appointment. I arrived early for my 3:45 check in. I was asked again to complete my paperwork. My MRI appointment was for 4:00pm. I had prepped for my appointments, and won't go into that personal information. At 4:15pm I asked the receptionist how long would I have to wait. She informed me that I would have to wait until 5:00pm. I asked to speak to a manager. I was informed that there was no manager on site. I noticed that many customers / patients were waiting for quite awhile. One older lady stated that she had been waiting about 2 hours. One lady walked in to the reception area with a dog! One lady who appeared to be in a lot of pain did not have her mask covering her face. I WAS NOT LED INTO THE MRI UNTIL AFTER 6:00PM!!!!!!! I've called Simon several times to share my experience with no avail. I've reached out to corporate executives with no avail. I've come to the conclusion that they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THEIR PATIENTS / CUSTOMERS! Simon Medical after looking at there reviews continue to overbook and take advantage of their sick customers. The only conclusion I have come up with is that they are OVERLY GREEDY AND DON'T HAVE ANY CONSIDERATION FOR THEIR CLIENTS. I will NEVER return. read more

Horrible scheduling!! I scheduled an appointment last week. Got to the appointment and was told they are completely booked and it's a 3 hr wait. They said to come in Early in the morning when they open. So I did... then was told that I have to come back in the afternoon to be seen. So I came back (3rd attempt now). The worst experience EVER! I was there for over 3 hours. VERY unorganized. I had to get a couple different tests done. After my first test, I was placed in a waiting room by the tech who had just done a CT scan on me and was told "I'll be right back, I need to set up the XRAY room" I waited for over 40 minutes to have the Tech (who had done my first test) come in to the waiting and call on someone who arrived after me. I asked him why I hadn't been called yet and he said, "I was told you were a no show." WTH, he just did a CT scan on me. You can't make this stuff up! TERRIBLE experience. read more

SimonMed has an inadequate check in system requiring one to be online. Provider ordered my test to include an ultrasound in addition to imaging by 3D. I went through 45 minutes trying to do the encouraged online scheduling then had to call and wait and finally speak with a person to schedule the two appointments for back to back times. Simonmed waits until I am done with the 3D portion and then says oh well we don't see the order for the ultrasound so we cant do it it is written on the same page! Never trust these imbeciles.
