Appointments are at least an hour later than you book it. About 15 minutes after your appointment time they bring you back to a freezing room to wait another 45 minutes or more. I have no idea how they allow someone to be paid and treat customer that way. Based on all the reviews, SimonMed clearly does not care about patients or their treatment. Called (the wrong phone number) 13 minutes before a scheduled appointment to cancel that appointment when I was on my way to that appointment. That appointment had been scheduled for at least 3 weeks. When I showed for my appointment I was told that I would have to reschedule and the snotty girl at the desk acted like it was my fault. I tried to reschedule on the phone later that day but had a hard time understanding and getting through to the person at the call center. So I rescheduled with SMIL hoping that they will do better. I will also be asking my doctors to send imaging orders somewhere other than SimonMed. Dealing with healthcare issues is bad enough. Putting up with terrible healthcare companies and healthcare "professionals" just makes it that much worse. read more

The front office staff are absolutely horrendous. When checking in, one of the girls lied by saying she had tried calling me earlier about the appointment being delayed an hour and a half. I looked on my phone and there was no such call. With technology today, people shouldn't blatantly lie to customers. The other girl was on the phone with a customer rudely telling them that she offered several appointment options and that she couldn't help anymore. Her tone of voice was extremely sarcastic and condescending and she should not be in a customer service job! SimonMed already had a low reputation, and they just lost another customer. read more

​I have been having the worst time trying to schedule an appointment with their team. It is not in my portal to do it myself, and when I call I am told someone named Sienna needs to schedule this. This process has been weeks in the making. Sieanna does not answer her phone or return calls. When I do get someone to schedule this appointment, I immediately am flooded with calls, texts and emails to reschedule for one reason or another. When I call back to reschedule, I get the same loop, that I cannot...I've successfully had this scheduled twice only to need to reschedule. I have called multiple times to have it cancelled, and have been told it is cancelled, yet I'm still harassed non-stop to reschedule. The last person I spoke to was incoherent and rude. I have asked multiple time to be removed from ANY schedules and phone lists, as I will be using a different diagnostic company. In the past, the front desk team is typically fairly rude and the scheduling process is ALWAYS cumbersome. While I appreciate the technicians that do the imaging, getting to them is the biggest hassle. Because I cannot give less than 1 star, that star is really only for the imaging techs. read more

I guess the 2.4 rating says it all. I have had multiple issues at this facility and finally made the switch to Banner imaging. It really should be ZERO stars. I had a clinician that said the F word multiple times during my appointment, just sprinkled through conversation, another one who smelled like the bottom of a chimney, and then they sent me a text 3 months after my mammogram that I should follow up with my doctor. This came 3 months after they told me my exam was clear. Just an overall horribly ran office. Don't come here just because the doctor wrote the order on the script. The reviews all show for more than a year that they have issues getting even close to meeting scheduled appointment times. You would think with this being an issue so often, they would reduce the amount of appointments or increase staffing, or make other changes, but here we are, an hour AFTER my scheduled appointment time and like the dozens of reviewers before me, I sit here, still waiting. This place is chaos. Nothing goes right here. Tried to schedule MRI for my son and they canceled 4 times. I called and asked why they keep canceling and they said they ran out of the time?! Makes no sense to me. Then I came for my x-ray on 01/02/2023. No one here. Front desk receptionist Ashlie did not say hello or anything to acknowledge she saw me. I stood on my crutches for 10 min! The technicians at this facility are very good. The front desk staff I am rating very poorly. Their lack of consideration, customer service & overall unkind demeanor are way below my experience at any imaging center, or business in general. Wish I could submit a negative rating based on the billing and insurance processing department for this imaging facility!! My fathers physician wrote and submitted a STAT MRI order for this location and whoever processes these orders for authorization submitted it as a routine MRI and not a STAT which is a difference of 72 hours versus a 2 week paper processing turn around time. Unfortunately until he gets his back imaged his physician will not administer his pain injection shot for some relief. After what seems like a 1000 phone calls and multiple in person visits to all offices ordering physician, insurance and SimonMed no one can seem to close the loop on this paperwork disaster because whoever submitted the pre-authorization for the MRI submitted it as routine instead of clicking STAT!! FRUSTRATING beyond belief and my father is still in pain!!! For update purposes to this review I quickly received an email from their marketing lead to follow up on my issue however the number of the manager I was given goes straight to voicemail and no further response by the Simonmed team has been made nor has there been a resolution! read more

