We just did not experience those things here. The house itself is beautiful and well maintained, considering its age. The room (suite 5) was clean and spacious, and we loved relaxing on the screened-in porch at night. I would stay elsewhere on any future trips to Yellow Springs.

Just booked the room this time tonight and again was told that it was already booked they had just forgot to take it off air bnb . If they just dont want my business then get a spine and just say so and i will go somewhere else

Queen bed, lots of chairs, even a TV with a DVD player. In the hall is the Smith Library, full of books, games, dvds, and music. The house itself is lovely, lots of common rooms downstairs. The grounds are just as nice. We had a wonderful visit and can't wait to come back. It's minutes from Wittenberg University, so I'm sure we'll be back a lot in the next four years.

From Jailhouse, it's a short walk, say five minutes, down to the heart of the town, and the famed Little Miami trail. This is a perfect location for those hoping to enjoy what the town has to offer. When we pulled up, we were amazed how beautiful this building is. The landscape was gorgeous(they have a garden area) and love the color of the building. The owner was great with communication, paid credit card over the phone and did not have to check in through a lobby/front desk, put in a code on the front door. That easy. We got the suite which was on the top floor. We walked in and loved it. It was newly renovated and really clean. Awesome decor. It did not feel like a hotel. There was a kitchen, (pots pans, utensils refrigerator, filtered water) and a keurig coffee maker (which is a bonus), widescreen tv (in living room and bedroom), dining area, extra toiletries if needed, extra towels, and building is solar energy My only con was the bed was not comfortable and the hot water did not stay long if you wanted to take a bath. I would highly recommend this place if you would like to stay in Yellow Springs. Only minutes away from downtown.

The event was held in the main barn, and below the event space there is a beautiful suite for overnight stay. The suite features a full kitchen, spacious living and dining area, and a large bedroom with a huge bathroom with beautiful stone walls! The wedding was a wonderful success, and the venue is the reason why. The staff is incredible and professional. Photo opportunities on the property are almost endless, and span a variety of styles. I absolutely loved my time here, and I am already planning a stay for myself and my husband.

The House was dripping with history, the décor was so amazing, I found myself just sitting and looking around as if I were sitting in a history book photo. We were there on a bike trip with another couple. The house is right off the Xenia Paths. They had secure storage for our bikes and a place for them to plug in. The price was more than reasonable. If you're looking for a B&B, do yourself a favor and book this place. We WILL be back.
