Sushi is Kingston? As a Californian I doubted it could be more than mediocre but I was seriously wrong. Super gracious staff takes care of you from the moment you arrive and the food is authentic and one of the best values anywhere. When I returned to Cal in the fall I missed this restaurant! read more

Great local spot! Fantastic food and service. My only critique would be that they cut the fish too thick - maybe in an effort to show good value? read more

Best sushi in town, hands down. Best spicy tuna in town (so far). Amazing service, amazing food.

As a vegetarian I appreciate tasty veggie options. This place has tons! It is so amazing! I ate there for dinner today and yesterday and will definitely be returning! Best seaweed soup in town. I took a star off because the miso soups wasn't veggie. read more

It's very good quality sushi. I just wish there was an AYCE option for lunch or something. But quality of sushi is really very good. The seating felt very cramped so you are very close to other tables and chairs. read more

One of my go-to sushi spots (Sushiya Zen across the street is the other). Can't go wrong with the Sima Lunch Set, or anything really. Amazing quality, great value and good service. read more

Best sushi joint in Kingston (better than Niji, which is a decent second). Very very crowded inside, and service isn't attentive (took us around 25 minutes to get our minimal order. Quality is similar to Toronto/Vancouver, albeit for double the price. read more

Absolute delicious sushi! But I think they still need some improvements. I don't really like avocado but almost all the deluxe sushi include it, it's a little bit hard for me to overcome. So maybe they could provide some choices without avocado. Everything else is great, delicate environment and services. read more

Great vibe and fantastic sushi! Although they don't have all-you-can eat, it's definitely still one of my favourite sushi places in town!

Highly recommend the Yam Dragon for vegetarians or 'new to sushi' diners. Have not found anything similar anywhere. It's always crowded so it can be a while to get your food, but it is worth it. Highly recommend! read more

I took the train to visit a friend in Kingston. It was a long train ride and I had a craving for sushi. A friend suggested Sima Sushi because he had sushi there before. I ordered the dashi tofu as an appetizer, this sadly was the only item I could tolerate. Ordered the Sushi A, it came with miso soup, salad, sushi rolls & california roll. The sushi rice was not cooked properly and poorly seasoned. The miso soup was lukewarm, the salad was not fresh at all and quite pathetic looking. My friend's salad was the same even though it did not come with his sushi order. The green tea lacked flavor and was lukewarm. I have been to bad sushi restaurants before so I have added this to the Bad sushi list to warn others not to bother with this sushi place. Go to sushi restaurant that take care of how to make their sushi and serve hot and fresh food. This was a waste of money and I won't be craving sushi for a long time. This is my first and last time here. read more

It was good but not mind blowing. It seemed pretty average however the sushi was good and it was a small location and could be easily missed however if you are looking for sushi definitely give it a try. They do serve other things as well read more

Definitely the best sushi in town. The fish is very fresh and there are also very tasty vegetarian options. My favorite is the rainbow roll, but everything I tried has been great. The service is fast and friendly, and the location is very nicely decorated. My friend is gluten intolerant, and the server handled her requests professionally and was knowledgeable about their menu options for this dietary restriction. 5 stars! read more

Very good sushi, priced relative to it's quality. The only downfall of Sima Sushi is it's popularity. The restaurant is small and has been very busy every time I have visited which made for a noisy meal. read more

Amazing! I love Sima!! The sushi, maki and sashimi are phenomenal! Excellent attentive service! It's my goal to work my way through the menu. Everything I've had has been great! Can't wait to go back. If anyone asks me where to go for sushi... I recommend Sima hands down ! read more

At Sima you will get quality, not quantity, at a reasonable price. This is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant, but I never walk away hungry. The most important thing about sushi is the rice-to-filling ratio. At Sima, they have the perfect ratio, so the fish is allowed to shine. The lunch menu is the best deal, and is offered 7 days a week. The staff is professional and better than many of the fancier restaurants in town. read more

Always busy and consistently excellent. The food and prices are both top notch so If you're looking for fast casual Sushi with great service in Kingston, this is the place! read more

Cordial service. Sushi didn't come out as expected. Does not deserve a rating higher than this when compared to sushi restaurants elsewhere.

