The service was ok, it could have been better considering the restaurant wasn't busy & I asked my server for an extra marinara and refill of my beverage. The food was tasty & plentiful. A little bit pricey..but isn't everything? I had roasted w/salt & pepper wings. Served w/celery (blue cheese - not shown) and mild sauce. Then ordered a Philadelphia Cheese Steak calzone that could have fed 4 people. The sauce was perfect for dipping. Definitely, had half for leftovers on Saturday. We ordered takeout and had meatballs and a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza with the white pizza and cheese pizza. The pizza was a little bland - the white pizza had more flavor, but the amount of ricotta was a bit much. The cheese pizza lacked flavor. The crust was thin and crispy. The meatballs were okay. The food was ready when we arrived for pickup. Service was friendly. The restaurant is in a strip mall - they have tables available to dine in. Pizza in the area seems to be a challenge to find amazing options. read more

The pizza and pasta at Simonetti's is very good and super reasonable for the area. I feel the bruschetta appetizer could improve with more toast to the bread to keep it from getting soggy. Our waitress Haley was a doll and provided excellent and friendly service. I am not a fan of the paper plates for serving but we will continue to return regardless. read more

Never been there before. Walked in and received no greeting or direction. Finally saw a sign that said "Seat Yourself". Ok, I did that. First person who walked up asked if I knew what I wanted. (very gruff) Next person seemed to be put out by my presence. Same greeting. "Do you know what you want? What can I get you to drink?" I requested unsweetened tea and splenda. That is "the yellow pack, right?" Finally got Pepsi Zero, I think since they had no splenda. The Pepsi came in a takeout cup. I hope it was Pepsi. I ordered and they brought my food and that was the last I saw of them. I got up and paid at the register and left. I won't be back. The spaghetti was just ok, not good. I've known about this place in Belmont for another of years but never in the area around lunch of dinner time. Since we moved to Denver NC last summer, it's now somewhat closer so decided to give it a try yesterday. It's only about a 20 to 25 minute drive from Denver via NC Hwy 16 to I-485 for about 5 miles and them I-85 South to the Second Belmont Exit and then South to US-74 and you're there. Sounds like a lot but it really isn't. Couldn't find my mask in my pocket when I got out of the car so went back for it. My wife went ahead and was a already seated when I walked in. In other words, she was seated immediately. It's an Old School Italian Family Restaurant much like you would find in NJ parts of NY City, Western PA and NE OH. Very nice rustic setting. Menu is fairly extensive with something for everyone. My wife ordered water which I went with my traditional Unsweetened Tea. We ordered the Mozzarella Sticks with Marinara Dipping Sauce. the Mozzarella Sticks were delicious but the Marinara Sauce did not have a robust tomato flavor. When the Mozzarella came out, we had to ask for silverware because it had been overlooked when we were seated. ] For our entrees, my wife ordered a Philly Cheese Steak Stromboli that was enormous. Too much to anyone including me to eat in one seating. I had the Lasagna and it was delicious as well although the flavor like the Marinara could have been a bit more robust. Hello New York! If you are looking for a legit New York style restaurant this is it. It's hidden in a strip mall that has seen better days. The sign is, well, less than flashy but I can get over that. We over ordered... but the leftovers were great. We started with the garlic knots and wings. Both better than average and came out hot and fast. We followed that up with a HUGE Greek salad that was fantastic. I'm not a big salad person but I appreciated the crisp greens and classic Greek salad. The big winner.... the pizza! There are other New York style pizza places around but we haven't found a crisp crust like this. The crust was absolutely awesome. We ordered pizza plain cheese in the 16". The sauce was neutral, not too sweet, not too many spices/seasoning, it was just right. The cheese was good, no dripping grease bomb that seems to be a classic error. Totally awesome and we would happily go back. The hang up is the dining room and foam cups. The dining room is pretty tired overall. Although the booths have been redone, the random TV seems misplaced and the radio... or whatever that was cut in and out and was super annoying. We got there for dinner really early so I'm not sure it would be that noticeable if there was more going on but the flashes of silence and music was uncomfortable. I visited Belmont to see friends in town. What a cute booming little town. Stopped at Simonetti's for pizza. They did not disappoint. The restaurant was crowded... always a good sign. We ordered a basic cheese pizza...maybe noting yo most but it tells a lot about the restaurants sauce and quality of cheese. Well, the three of us left full and satisfied. Pizza was good a few months back and slowly, every order it becomes less and less. The whote pie was great and then they stopped asking about fresh basil and then they were "out" when we'd order and today we got two cheese (as opposed to three) on their Bianca pie and again no basil. Too much olive oil too so the pie tastes like olive oil with texture. The pepperoni, very simple, hard to mess up. (Sigh) I cant even describe how frustrating it is to pay $15 for a pie that I could have got better consistency from the $5 guys, they taste the same at this point with as bad of quality. read more

If you're just craving a pizza I would say it's not a horrible choice. I ordered a plain cheese pie, because that's how I determine whether a pizzeria is official or not! If you can't make a good cheese pizza you might as well close shop. Their cheese pizza was decent and satisfied my pizza craving, I would only come here for pizza. We also ordered a Chicken Picatta and it was awful! It tasted like pasta from a hospital cafeteria. It was extremely bland and looked very unappealing. It was very soupy and definitely didn't meet our expectations. Their prices are too high for the quality of their food. I don't think I'll return, not even for their decent pizza. read more

Place is awesome. I live in Lake Wylie, SC and I go to Simonetti's, which is 30 mins away and in another state (granted we're near the border!), for pizza. Very good sauce, I assume whole milk mozzarella. This is "football pizza". Nothing fancy. No basil, no fancy ovens from Naples - they put down a pizza stand and paper plates and you go to town. This is a straight up NY/CT/NJ style "pizzeria". My kids love their garlic knots and Penne alla Vodka too. read more

This is my go to Pizza restaurant, They have the best Pizza in Belmont! The staff knows my order by heart and get it right every time. I do not recommend ordering extra meat toppings as it makes the pizza to greasy. They put a lot of toppings on there pizzas anyway which is another reason I love this restaurant. We happened to be in the plaza ware its located and decided to run in for a pie. Its cute and reminds me of a mom n pop place. Well let me just say the chicken piccata is the best I've ever had! O I used to live in NY so this is saying ALOT! I ate my entire plate I usually have left overs but I couldn't put down my fork! First time I have been here in several years. $20.00 for a large Supreme. This was a to go order so I can't comment on service or the employees much. Person who took my order was friendly enough and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. Inside the restaurant was clean and pleasant. The pizza was good but not excellent. For the money I would probably just go to pizza hut next time. Biggest problem was the dough became very chewy when reheated. Never had that happen before with reheating pizza in the oven. When I walked in I was not greeting by the staff, I stood there for over five minutes before someone came from the back and greeting me. My pizza was about 20 minutes late and they didn't seem too busy or too rushed, also there were small children wondering around in the kitchen which I thought was odd. Once the pizza came the appearance was great and the topping and crust were good but the sauce was bland and was lacking in flavor.
