I purchased an OTR microwave and refrigerator from Trail Appliances in Vancouver. That part was smooth and easy. Simon came to install our OTR microwave and disconnect our fridge ice maker line. He was very methodical and carefully removed the old microwave and installed the new one. The fridge water line was also removed but he did not have a cap for where the water line met our existing plumbing. He told me to go to Home Depot to buy a cap. I bought a cap, installed it, and it leaked. He was unwilling to come back and fix it as his job was to disconnect the water line. We had a plumber friend fix it for free, after asking why the teflon tape was installed the wrong way, causing the leak. That has been resolved. The second issue (which is still unresolved nearly 2 weeks later) was with the microwave. It is a new kind with a bottom piece that pops out for ventilation over the range (great feature) but the left side was crooked and scrapes on microwave door when it is opened. His customer service team disputes our claim, despite clear photos, saying that it came this way in the box. So now we have paid $120 for a water line removal and $275 ($25 more than Trail Appliances said we would pay) for an installation that isn't correct. read more
