Quoted $300-500 for a 2 hr under sink Home Depot bought water filtration system. requested experienced plumber. Plumber sent admitted they weren't familiar w installing water filtration system and had to read about it night before. Job took 5.5 hrs - we were charged roughly $1200 including $250 for basic ABS plastic drain kit. Requested management to review billing after calling company. Was told to email. Emailed 2x heard nothing back. I guess their promise of customer guarantee didn't apply to me...? if you want premium pricing and a company that supports traiNing on the job at your expense this is the company to hire. Super let down, but at least the water filtration system isn't leaking.... read more

At no time was the technician/servicemen, or the dispatch lady discourteous, I have been using Lambert for 15 years for plumbing as well as heating maintenance. A recent encounter however informed me that management has pivoted to a new business model. Accordingly I am dropping the rating. During a scheduled forced air furnace service, the technician informed me that the belt had cracked. I asked to have it replace since he was already here. He said that they do not carry parts in the van. I was surprised as I was not asking for a new water heater or new furnace; I was only asking for a belt that weighs a few ounces in a box smaller than a frozen pastry puff box. He said I needed to have the office arrange another visit. So this otherwise 10-minute job (or less) required another appointment. The official line while making the new appointment was that it was not possible to carry all parts on a visit. In addition to the first $220 maintenance visit, Lambert invoiced me for a $194.25 belt replacement, on the justification that parts like belt are not carried in the van on a maintenance visit. The front line person on the phone later admitted that it should be billed as a return rate instead of a first call rate. Regardless, I still have to spend an extra ~$130. I find it very inefficient for the customers in terms of time, very expensive to pay for another hour's rate for an otherwise 10-minute job and I find the extra billings accruing to Lambert to be 'fake' economic activities. We are all poorer for this. read more

So Pacific Ace Plumbing repaired a bathtub faucet back in late July 2023. Well, the faucet diverter valve failed after it was replaced just over a year. I found out that Lambert Plumbing had bought Pacific Ace Plumbing. So I explained to the woman who answered my call about my situation. She said she would get back to me in a few days, and she did. However the warranty was over as it was just a few days after a year the valve was replaced. I said that it was a new valve and it should've lasted more than a year. Her response was "well at least it lasted a year" I responded " the original lasted over 25 years!" she just said sorry, we can come out and look at it and charge you for checking it and replacement. This is after I spent $350.00 replacing the valve. I expressed my displeasure as being in the service business as an electrical contractor myself, I would never put a previous client with a similar uncomfortable situation, especially a few days after a year when work was done. I would discuss and come to a mutual agreement and not just shut them out with a response the one I received. read more

Updating my previous review based on several more great experiences with Lambert's. These folks are just aces: Their dispatch and customer service ladies are super nice and accommodating, service is prompt, every plumber who's ever showed up has arrived right on time and been lovely, quick, and efficient--and their pricing is totally reasonable and fair. Highly recommend this great local company, they have become our go to whenever issues arise! read more

The service help on the phone were helpful, it wasn't til I actually had to deal with the plumbers where the red flags came up. First visit, the plumber came to see what was wrong. He said he would return in two days to replace the faucet. Second visit, we waited and he never showed up. We called the office and they said there was a mixup. They set up an appointment for another day. Third visit, the plumber replaced the faucet. It was working well, but an hour or two after they left, there was no pressure. Fourth visit, the plumber came again to fix the faucet. We were charged just over 500 dollars for this fiasco. Two hundred was for a new faucet. What a fiasco. Anybody else recommend a better company? read more

Had a great experience with Ryan despite the frustration in dealing with warranty issues and multiple wrong shipments from Delta for our touch faucet. After 3 mistakes by Delta, Ryan convinced them to give us a new faucet which they refused me when I called in. He dealt with the Delta ordering and call ins when they shipped the wrong things. I appreciated his patience and advocacy for our needs. read more

Typical bill inflating, the first thing that comes out of their mouths on every point of contact with Lambert is the price: $140 for the first 45 minutes, $98 per hour each our after. When they tell you costing as quickly as saying hello, you know their agenda. Most of the positive reviews on Google are for plumbing issues, which are more B&W so I think it's a lot harder to pad a bill by deliberately wasting time than it is for fixing something like an AC heat pump. The young asian kid that came here did absolutely nothing for the first hour other than look at the unit and check the temperature. He told me within the first 30 minutes it was low on freon, but still didn't get moving on filling it for another 40 minutes. When he eventually started filling it, the actual time was about 35 minutes. He was at my house for 150 minutes total, I think about 15 minutes of that was writing the bill, and billed me a total of $336 just for the labour alone. I understand that things take a little time to assess, but I was absolutely charged for 3 hours to do at most at most a 2 hour job. All that was done was giving the unit 3 pounds of freon. That was the repair. I was billed $402 to top up the freon, which took 35 minutes. In most jobs, the goal is to determine the issues as quickly as possible and fix them. With Lambert it's clear the agenda is to drag things out as long as possible to get into another hour's billing period. Maybe for plumbing, but never for AC repairs. read more