Arrived 20 minutes early to my appointment, waited about 50 minutes just to be told they're behind schedule and told me to come back in an hour. This is unacceptable, and the woman at the front desk with curly hair was being quite rude to the elderly patients asking questions. Please get it together. I have always had a positive experience with this location. I have, unfortunately for me, had the pleasure of working with all the imaging areas from MRI, Ultrasound, Mammogram, CT, X-ray. The front desk is always busy but very helpful and friendly. And the imaging and US techs are very kind and professional. And anytime there was a delay(understandable when you're working with peoples different medical needs and unpredictable delays) they have notified me of the wait time change. I will continue to go here for my future imaging needs. read more

UPDATE: I just received a call from the so-called Manager at the Ahwatukee location. First off, Jennifer was very rude, sarcastic and had an attitude. She told me she was at the front desk and the person who waited on me. When I told her how in appropriate it was to have another employee standing there and bad talking the Dobson location, she said real sarcastically that she spoke to the employee afterwards. I told her as a manager herself, she should have stopped that conversation and if anything, tell the other employee she was busy, and they could chat later. (Not where all of the patients are waiting) She said with a real attitude "Thank you for telling me how to do my job better". Her total demeanor was awful, and she had nothing but an attitude. Jennifer is a poor example of a manager and should be retrained in customer service. All of her apologies were not sincere and done with a total attitude. Because of her attitude we never got to the point of discussing the x-rays and the extra radiation I received. She said her name was Jennifer and if I had any more questions to call her on the back line of 480-763-7283. Well, it rings and rings and then it hangs up on you. So,I wasn't able to address the issue with the extra radiation I received. This needs to be reported to Jennifer's manager. This is totally unacceptable behavior. I also see that there are other complaints like mine about the front desk staff. That doesn't say much. The Ahwatukee location has always been interesting to say the least and not in a good way. Employees are not that friendly at the front desk, they act like your bothering them. They don't tell you anything, I always have to ask questions. I.e. do I wait here, should I go back to the waiting room ? A simple "your checked in, you can wait in the waiting room and someone will call you shortly" but no, they are to busy chatting with friends, talking about the meeting at the Dobson location and how all the employees walked out. Real professional. Oh but she has no problem demanding my $9 and some change payment.Then the X-ray tech is new, took him forever to get me positioned for the x-rays and had to do at least one or two over. I told him I'm concerned about the radiation, he said not to worry. He was nice and trying to do his job but he needs more training. I could hear him asking another tech after each x-ray if it was alright, and I could hear the other guy tell him it wasn't. This guy should not have been left alone and needs more training. X-rays are serious with the radiation. This X-tra radiation concerns me. This locations front desk has a TOTAL LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. I have been here many times and it always seems to be the same at the front desk. I only went here because of my clinic. It was easier for them. Never again. Your staff and management should take lessons and training from Banner. They are so courteous,professional, and they show how they care for their patients. They make you feel good. Simonmed makes you feel awful like your just a number and they are a revolving door clinic who only cares about their money, not the patient. I don't know why you even do these surveys as it seems you get worse instead of better. NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The experience was terrible. I've been in healthcare for many years and patients have , many times complained about SimonMed to a point where they've asked to be referred somewhere else. Today I experienced it myself. I called centralized scheduling to get information because my 7 year old needs an X-ray. They told me I could walk in and as long as I was there before 5pm, it wouldn't be a problem. I walked in at 4:10pm (my daughter was off school at 3:55) and waiting in line to check in for about 5min. When it was my turn to check in, there were two ladies at the front desk, one started to get my info and the other chime to tell me, they couldn't see us because they closed at 5pm. I mentioned it was 4:15pm but she said, sorry you can come back tomorrow. The tech has to leave at 5pm! There were 2 people sitting out in the lobby. She even said, I don't know why the centralized scheduling staff tell you to come in this late! Again! It was 45 minutes before close. She gave me my order back and said you can come another day and come earlier next time, and that was it! Terrible service level! I'm asking my provide for an order to go to another imaging facility other than Simonmed! read more

