Penny at Dr. Maxson's office immediately reached out to the endodontist to discuss why the endodontist would not accept the CT scan. Then she arranged a call between Dr. Zen (Dr. Maxson's office) and the endodontist. They discussed the diagnosis and the CT scan findings. The endodontist agreed to accept the CT scan from Dr. Maxson's office. I was extremely pleased the way Penny immediately responded to my review and advocated for me with the endodontist. I further discovered that Dr. Maxson's office proactively takes the CT scan at a discounted price to help patients save on this costly procedure as other specialists charge a much higher price for the CT scan. I really appreciated the proactive actions by Penny and the support from Dr. Zen to help me with the referring endodontist. I want to thank Penny for her excellent customer service.

At first everything was going well and fast like I was the only one there so I thought that was really cool. I was tired just got done working a 12 hour shift overnight at the hospital but was there relaxing while they did what they needed to do. The tech came in a did my x ray and didn't realize she did leave up other patient information but after that the doctor immediately came in and preceded to look at my teeth. He did the tapping and pressure test which didn't hurt but the cold test hurt. I tried to explain to him my tooth does not hurt every second or every time you touch it but he told me that it was not enough proof to prove I needed a root canal. After I said okay in confusion, he confused me even more and said "but who knows you may come in a bunch of pain tomorrow and need one" and that's when I was very confused. I asked him if I still would need one and he said most likely yes. He said he wanted me to get my wisdom tooth looked at instead to see if that helps with the pain but I still might need to come back for a root canal. So I said " so if I come in tomorrow "lying" I'm in a bunch of pain you'll do it?" He stood up, raised his voice and proceeded to say " I can't believe you would say that", " I don't like your attitude", "We can't see you here", etc. He then left the room as I sat in the chair in disbelief ready to burst into tears. He came back into the room told me to get my stuff and leave as he walked me out he continued to yell at me in front of his staff and patients and said he was going to call my dentist to tell them I'm lying. I went to my car and called my mom bawling my eyes out. I'm a girl in my late 20s but yes I called my mom because I have never in my life experienced anything like that. I tried to call the next day to file a formal complaint but the office manager Lindsay said she did not know how too and in my personal opinion she didn't seem to care to help me out or apologize. He did call my dentist to share his side of the story and they booked me days later to re-evaluate. So the delay of care kind of sucked but when I saw my dentist she informed me I will need a root canal on that tooth. That's why they referred me over there in the first place. I didn't ask for a root canal, I was just going through the process my dentist office told me to go. I just wanted to know what my tooth needed to be done the proper way. Maybe it was us not understanding each other, maybe he had a bad night, I'm a very understanding person but how I was treated was not acceptable and I've spoken to a lot of medical doctors about the situation who can agree it was truly unprofessional even if you didn't like the patient you don't treat any human being that way.
