Visited a friend up in the area and ended up at Kenzington Burger Bar. Didn't expect much at first,…read morebut it turned out to be a really solid spot. The server was super understanding and kind enough to accommodate our group, even with one of us arriving late thanks to traffic and all the freezing rain going on. That, plus the laid-back vibe of the place, made it easy to settle in and enjoy the meal. We shared Fried Dills and Porky Poutine to start. I went for the Brie & Fig Burger with onion rings. What I really liked here is how creative the burger menu is. Everything sounded a little quirky in the best way, and honestly, I wanted to try almost all of them. Wish I had more stomachs. The portion sizes were generous too, which made the ride back to Toronto feel extra worth it. They've also got a nice variety of options for people with dietary restrictions, which I always think is worth pointing out. While I felt the food could be polished just slightly in a few spots, that's being picky. Overall quality was solid, and when you pair that with the kind of thoughtful service we got, it just made everything come together. Usually I'm a bit cautious about places that try to do too much, but this one actually pulls it off in a way that feels intentional and fun. Just really glad I had the chance to check it out. Definitely one of those spots I'd return to without hesitation.

And now they have climbed the ranking as they have added one of my favourites BBQ! Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. This was an anniversary dinner that we had at home and it was super awesome. Highlights for me were the mac and cheese (daaayumm) and the jalapeno cornbread. I'm not going to lie, that was the best cornbread I've ever had. And I've been to Nashville. A great little kick and the overall taste is out of this world. I think they may have forgotten the beans but all good. I'm just sad I didn't order more cornbread. The brisket was also great. Order it all!

The accompanying fries were good. They were heartily fried. Tower o rings was good, with crispy breaded rings (not battered) that stayed crispy for really long. That said, it was rather pricey for what was ultimately just onion rings. I suppose when you have it there, since it's presumably actually served as a tower it looks more impressive. W sauce is a creamy sauce. Beechhouse was creamy with some texture (I like that it was labelled so one could distinguish it from the W sauce). Sweet n Tangy was good - slighty spicy.

Edit from first review…read more This is no longer the Shed Smokehouse and clearly a wild wing. My first review unfortunately has nothing to do with this establishment. It's too bad that the system here is unable to differentiate. It's a wing joint. Typical food, typical pricing.

The only thing different is the signage and menu obviously. Terrible tiny wings that are WAY overpriced. Facilities were clean and plenty of seating, especially for groups. Produce was fresh and tasty, everything was prepared to order and was hot, but the quality of the meat was not there for me. I believe I ordered an angus double and the meat felt very farce-y, more like a sausage than ground beef. Real gas station texture, to be perfectly honest. Also my first time trying poutine - the gravy was okay, salt is the main flavor profile, and the cheese didn't have that "squeak" everyone talks about. That didn't stop my sister and I from inhaling it, though. Decent enough to get the job done, I'll be trying other items if I get a chance to return.