I've been to many locations for CTs, MRI, and Xrays. Let me tell you that Nothing has changed. I gave them a shot again because of location. Sad to say that it is exactly the same as it was a few years ago. Front desk is just incompetent and rude. This review isn't even about my personal experience but one that I witnessed. For starters, one of the girls had her headphones in and then had the nerve to treat a patient so rudely. I am so bummed and actually felt bad for the guy. Life is already hard enough for all of us that we need to remember to be kind and patient. & If you are a potential future patient reading this, you have options!! I'm hoping my experience was an outlier and not the norm. I have nothing to say about the images or studies. If a certain level of service, empathy or helpfulness are at all important then maybe it's not the best for you. If you don't care then they clearly don't either and you won't be disappointed. Here to get a simple x-ray completed. Although I had a 3:00 appointment, showed up 15 minutes early I was told x-rays are only by walk-in. So then I was told it would be a 30 minute wait. 1 hour and 45 minutes later I was still in the waiting room. This is the worst run imaging center I have been to in my life, and I refuse to give them my business. If you need an x-ray and have 1 1/2 hours of your life to spend in a waiting room, come-on-down. It's completely ridiculous that you cannot make an appointment for an X-Ray. There is no way to call ahead for wait times either. I came in yesterday for a walk in and they said it would be a 4 hour wait. I came today at 7:30 to make sure I was first in line. It is now 9:54 and I still have not been seen. Front desk is unfriendly and the 20 more minutes explanation has now been 30 minutes ago. I will never come here again. read more

Made an appointment for 10am and was received by the technician within five minutes of arriving. She was very friendly and had outstanding bedside manner. I'm giving this office 2 BUT the young gal in the front 5for going above and beyond with her customer svc! She definitely had skills and assisted me making things as pleasant as she could, thank you! My appt was sch late afternoon the day prior by the Orthopedic office. I knew and the orthopedic office knew my insur required referral approval. So when the orthopedic office advised my MRI was the next morning at 730am, ck in at 710am "I PRESUMED MY INSUR APPRVD THE MRI" and everything's a GO! New to AZ I left extremely early for my appt(I'm in Maricopa and traffic into town is busy) However when I could see I was pushing the 710am I called the office. No on answers and a mesg comes on advising their closed. I wait and call again, spoke to a gal and she advised they were still waiting for the approval from my insur. I was literally around the corner, I inquired if there was a reason no one called me? She advised they did, I checked my vm NO ONE CALLED..... I arrive still check in but was advised if they didn't have the approval they couldn't see me at 730am or at all at that location... smh I had to wait to call the Orthopedic and Insur Co since they didn't open till 8am (go figure) by that time of 8am obviously it was past my appt. According to my insur co the MRI was approved the day b4 my appt by the Orthopedic and she gave me the approval number. REALLY SMH, so what exactly happened? How was that over looked? So here I am, in pain, got up extremely early to be at this appt and missed my appt while I was sitting in the lobby waiting for the orthopedic and insur co to open only to be told IT WAS APPROVED!! The front office gal did help me find another location and I had to drive there, luckily the same day. My follow up with my orthopedic MRI review was already sch for the following week. Things went well in Sun Lakes@SimonMed even though their reviews were unsatisfactory online. I'm still just wondering how SimonMed over looked the MRI was approved since the day prior? I understand we're all human, I mean I didn't even get a call and I feel like I did all the leg work not to mention I was already there when advised! When checking in I waited 20 mins. Then upon filling out paper work the front office lady told me I was late, and the tech would work me in. Well I waiting in line 20 mins. so I was on time. Then I told her I was on time. When walking away the other office lady mumbled under her breath, you need to come earlier then. They are very rude. if you don't like what you do get a new job. cause I'll pop the shit out you. I don't tolerate the disrespect. This place is a joke. No X-ray tech when you scheduled. Told he was stuck in traffic then here them say he may not show up at all. Everyone should go elsewhere for their services!!! We experienced horrible customer service at this location in June. The front desk lady by the name of Gabriella was rude and unprofessional. She said we owed a $471.65 copay. I told her no, we owe $50. She refused to take anything less. I asked to speak to her manager and Gabriella stated she was gone. It's September and I'm still waiting to be refunded what you guys over charged me. Avoid this dreadful place. I even called corporate and I'm still waiting. This company should be out of business! I was scheduled for the wrong procedure 2 times, a rep told me that the procedure I had orders for was not a procedure and I was talking about annX-Ray... I was finally scheduled for the correct procedure and after they charged my co pay they told me that the procedure could not be done... the office stated that the refunded my card... they didn't... I called billing and was told they would refund once my claim got to them... they didn't and now they cannot find the claim... asking to speak with management results in disconnected calls or invalid phone numbers... buyer beware! read more

