He called for the replacement cost and I asked for pricing on one size bigger, after we decided we need a larger unit, he order the replacement air conditioner for next day installation. He arrived exactly on-time for the appointment and increased the air conditioner capacity to fit the actual size. The appointment was finished under the estimated time and they were very courteous through the entire experience. While replacing the air coil, Mike showed me the location for the furnace and humidifier filter allowing me to change it myself. After replacing the air conditioner and removing the old one - he made sure that I had the information needed and made sure that if we had any questions to call his office. Great service and great/honest serviceman. I'll not call anyone else for future HVAC matters and wouldn't hesitate to only shop here when it comes time for me to replace other units. Second great round of service - last time was middle of winter and arriving home from out-of-town with no heat, he was wonderful replacing heater during the negative temperatures.

I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!

Lemanski installed a Rheem furnace in our historic renovation in 2006. The furnace was never turned…read moreon nor a gas line was ever connected to the furnace until Jan 2012. After having it on less then a year, it started to cause a dripping problem. I called a closer HVAC company to take a look at it and they said it was my secondary heat exchange but they did not sell that brand and to call the original installer [Lemanski]. Lemanski sent someone out and in 3 minutes, they diagnosed the same problem the other HVAC person did. That cost $60. I got a call a couple of days later [today] that the part is not covered under warranty. I was told the part was $400, labor to install it was $400, and shipping the part was $40. I was also informed that they could install a new furnace with a full warranty for $1,300 and get a $300 credit from Nicor for it too. Keep in mind, this furnace has never been used until prior to this year, there has never even been a gas or plumbing line connected to it until this year. I took out my booklets and it states it has a warranty. I called the manufacturer and they too verified it is covered under warranty. I called Lemanski back and they tried backtracking, to no avail they had already lost my business by lack of morals alone. They are NOT honest and are scammers. If you are thinking Lemanski, you better have deep pockets and lube! Lastly, remember a warranty is only as good as the people who stand behind it and my rating reflects the worth of this company. P.S., I wish I could rate them negative 3 stars.

Regardless if this guy works on Goodman furnaces or not, this is HIS business. I would think that he should care enough to maybe take a look, it could be something as simple as an ignitor....but if not, a good businessman should care enough to point me in the right direction. First impressions make a difference....I will refer as many people AWAY from Gaul's Climate Control as possible and I will never use them for anything....horrible customer service with regards to the owner!!
