I can't say enough good things about Dr. Toth. I (like many folks) have a general fear of…read moredentists... such that I go to one about once every two years or so. Mind you, I brush and floss like a madman in hopes I'll never get a cavity that would require a dental visit. Anyway, after hitting my self-imposed two year schedule for a dental visit I asked several of my coworkers for a recommendation for a dentist in Upper Arlington. Dr. Toth was recommended by two different people, so off I went. My appointment was scheduled quickly and I waited maybe 5 minutes in the waiting room (long enough for me to fill out paperwork). My check up and cleaning went without a hitch. And.... no cavities!!! Also, I appreciated that Dr. Toth did not try to sell me on any cosmetic dental stuff or push extra services that I didn't need. But the biggest reason that I will always recommend Dr. Toth to anyone that will listen is the way he treated my son... My little boy is 3 years old and was scheduled for his first checkup and cleaning a week after my own. We brought him with me on my appointment so he could watch my check up and cleaning. Dr. Toth explained everything he was doing and showed him all the equipment. A week later, when we came back, Dr. Toth's staff was excellent with him and our visit went smoothly. Thank you Dr. Toth. My son and I will both see you in six months (yup, I'm breaking my two year rule.)

I'm now two weeks out from yet another missed follow-up call I was told to expect, and it's just…read morethe latest example of how poorly this office communicates. I established care at this office last year and hoped to complete my Invisalign treatment with them, but they've proven to be completely unreliable and unresponsive. They took impressions twice, two months apart, without ever explaining why that was necessary or why there was a radio-silent delay in the 2 months between these appointments. I've been told multiple times over the course of this year that the dentist would call me with updates, and those promises were consistently broken. I had my initial Invisalign impressions done back in January, and after four months, no one has reviewed a treatment plan with me, shown me any ClinCheck scans, discussed pricing, or asked me to make a payment. These are all steps that should happen early in the process. Not once has anyone proactively reached out to update me. I've had to follow up every step of the way just to find out what's going on. After getting second and third opinions from a dentist and an orthodontist, I learned that this is not how Invisalign treatment is supposed to be handled. Treatment typically begins within a few weeks, not after months of silence. I have no proof that any real progress was made on my treatment plan, and I do not believe this office has been honest with me about the status of my care or that they are properly equipped to handle Invisalign cases. On top of that, I've also been waiting to be scheduled for a routine cleaning since December. It's now May, and that still hasn't happened either. This most recent missed follow-up was the last straw. I'm done wasting time on an office that clearly does not prioritize my dental health. I'm moving my care elsewhere, and my new provider has already shown more transparency and professionalism in regards to Invisalign than I ever experienced here. I do not recommend Hanson General Dentistry for Invisalign or for anyone expecting clear communication and follow through about their care.

So, I went to Anthem's website and was redirected to Liberty Dental. Dr. Barbara Hanson was on the list. I went to the appointment and thought everything would be fine. The Dentist office sent the entire bill to me. I left a message telling the dentist that they should submit it to Liberty. The next month another bill came for the entire amount. I called Anthem and asked what was covered to double check, I was reassured that cleaning exam and xrays were covered. Finally got the office lady to submit it and was still charged $135. I just paid it out of frustration. LESSON LEARNED NEVER GOING BACK!

My son had his wisdom teeth removed on 1/7/2021. In my hindsight, they ran the estimate for treatment with a 2020 date so it came back that our benefits for the 2020 year were depleted so our out of pocket was higher. The surgery was not scheduled until 2021 though, so they ended up collecting almost double the amount from us that they needed to. The insurance company paid them on 1/18/21 and I have been trying to get a final bill out of them since. I have reached out to them three times now. Rebecca states that she is "far behind" because she keeps getting pulled to the front. She has not processed payments that are now over a month old and can give me no idea when she can do so. Conveniently for them delay is in their favor as they are holding several hundred dollars of our money hostage. I have a feeling if we owed them money, they would be in a bigger hurry to send the bill. It is unfortunate that in a time that so many households are struggling due to Covid, that this office can't put some effort into getting their act together. Beware.

I put off having my (non impacted) wisdom teeth out forever. Found myself having more TMJ issues…read moreand teeth crowding, so in my 40s, I decided to have them out. Did some research and found this office was in network with my dental insurance. I left them a message to schedule and they got back to me right away. Walked me through all of the details of scheduling a consultation and completing the digital paperwork. Friendly enough and very helpful/efficient. The office is inside Riverside hospital, which is interesting. Free garage parking for under 2 hours is awesome. Office is down a little hallway, but once you find it once it's easy to navigate. Office is calm, quiet, and clean. It's really nice if you're a nervous person like me. The atmosphere helped keep me calm. Dr Williams and the staff at Williams Oral Care took great care of me! Scheduled my extraction after my initial consult, put the required 50% down. They were in network with my dental insurance so we're able to provide me a near-perfect cost projection ahead of time (this is what the 50% payment was based from). Once my extraction day came, they walked me through the procedure, I signed some more papers, and they got me all ready. I was a little nervous but everyone put me at ease. It was a quick, efficient surgery and went smoothly! I was fully under but zero negative side effects (aside from gagging on all the gauze in my mouth lol). I'm 4 weeks out now and healing well! The whole process sort of isn't pleasant, but if you need oral surgery, I highly recommend Dr Williams' office!

We mistakenly went to the…read moreoffice instead of the surgery center, which was an honest oversight, and ended up arriving about ten minutes late. Despite explaining the situation, we were told our appointment would not be honored. This was especially frustrating because I had flown in from out of town specifically for this visit, and my daughter had taken time off work to be there. Given the circumstances, I expected at least a little understanding or flexibility, but there was none. The lack of compassion and unwillingness to accommodate a minor delay made the entire experience feel dismissive and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend reconsidering how situations like this are handled in the future, as it reflects poorly on patient care.

There was plenty of parking, but there is not a sign on the building since there are numerous businesses in the same building. Once inside it was easy to find the suite thanks to floor directories post right inside the door. Dr. Ness performed the extraction by numbing the left side of my jaw and face. Dr. Ness explained everything very well prior to the procedure, took time to answer my questions, and he had a great personality and very professional. The shots to make my jaw numb didn't hurt because he first used a topical numbing agent, waited a few minutes, and then gave the shots. Within minutes, my tooth was successfully removed with zero pain. Dr. Ness explained everything he was doing through the procedure. Such a good guy! The nurse/dental assistant who helped Dr. Ness was amazing! She was warm, professional, knowledgeable, and she provided me with very clear directions - verbal and written. She also sent me home with a few supplies to use in the first few hours after having my tooth pulled. Later in the afternoon, the same nurse/dental assistant called my home to check on me and to answer any questions I might have. Again, I felt like she and Dr. Ness truly cared about me and did everything they could to make my recovery as smooth as possible. I drove myself home, took two Advil, and waited until the numbness dissipated. Within a few hours my jaw and face was no longer numb and I felt zero pain or discomfort from having the tooth removed. When I woke up this morning, still zero pain or discomfort. The only thing I took were the two Advil immediately after my appointment and I took them as a precaution. A full 36 hours later I can honestly say that I cannot tell that I had a tooth pulled unless I feel the empty space with my tongue. I ate dinner last night and all of my meals today without issue. I attribute the absence of pain to Dr. Ness' expertise and gentle execution of the extraction in addition to the great directions provided by he and his nurse/dental assistant. Many thanks for making an unpleasant procedure a very positive experience!