Scheduled a mammogram at this location as the Chandler location was booked. The receptionist and assistant who took me back to the exam area were exceptionally professional and friendly. The mammogram technician, however, was impersonal, dismissive and only as helpful as she had to be. When I mentioned that this was the first time this exam had been painful, she ignored my comment. I will do my best to not schedule at this location again. Too bad, because the other staff members were great. read more

Office experience is awful. Front desk girl with dark curly hair is shorter with glasses is extremely condescending. It's clear she does not like her job. Lady with wheelchair came to the desk and she asked her if she could stand up to further assist. It's people like her that fail the healthcare system. While nobody is being rude to her she could learn to understand most people in here are in some sort of pain or going through something awful and she makes the experience that much more uncomfortable with her negative energy which can be seen and felt from a mile away. There was so much attitude helping an older lady who wanted to use her HSA card and front desk girl said "I asked you how much you wanted to use" because the lady didn't know how much was on the card and it was declined. Experience like this literally put me in a bad mood for the rest of my day. I can't believe these are the heroes that we rely on. Might I add my appointment was at 830 I arrived at 810 and at 903 was still not seen despite adhering to the offices policy. So much disrespect today. I would never recommend this location to anyone. It's more than just an inconvenience, it's time off work, driving all the way down there, not to mention delaying an important diagnostic exam. This place is completely useless. I had called on a Monday to schedule an appointment for an x-ray on knee that was needed. I was quickly informed that they did not take appointments for x-rays and would need to do a walk-in which I said that was fine. I scheduled a ride to my provider three days as required so that I could show up on Thursday. Throughout the week I was barraged by calls by this company reminding me to come down. The last call was on Thursday, which was the day I was scheduled to come down. Now mind you I'm already frustrated because my ride was an hour late, which had nothing to do with them but still. Instead of showing up at one like I should've showed up at two. I was still thinking that it would be OK and walk through the doors. Unfortunately, as soon as I showed up, I found out that they're no longer taking appointments today because they are full. This was the reason I tried to schedule a appointment in the first place for a time and date so that this could be avoided. I received no phone call regarding them being full and now I have wasted my whole day in a days worth of pay from my job on getting here in the first place. And then top of that I know have no x-ray. This is the most pathetic excuse for customer service I've ever seen. read more

The most inaccessible billing department I have ever encountered. Every time I tried to call their customer service, it takes about 45min to 1hr before someone picks up the phone. To make matters worse, sometimes their phone line will be so busy, that automatic answer machine would lag or it would just hang up suddenly (wasting 1 hour of wait time). Poor customer service. Staff at front desk were having a personal conversation while I waited. Another staff member then assisted me. He then went on to state that I would need to pay an almost $600 deductible when my insurance company said it should be zero. I ended up leaving as you are required to pay upfront before the insurance is billed. There is no one you can talk with about issue. read more

They are absolutely and completely ineffcient when it comes to getting patients checked in. They open at 7 am and it is always busy, yet they have one person behind the desk who is overwhelmed and scrambling to get people checked in. Much of the time, part of the wait is because techs are ALWAYS late and no one seeems to hold them accountable for it!!!! There paperwork system is completely ancient. I have used Care Credit several times for my visits; even though they advertise they will accept it, almost no one on staff is trained in how to enter the information.