I contacted several plumbing companies online via email, none responded in a timely fashion except for Lambert. We had a toilet issue and they dispatched someone right away, a very pleasant young guy who fixed it on the spot within the hour. Their prices are fair, however, I'm sure if you shopped around, there might be some other places that are cheaper out there but for me, I prefer to pay for quality service, peace of mind and a guarantee that if something goes wrong, they will come back and fix the issue. You pay for what you get! read more

It was time to have my furnace inspected after three years of just letting it do it's job. I did a quick search, and decided on Lambert. I couldn't be happier. Their technician arrived promptly and after I quick orientation I let him do his job. He was pleasant and obviously knowledgeable. I had only one request and I got the help I needed - I wanted a higher temperature setting on my boiler. He raised the temp and then patiently showed me how to make future changes. He also gave me good advice about where to find the unusual sized filter needed by my furnace. I'm totally satisfied and I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Nick came to service our gas fireplace today. We were very pleased with the service he provided as well as his pleasant manner. He was punctual, courteous and professional. Nick called before arriving to let us know he was on schedule and, once there, he thoughtfully removed his shoes. He explained what he was doing as he serviced the fireplace and gave us peace of mind by showing us that his instrument detected no leak in our gas line. As a new mother I'm happy to know our fireplace is in good working order and the air in our home is safe for our five week old baby. read more

Great on email/phone, but then they came out to give a quote on a hot water tank replacement, and the quote cost me $150. Wish I'd known it would cost that much for an estimate, I wouldn't have called in the first place. read more

Ryan from Lambert Plumbing & Heating did a great job unplugging our kitchen sink. We had another plumber come in before him that was unprepared & completely failed at the task. Ryan was very friendly, professional & polite and really knew his stuff. read more

We called them to do some repairs based on a google search. They came in for replacement of brass drain and new gasket = $392 = A little too high. I should've read yelp first. The price was high which was my initial complaint, however, the job was done. read more

We have an old house and old pipes that seem to plug easily. I have to say the Joe, the plumber from Lambert, had a suggestion no other plumber had thought of (or mentioned). Instead of it being a plugging up issue maybe it was a venting issue. Makes sense, we have spend a fortune having other plumbers charge us to clean our drains, never completely fixing the problem. I would definitely use Lambert Plumbing again. read more

I called Lambert Plumbing to have several issues (blocked toilet, leaking faucet and sinks that didn't work) repaired at a condo unit. Their tech Brandon arrived on time, worked quickly and knew what he was doing. He got everything done in under an hour and the charge was reasonable. I would use Lambert again. read more

We had both Ryan and Dan come in for separate unrelated issues in the same week and they were skilled, conscientious, and pleasant. Both were happy to walk me through the action plan - I live in a strata so being able to relay info is definitely helpful. Very happy to have running water restored! and will add them to our strata contact list for sure. read more

I've been relying on Lambert Plumbing for over 15 years. It's a family business and I find the work to be impeccable. I've had a new furnace installed , toilets replaced, sink and bath taps replaced and all done right the first time. They treat their staff right and the payback is professional work at the standard plumber rate. No cutting corners. If you want a cheap slipshod job go somewhere else. I've tried Hillcrest and they don't treat their plumbers nicely resulting in grouchy service done in a rush as they have quotas per day. The parts are also crap which means callbacks to fix leaking parts. Stay with a smaller but competent outfit like Lambert and work is done courteously the first time. read more

We recently used Lambert Plumbing and the gentleman was great, extremely helpful and provided solutions for us considering the leak happened on a weekend. To help us be efficient on the repair, he allowed us to prepare the area in question ourselves so that he had access to the repairs that needed to be done. Lambert is my "go to" for all my future plumbing needs. read more

I called to replace a hot water tank and they did a swap over. But, they said I had to get the gas permit from the city. When the fellow finished the installation he said it would never pass city inspection because I needed vacuum valve and new shut off. I went to the city to get the permit and the inspector was angry that Lambert had done the work without taking out a permit and I was concerned about my insurance. I went back to Lambert and paid for the permit as the inspector said they had to take it out not me as they did the work. Lambert's office then called again and again to do the valve and shutoff - the plumber before leaving had quoted me $350 to come back and do the work. I got another company to do it for less and they maintained that most plumbers carry these $30 valves and simply put them in with a slight upcharge. The second company plumber said the shutoff was okay, old but still holding. The city came to inspect the work and failed the installation as I needed to strap my tank for seismic events and secondly my old exhaust vent going from the chimney was three inch and the new requirements are four inch. These are all requirements under the code that plumbers should know about. . I called Lambert to say that the installation had been failed and the party I spoke to was apologetic but said she had to check with the inspector. She didn't call back but the party that had been calling about the vacuum valve called and said that I only paid to swap over a new tank from the old one and not the exttras. If I wanted Lambert to come and do the strapping and venting it would cost extra and that the other items, including the permit was also extra. I am paying rates very high rates to have professional peple come out to do the work and disappointed they do not understand what the code requirements are and have an attitude that they just task and do not take any responsibility to ensure the work meets inspection. When you change over a gas hot water tank you need a permit and you need to meet the code and you need to get a city inspection. read more