My family and I LOVE to go to Sima when we get a craving for sushi, which is often. We were one of their first customers when they opened, and they have been treating us like royalty ever since. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is fresh and always tastes great, and the restaurant itself is quaint and comfortable. Keep up the great work, Sima! read more

Great place for a quick lunch if you are in the downtown area. Friendly staff will greet you when you walk in the door. Quick, inexpensive, great service and good quality sushi. read more

I came to eat here 2 years ago and I was very happy . I was looking forward to try this place again since I'm from out of town . This time around, I was slightly disappointed with California and Dynamite rolls. Maybe next time will be better. read more

This is the best sushi in the Kingston area. Love their California rolls. Friendly service and authentic experience.

Really great sushi and the service is fast. Lots of seating and take out is available. Ingredients are fresh and so are the dishes.

We stopped in Kingston while driving back to Toronto from Ottawa and were glad that we picked Sima Sushi for dinner. We got sushi combos (with the typical miso and salad included), which were a great value for the price. The fish was extremely fresh and tasted great. The nigiri here is a little unique: they cut the fish to be much longer than the rice, as if each one has a tail. The restaurant is pretty small, but they a lot of tables into the space so you'll be sitting very close to other diners. We arrived around 7pm on a weeknight and were lucky to get the last table without any wait. So keep in mind that it definitely fills up. read more

Sima Sushi is an adorable little sushi spot nestled in the heart of downtown. Beautifully plated fresh rolls at a good price. The staff are sweet and the wait time is short. Grab a table in the window and enjoy a lusciously fresh roll. I recommend this place as one of the top sushi places in town. read more

Great sushi. I eat a lot of sushi in Markham which has a huge Asian population. This sushi is as good as there. Service is excellent, price is fair and quality is top notch. You will not be disappointed. read more

Again and again, this is the best sushi in Kingston. Service is amazing but mostly the sashimi is out of this world. It is room temperature, soft, very high quality. We are from Montreal and there is no other sushi place that good in the Montreal or Toronto area for that matter. A real jewel in Kingston and that is the only reason why we stop by. We have travelled the world and all cities in Canada and Sima is the best. Very seriously..if you are a sushi lover and connaisseur, you will understand what I am talking about. read more

Excellence in food quality and presentation. No kids menus but a chef that understands children and is ready to adapt his sushis so that it corresponds to the children's taste. Gentle and smiling waitress to make sure her guests were comfortable. Do recommend this place read more

I was really impressed with this restaurant when I walked in. The decor makes the place a very classy restaurant for such a small space, so during the busy hours it can get quite crowded. Luckily I was there for Sunday dinner when there was a fair amount of customers. The location is centrally located in the tourist part of the city. The restaurant offers pretty much the same menu as in any good sushi restaurant with nothing making the place unique to others. Decent prices. I would recommend this place. read more

oh yeah. this place sits 38. it is some good stuff i tell you. being a sushi snob, i would have to rate this high on the list. they say hi to everyone who comes in. they blast out a high turnover without pressuring you to get out. food was great, huge rolls at a great price. you would be a fool not to try it out. read more

Quality sushi, good fish to rice ratio, diverse menu, average prices.I gave it 4 stars because the seating is very compact and I prefer a little space between myself and the couple next to me. It is always busy, a testament to the food, just a little too busy for me. read more

Been to hundreds of sushi places in Montréal, Toronto, London... Sima is the best! Here weekly and it's consistently fresh, delicious, well presented with great service! Love it!! read more

I liked the sushi here.. sashimi is very good too. Recommended. Prices are expensive, but is god. I wish they had all you can eat. Like they do in Toronto. But they don't. Anyways, good place to eat good sushi... take your Visa card with you too :) read more
